I agree, but ask Tuberville and Auburn who went 13-0 in the SEC and got left out. And they still won't change the system. Unbeaten in SEC and can't play for title and no change. Amazing.

If Bama beats UF they go to the championship so what is there to compare to '04 AU?

Bama isn't going 13-0 and being left out.

It does look like if Florida beats Bama there is a chance it isnt enough to pass OU and Texas...though I expect a ridiculous avalanche of voting to push Florida over the top.The one team that last at home will get a nod.

Florida Atlantic, UTEP, Arkansas, and Rice....

Arkansas was good when team from SEC when scheduled and they were in Cotton Bowl last year.
They won @Aub and beat Tulsa and LSU this year.

NO ONE ON OU schedule had wins of that quality. Cincy beat Pitt and @WVU. Not bad but neither is LSU or even Tulsa.

Rice was 9-3 but I am not bragging about that win, just saying not old days Rice. Rice would beat UT-Chat and Washington(OU Opp).

We all agree the BIG 12 schools play weak non conferece schedules for the most part year in and year out.

in the black.....you said

"UNDEFEATED IN SEC AND YOU ARE #1 in anyones book."

I was saying that I agree, but when Auburn did it, apparently they were not #1 in anyone's book. And added that, its amazing you have a system where a team can get through the best conf perfect and be left out and you don't change the system...

I said it and he mentioned Auburn and he was right. Being ranked 1 and 2 to start the season and carry the whole season did Auburn in all be it unjust.

I meant undefeated and no one else in the country is(BCS teams at least).

I didn't say undefeated in the SEC you are #1 in anyones book, kegray did.

I'm an SEC fan but I am not so sure Bama is better than OU or UT even though they both have a loss.

UF on the other hand, even with a loss to Ole Miss, IMO is better than Bama,UT,and OU.

But yeah I do agree the system is totally f'd up.

Well if Florida beats Bama who cares about a head to head result. Bama beat Ole Miss and Florida didnt so they should just let Bama go. We also know the Giants werent as good as the Patriots so they should give the Pats the trophy regardless of who won.

Well its not all about who the best team is. I'm pretty sure Florida is the best team in the nation. But they lost and Alabama didn't.

USC might be one of the best 2 teams in the nation. But they can't prove it b/c their schedule is horrible and they also lost.

I really think Florida and USC are the 2 best teams and would play for the title if we had an 8-team playoff.

That's just it.Shouldn't it be about who the best teams is?

I think you are better than this post. lol.

Head-to-Head used for teams that are tied. OK and TX are tied...but they are tied with TXTech and head to head comes up everyone is 1-1 between them.

People are trying to argue both sides with the head-to-head stuff.

If someone wants to say Tech should go ahead of Texas I have no problem with that. But Tech isnt even in the discussion. It is OU or Texas. in every other conference texas would wint he 3 way tie.

It should be about the best 2 teams...to an extent. Most people feel that Florida is the best team. If ALA and TX were both unbeaten (and there was no conf title game)....we can't put the "best" team in there b/c they lost, even if just b/c of missing a PAT.

ALA/TX would deserve to go even if we're pretty sure FLA is better....

Wrong, I am arguing the BIG 12 set up is horseshit.

In any other conference UT advances from the 3 way tie.

Beating OU H2H is the icing on the cake & the only truly objective judgement on the issue.

Texas Tech isn't in the discussion mainly b/c of WHEN they lost, and also by how much.

Again, you can't argue both sides. If you are going by head-to-head, its a 3-way tie.

If you are going by BCS and polls, then Oklahoma has a chance to go b/c they lost weeks ago and climbed back up while Texas lost later in the season and that hurt them.

You can't have it both ways. Head-to-head is a TIE....

The other conferences are wrong and its not fair. But I'm sure they do it to send a better team to the BCS and cheat a deserving team out of a chance to win the conference.
