Tech beat Texas. The argument for Texas over OU is about as strong as the one for Tech over Texas.

OU beat 5 Sagarin top 30 teams (TCU, Cincy, Tech, OSU, Neb)
Texas beat 3 (OSU, OU, Mizzou)
Tech beat 3 (Neb, OSU, Texas)

OU is the only team to beat one of those teams in an opponents' stadium.

OU has the most remote loss.

OU is the hottest team.

OU would be favored over Texas and Texas Tech in rematches.

OU has the largest margin of victory in the head to head matchups among the top 3 teams.

OU has the largest point differential among the 3 teams in the Big 12 South.

OU has the largest point differential among the teams against common opponents.

Enough said. OU should go. It will be close though. Texas has done a whole lot of politicking that will be the reason they go if this happens. And they are basing it on head to head which is a three way tie but spinning it in their favor somehow.

I don't think that's enough to prove OU should go but OU deserves it just as much as Texas. That's why I'm sick of hearing 45-35 when its an irrelevant argument in a 3-way tie.

Its a flawed system that needs to be done away with.

You forgot some:

OU has the weakest defense.

OU CHOKES IN BIG GAMES AWAY FROM THEIR PLACE.

AND OH YES 45-35(one more time).

OH YES....39-33 (one time)

See how dumb it sounds. You didn't win the head-to-head battle.

Tell 39-33 to the voters that have taken TT out of the mix.
Or for playing SMU, UMASS, Nevada, and Eastern Wash. Nice SOS. That is what has them out of the mix more than anything.
TT was their own worst enemy in this. You can not expect anyof those teams to be good when you schedule them.
Texas put Arkansas on its schedule and OU put TCU and even Washington(not knowing the falloff).

ENOUGH WITH TT. They shot themselves in the foot.

I'll agree its a worse schedule, but all 3 of them basically scheduled 4 non-conference wins. I'll reluctantly give you Arkansas, but come on. No way either team was losing outside the conference.

Beating OU H2H is the icing on the cake & the only truly objective judgement on the issue.

Sure it is when it comes from someone that is seeing through burnt orange colored glasses. Obviously all three teams have an argument. What if Tech were to lose to OU at the beginning of the season and then go on to beat Texas. Their ranking would be higher and they would be right there in the thick of things as far as rankings go. As we all know that it has turned into when you lose not necessarily who or how you lose.

Weakest defense- statistically yes
OU chokes- great argument, are you going to keep that one for your thesis?
45-35---- 39-33 (had to get that in one more time myself)
