2nd Round early play

2nd Round early play

I'm probably done for the 1st round. The only thing I might consider is an under bet in-game tomorrow if right number shows. I have a strong feeling Clips pull it out tomorrow, but no nothing on the handicap to back that up. It's really a tossup at this point and I don't intend to get involved. Don't need to at this point. The game will be thoroughly enjoyable without putting any money on it. Hopefully, I'll find time to tally up my 1st round record tomorrow during the one of the best days in sports I can remember in a long time. Should be a fun one.

May 4th
CLE -5 x5

I'll post a write-up on this game before tip on Monday, but expect this line to move up. It's already getting tough to find 5's out there. I think the line will close around 6/6.5. Also lean to MEM and over in the other game. The under should be a trend in the CLE/CHI series, just not sure about the first game. Plus, the total has already dropped 2.5 since the opener, so I'm not too excited about getting involved at the lower number of 204.

Two teams trending in opposite directions... this price is shorter than I had hoped, but it's still not too late to jump on the Wiz bandwagon. Hawks have some issues - Thabo out, Horford and Millsap playing with injuries. If Whitman plays his cards right with the on-floor matchups (and that's a leap of faith for me) like he did last round, the Wiz have a good shot at advancing to the next round. They have the personnel to do it, it just a matter of have the right players on the floor at the right time.

Should have stayed away from the total last night. What a game though.

Adding to what I already have:
WAS +5 x4
WAS ML +170 x2

WAS +6 (-120) x5

Really like catching the 6 here with a little half point buy. Hawks with virtually no time to turn around from that win in BKN and prepare for WAS, may get caught off guard. Love how WAS matches up with good size down low plus combination of youth and athleticism at both G positions...makes this team very dangerous. Pierce is a huge veteran presence and clutch shot-maker as well.

Record (finally)

Record (finally)

1ST ROUND RECORD
Full game sides: 4-1 +16.1
Full game totals: 5-5 -1.5
1H sides: 1-2 -4.6
1H totals: 1-3 -8.0
1Q sides: 1-1 +4.0
1Q totals: 6-1 +13.8
2H sides: 0-2 -7.45
2H totals: 4-2 +8.5
Live/In-game: 12-10 +3.0
Parlays: 1-1 +6.5
Teasers: 1-0 +2.0

All sides & totals in 1st Round
22-17 +20.85

All plays (Including In-game, Parlays & Teasers) in 1st Round
36-28 +32.35

Clearly I am better at game sides and 1Q totals than anything else
Second half plays have been good to me too. Maybe focus more on what works as the playoffs move on
I'm glad I was able to refocus and rebound after a very rough start. Last night of the regular season and first day of the playoffs were just brutal. Great start to the 2nd round with a Wizards win yesterday for +14.4 (3-0). Already looking at the Wiz in game two. It doesn't look like linesmakers have caught up to the way both those teams are playing.
CLE -5 x5 pending for tonight. Line moved down, so I may have more on that later...

PLAYOFFS SO FAR
Sides/Totals: 24-17 +33.25
All plays (including In-game, Parlays & Teasers): 39-28 +46.75

Even if Paul plays with his ailing hamstring, don't expect the offense to function at the same level of efficiency. Fading the Clippers tired legs tonight...

LAC TT UNDER 26 (-105) x2
LAC TT UNDER 52.5 (-115) x5

Line has gotten high enough for me to jump in. Doubt that we'll see 7.5, but if we do, I may be tempted to grab a +8 on a half point buy.

And a 7.5 just showed. Adding:

WAS +8 (-120) x3 to win x2.5

...Total of x7.5 to win x6.5 on the Wiz tonight. Why does it seem like the market thinks this is the same Hawks team from Dec-Jan

Posted this prop earlier in the other thread I started about performances coming off wining an MVP trophy. I'm not huge on player props, but gonna take a shot with this anyway...

Stephen Curry OVER 26.5 pts x2

I also have a strong lean to GS, but was holding out for a 9.5 and then missed the boat. I'll aim to take a shot on them in-game as long as they don't get out to a fast start. I think the market is sending a strong signal towards the Warriors when Conley is officially declared in for tonight's game and the line only moves a 1/2 point to a point down when you have everybody in the media talking about how important he is to this Memphis team. The Warriors remained in total control in game 1 despite a somewhat mediocre performance, while Memphis was playing about as hard as they can and it still wasn't enough to cover. Memphis is in trouble in this series, that's obvious. It's only a matter of whether they get swept or will this series end back at Oracle.

OK, jumping in for a small amount, but gonna look for more on the Warriors side in-game. I convinced myself during my brief write-up a moment ago

GSW -10 (-120) x3 to win x2.5

I'm going to wait for an in-game and hope to catch GS at a better price. Think this hovers around 10 in the end but I do like GS for most of the reasons you mentioned. Agree that Memphis is in trouble this series.

Thad,
Seeing 9.5 at the first commercial break, what do you think? Green on the bench with two fouls and Lee a defensive liability matching up with Randolph. Conley and Grizz seem to be hanging in for now... think I'm going to hold out for a better number.

Got in at 8.5. Not super value but think they are going to ratchet it up here and didn't want to wait much longer. Hope we both didn't get in too early. :scared GL Deezy.

I see they moved the in-game line to 8.5 after taking a point away from GS. I'm gonna hold out a little bit longer. That's a favorable number though.

Well here's the better number. Not sure I want to put any more on it but 5.5 seems solid.

My small first quarter over 50 bet isn't looking so good ether.
