Sure. I know these seem obvious, but when you are betting MLs against teams who are losing with purpose, the return on investment far exceeds the risk.

makes $ to me.

nothing will get between the Knicks chance at Zion .

Nothing except that 86% lottery odds that they DONT get him
The Knicks deciding to go all-in on tanking the year after the NBA changes the lottery odds to deter tanking is the Knicksiest thing ever.

Despite the notion that Sacramento look like they have nothing to play for, I do believe the play against Dallas is a good one today. Sacramento may be virtually eliminated from playoff contention, but I think that finishing the season at or above .500 for the first time in 13 years would be meaningful for this group. The Kings should continue to put in a strong effort each night and thus, I would open up a two leg ML parlay with them tonight as the first leg and look towards pairing that with Denver tomorrow playing in New York.

Kings need this win to get to 500 tonight and I've written about this in here before, but the importance of finishing the season above 500 for this team is the biggest motivator for any team outside of the playoffs currently. Looking ahead at the Kings schedule, four of their remaining nine games (including tonights) are very winnable and they will need to finish 5-4 just to get to 500. Its been 14 seasons and don't think the young guys on this team aren't aware of that.

Meanwhile, the Hawks are in New Orleans playing a very winnable game against the Pels tonight. Dallas is up 3.5 games in the (tank-a-thon) standings with just 9 games to go. Carlisle, Cuban and Haralabob are all very aware of this. I can't stress this enough, but the Mavs pick that they traded to the Hawks in the Doncic trade is TOP 5 PROTECTED this year and the Hawks currently sit as the 5th-lowest team in the standings. Meanwhile, the Hawks conitnue to show effort (definetly not a tanking team) and Trae Young is trying to make a late push for rookie of the year. That line has flipped from NO -2 to ATL -2, which is a huge indicator. The Davis (doubtful) factor does play a small role in that, but his nightly contribution of 20 minutes and a 4th quarter bench role really minimize his affect on the betting line. Without declaring this team an outrigth tanker, it is clear that they are not making evey effort to win games, with Alvin Gentry using some very questionable lineups and curious decision making late in games. Pels are on a 1-9 run with thier only win coming against the, you guessed it, tanking Dallas Mavericks. Come to think of it as I am writing, a small Hawks-Kings ML parlay may be worth our while tonight as Dallas attempts to inch closer to that bottom-5 spot in the standings. With everyone's attention on the MVP race in the Bucks-Rockets matchup tonight, these are games with some big implications that most bettors will overlook tonight.

....Adding 2.5x to the Kings ML in an open parlay and planning to parlay that with the PORTLAND ML tomorrow in what will be a massivly emotional come-back game for them in Chicago after the ugly Nurkic injury.
ALSO, playing a 3-team ML parlay for 3x units (not sure of payout yet becuase of open spot):
SAC ML x ATL ML x [OPEN] - the open spot being Portland ML tomorrow.

Stay tuned... there will be some more very favorable situations coming up in NBA over the last 2-1/2 weeks of the regular season. Also keep an eye out of LIVE BETTING opportunities with these specific situations! Something great usually shows up on a nightly basis, just have to be following and watching closely for a well-timed bet. I'll try to post updates over in my LIVE NBA thread.

I had to reread this at least three times (mostly about the protected draft pick issue) and then I realized that this is some of the most brilliant handicapping of the year. Oh...and it won.

:toast:

Hope everyone with an open leg on the parlay got that filled with the PORTLAND ML today. Bulls continuing to sit many of their best players.

The Bulls are missing 80% of their usual starting lineup, so Sampson is likely looking at some minutes. Lauri Markkanen is just "worn out" according to coach Jim Boylen, but he may not be out for long. Sampson is a desperation stream or DFS play.

Really quick since its getting late...

Toronto, Kings and Heat look like good ML plays, however I would caution anyone playing on the Heat that they are sitting a bunch of guys, but they are gunning for a playoff spot and it feels like Coach Spo and Co. may know they can get away with one tonight at home with Dallas being a poor road team. If you are feeling good, leave one spot open in a parlay to fill with Miami ML on Saturday in NY.

Just as a quick follow-up... I have to pick one of the three games today to close out the last leg of a parlay left over from Tuesday and I am going with SAC on the road in New Orleans. Don't love that Miami is holding out some starters and they did screw me once months back on one of these other games that I went against a tanker...don't remember which. Sac is playing good ball right now. Breakout second half of the season for Hield who is shooting well and he has some revenge going against the team that drafted a traded him away. New Orleans have some guys out, including Davis, which really only matters for the 1st half when he plays, but no Frank Jackson and no Moore either.

VERY dissapointing from Sac. They had the game. Not sure if New Orleans was the beneficiary of a few late calls... I'd have to go back and look. Anyway, they puts a damper on the week.

as if it wasnt already obvious, this makes it official that the Lakers are tanking:

LeBron to miss last six games of Lakers season

Today, I played SAC+10 right before tip, but couldnt post in time. I would still play them with live wagering at 9.5 or better, but one could wait until halftime and possibly save some juice on a better number.

Heat ML helps me fill out the 2nd leg of an open parlay. I will open up another 2-teamer with an eye towards the OKC ML (vs DAL) tomorrow. The well-coached Heat are contending for the last playoff spot in the east and shouldn't have a problem dispatching the least talented team in the league on the road.

Another quick note, this SAC/HOU game is the first leg of a H&H, so more than likely, I will be back with a play in this series on Tuesday.

SAC +6 at half seems fair... small lean there, but I don't like how they are 11-16 from 3-pt and there could be some regression there. my inclination is to lay off and wait for a better number. Obviously, I have 10, so am in no rush to invest more in this game, but if I were looking to jump in for some more, I would monitor PJ Tucker fouls because he has 3 at the moment and you could see the Kings on a run if he has to sit for any lengthy period if he picks up another early one in the 3rd qtr.
