Every American has to watch this tonight.

I think your right about the Ugly part.

Anything will go.

One thing about McCain , he aint backing down to much.

He will be in there giving his all.

We knew this election was going to get like this.

The politics forum called that one.

So many countrys around the world , watching seeing if they can understand democracy.

This is the image we project to the world ?

Lies, corruption, power, money. :scared

Not sure why other nations dont care much for us.

I'd like to take this time to try an over and under on the lies told tonight,

McCain I set at over 10 even
Under 9 +260

Obama I set at over 6 +275
Under 5 -1290

I think the lines makers believe McCain will do a good job trying to convince the American people that he is the right guy for the job. I'm gonna go with the inside info I got earlier and lay the -1290 on Obama to win $100, and parlay that to the even money with MCain in a if-win-only bet!! Looks like $200 east dollars to me!!!!!

How much do these debates matter? Last time Kerry destroyed Bush in all 3 but it made no difference with the voters. They take what they want out of it no matter how badly their candidate does.

i think this time it matters alot...

i truly believe that this election is a referendum on obama....people really don`t know him...how he handles himself will be extremely important....

and i think the timing of the financial crisis plays into democrat hands...

the obama folks were saying that this debate,on foreign policy,is the one debate in which they`ll be happy to just get by.....this is mccain`s strong suit....

unfortunately for mccain,i`m not sure how much foreign policy "stuff" will get covered with the financial crisis front and center...

the stars are aligning with "the one"...

........................................................

It may be his strong suit. If he can remember the differance between Iraq groups

and he wont have anyone standing next to him in this debate.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
i truly believe that this election is a referendum on obama
One week can be a lifetime in politics. There has been one disciplined and on message campaign in all of 2008, and it's not McPalin. But this election has always been coming down to a referendum on Obama, and he has to make the final connections to close the deal, October surprises notwithstanding.
The Obama campaign will remain on message: John McCain vs. Barack Obama.

The winning campaign usually succeeds best in defining their opponent. McCain has been impulsive, petty, erratic, and angry in employing tactics rather than a strategy in lobbing spitballs at Obama, and Obama has executed a disciplined strategy of not blinking. There was never any alarm on the part of Obama and the Axelrod team that Palin or the polls or the condescension was undermining the consistent themes of the last 18 months, and events and McPalin have brought the campaign right back to where the strategy anticipated. Obama has had a good run as the voting started this week, and he can really do himself some good tonight, before Sarah Palin takes the stage to reinforce a consistent theme. Nevertheless, Barack Hussein Obama still has to make the final connections to close the deal, and there are still plenty of ways for the election to break against the junior senator from Illinois.
