I certainly hope Palin has no plans to run for higher office. She's lost what little credibility she had by turning her back on the people of Alaska. They elected her to do a job and she decided to quit because she couldn't take the heat anymore.

As President, Obama takes more heat in a day than Palin takes in a month as the governor of Alaska. If this doesn't prove she's not up to the task of holding office on a national level, nothing does.

She's cashing out. I can respect that. Books, shows on Fox News that will please the wanna-be conservative nitwit audience, and lecture circuits will bring in many $ millions. Why not? Strike while the celebrity iron is hot. It's not like she can get any further in her political career.

If I were you all I'd be less concerned about Palin and more concerned about this dingbat--who is next in line to run country behind O and Biden--

Only thing I see her qualified for is Clapping Seal Act @ Sea World.

I dare anyone to watch this video and say they'd vote for her :)

Agree with you about Pelosi. She gave in to everything Bush wanted.

She comes across as such a phony

"How sad that Washington and the media will never understand; it's about country," Palin said in a statement attributed to her on her Facebook page.

Yeah... I liked her for about 10 seconds when I first heard of her. I have a soft spot for "mavericks" (if it's legitimate, which is rarely is).

Then I heard her speak... Well shit, half the posters in this political forum have a more mature, nuanced approach and understanding of political affairs than her.

Ross Perot was a true maverick. He just couldn't SPEAK to the American people...

What could have been...

And I speak only on domestic affairs... He could have been a foreign nightmare but none the less...

little pink guy running....

Maybe someone could do side by side comparison
-- of their family history
--rise/associates in politics
--achievments for state of Alaska vs south side Chicago (qualifications and experience)
--illegal immigration (oops that would come under family history)
--dual citizenships
--or any other topic you had in mind ;)

"the bunker"
while we`re here on the topic of women in politics, does anyone remember hillary r. clinton?......, wasn`t she the secretary of state for awhile there?...

why is our chief diplomat not in russia with the boss?

could it be that the boss has no use for her take on things? ...and if that is the case, is it wise for every foreign policy move to be made by a single individual?...

don't they have a word for that sort of behavior?...lol

/lets get that second stimulus package moving....the first one was gonna keep the unemployment rate at or below 8%....and jumpstart the economy..those shovel ready jobs....

healthcare...crap and trade...second stimulus...selling the farm to the russkies while selling out eastern european allies down the river(along with strategic defense).....taking the wrong side of the honduran issue...

the plan is working...:toast:

I disagree, I think she is a old school. Conservative to the core and would make a wonderful President, she has way more qualifications than the annointed one...

Your a glutton for punishment--Lets take them one at a time--

-- of their family history

O's father was drunk--fathered numerous kids by numerous wifes -- Met O mothers a self professed hippy who as O said in his book- had "a thing" for black muslim men. Both had supposed Dr degrees but bilked the tax payor with welfare benefits (food stamps) --so much for your intellectual theories--
and as a side note tossed Gumby like a used condom in his early youth. Had it not been for his conservative grand parents taking him in- he would probably be living in Kenya with rest of his family--

--and your Palin comparison?

Thanks for pointing out that only a man of Barack Obama's character and strength could overcome so much and go on to become the President of the most powerful nation on Earth. You're clearly coming around DTB. ;)
