That was hilarious, and I actually believed him when I saw the press conference. He just goes to a different place in his mind than everyone else. What is discussed at his dinner table with his wife? Do they spend any time together? Such focus, its why he is the best.

Uneducated? They were very educated. That's why they voted the way they did.

This comment is exactly why the middle America people came out in masses and renounced the status quo. The government thinks they are stupid, treats them as they are stupid, and all the while taking their tax dollars to fund the people that they think are smart. The liberals in government (Dems and Repubs both) have fallen away from the people that support this country. That's why this uprising happened.

Love it.:00hour

My comment had nothing to do with being stupid, just calling it like it is. Non college whites showed up to vote en masse for Trump. Back in the day, bill clinton competed for this group. They have since shifted to GOP, and the group rallied behind trump at an unprecented level......

WHITES WITHOUT A DEGREE
2016: R+39 (Rep wins by 39 points)
2012: R+26
2008: R+18
2004: R+23
2000: R+17
1996: D+1
1992: D+1

A friend of mine coached with him and he said he is 100 percent asswipe. Its his way or the highway and he don't give a rats ass which way you choose. He said easily the hardest working man in college football,,and easily the biggest ass as well,,,,,

Opinions on this?

I think it's ridiculous. Compare this to Mr. Obama's presidency. I don't particularly care for him or his politics, but I have been supportive of him in the role, and I respect him greatly bc he is my president, and I want him to succeed and our country to succeed as well. N

I don't see any good or positives coming from this not my president campaign.

Can you list out her convictions?

Ridiculous comments like this strip any credibility from your posts in this thread. Any objective person who reads the contents of the hacked emails would agree with the fact that HC was using her position as SoS to funnel money for pay to play directly into their personal bank account. The 12M to Morocco was a prime example that is impossible to spin any other way. If it was any entity outside of the Clintons, the Clinton Foundation would be hit with RICO and a slew of other charges.

Yes, it's utterly ridiculous. I am about as anti-Trump as you're likely to find, but he is my president. It is to my unending shame and embarrassment, but he is.

But this is not new. Many of the political conversations with my mom/dad and MIL/FIL (all staunch Republicans) over the last 8 years have begun like this:

Them: Did you see what your president did?
Me: You mean our president?
Them: He's not MY president

Here is Rush Limbaugh just before Obama was inaugurated in 2009:

I disagree fervently with the people on our side of the aisle who have caved and who say, "Well, I hope he succeeds. We've got to give him a chance." Why? They didn't give Bush a chance in 2000. Before he was inaugurated the search-and-destroy mission had begun. I'm not talking about search-and-destroy, but I've been listening to Barack Obama for a year-and-a-half. I know what his politics are. I know what his plans are, as he has stated them. I don't want them to succeed.

A couple weeks after Republicans took back Congress in 2010, Mitch McConnell said "Our top political priority over the next 2 years should be to deny President Obama a 2nd term."

So - yes - Republicans are correct that 4 and 8 years ago there were not protests/riots in the street, but this revisionist history of "we accepted the results and hoped for the best; Democrats are being a bunch of babies" rings hollow as hell. Instead, they formed the Tea Party movement 3 weeks after Obama was inaugurated. And as much as I loathe most of the positions of that movement, that is a far more productive reaction. Channel your energy into something that's actually for political purpose. What's going on in Portland, Oregon is about the stupidest thing I've ever seen. Multnomah County went for Clinton 73.9% to 17.1%, yet they still are going around smashing stuff. So basically - a bunch of Hillary supporters going around destroying things owned by other Hillary supporters, saying "I'm too angry to make sense."

This is all just a cycle - or rather a spiral. "You fought tooth and nail against my guy so I'm going to fight tooth and nail against yours." You end up with massive gridlock, with each side blaming the other. Meanwhile, nothing actually gets solved. We invent problems ("Oh no; we're about to hit the debt ceiling!") and then solve those and declare victory.

The level of political discourse in this country right now is a train wreck and badly needs to be elevated. The thing about that though, is that it means taking the high road even when others don't. But all it takes are a couple of comments from people like homedog and suddenly people are just calling each other morons.

Could not keep on point as hoped. Sad. Not surprised.
Some of his appointments are terrible as bringing Bannon to the WH. When the ADL and Southern Poverty Law Center call you out that is bad. Also adding Florida AG Pam Bondi to his transition team. Declined to investigate Trump U after receiving $25000 from Trump's foundation. Also cozy with a criminal organization, errr religion called Scientology.

Serious question for Trump backers...

How is the deficit and debt possibly going to decrease with Trump's agenda? Seems like it's only going to increase significantly with what he's promised to do.

Why not give the guy several months to get into office, pick his cabinet and get started with his administration?
One thing for sure he will not be spending million of dollars jetting off to Hawaii and other exotic locations while letting his wife take her own flight , costing tax payers 3 million dollars for a round of golf and not taking a 400k salary. I would say that is a start.

Here's the thing. What does an increasing deficit mean in the day-to-day lives of Americans? Nada. Zilch. It's an imaginary number. Our media has blown so many government shutdowns out of proportion and people are now deaf to it. Don't get me wrong- I'm not saying this is a good thing. I am saying that most voters, regardless of the side of the aisle, don't really care about the deficit because it doesn't directly impact them.

Why was this such a constant bash against Obama then?
