Trump as pres is a little scary, but America has spoken. They are done with the status quo. I felt similar anxiety with O, but he had a solid run. A couple things come to mind this morning......

1. Walls and mass deportations wont get through congress. Trump was talking ish on that stuff, anyway. Anyone thinking otherwise is not as smart as they think.

2. I bet trump sheds his over-the-top, reality TV persona and becomes a civil leader. I skimmed thru his victory speech, and i appreciate the tone. A clear step in the right direction. Still, he should not be allowed to tweet until January, 2021

3. The best part of election coverage was watching Chris Matthews and Rachel Maddow struggle to deal with this upset.

4. During O's 8 years, esteemed board members have called our four musketeers( hedgie, lowell, skul and ray )America haters for not supporting the POTUS. Let's see if the esteemed board members love America by supporting this POTUS.

5. Screw moving to Canada. Nothing but a bunch of Snow Mexicans up there, but im glad to have dual citizenship with Spain:0074

No it has to do with them being racist assholes.

Oh, and one more thing. Huge, huge props to Nate Silver at FiveThirtyEight. I followed his site for the past 6 months. He was the only one who gave Trump a chance. By doing so, he got absolutely scorched by mainstream media. He refused to take polls at face value and used multiple parameters to give him what he felt were more real data. He was vilified for manipulating poll data for his own purpose. The truth of the matter is that he's a statistician and he was just doing what math nerds do. But he was the only guy in this country who gave Trump a statistical chance to win. Brilliant guy.

The man was giving Hillary a 70% chance of winning going in to election day.

As a Conservative living and voting in the Liberal bastion of New York State, I want to say thank you, because my vote has never counted.
Especially to all of those who didn't blindly follow the Liberal Media who had the race all gift wrapped up for the "honorable Secretary of State" and got out and voted and brought home the Rust Belt states that sealed the deal.
Hopefully this election will bring an end to the political correctness that has run amuck for the last 8 years.
Donald Trump is a flawed candidate but the American people have decided he's not nearly out of touch as his opponent and her surrogates in the media are.
What a great day to be an American!

I'm now a racist because I said Mexicans... There is other words I could have used to describe Mexicans but I didn't because I am not a racist.

Saint: I stand by my comment. Voting against your best interest and that of your family is dumb. Don't like Obamacare, let's fix it not scrap it. Don't think the economy is growing fast enough, don't crash it with policies proven not to work.

Cie: Go ahead and compare the next year of posts and tell me if you think they are indiscernible. You know it won't be comparable.

I have an open mind, so I'm willing to give this President a chance to make things better. He says he knows more than our generals about ISIS. I want ISIS destroyed, so let's see what he can do. Having a more aggressive leader might be a really good thing on this front. I want a better national health care system. I think Obamacare was a great step in the right direction. If Trump says he has a better program, I hope he is right and will wait to see what he comes up with. He says he is going to make "great" trade deals and bring back jobs to the USA. I'm rooting for him and the economy. If gay marriage and other social progression is stalled or reversed, I will voice my displeasure. If we keep focusing on criminalizing drugs instead of legalizing them, I'll complain.

In short, I want things to get better and I don't think he's the right guy. Everyone seems to think a new course is needed, so here we go. Republican president, house and senate. If they don't make anything happen, I'll be the first to point out that this is a complete indictment of the Republican platform. No excuses. If nothing gets done, 2020 will be more change and possibly the end of the GOP as we know it. Time to walk the walk fellas, but I see your broken legs and can't see it happening.

What's so hard to understand? Everyone else was giving him a 0%. 30%- you run it 10 times he wins 3. No different than a sporting event with a 70/30 split- the team at the 30% end will win a few of those if the conditions are right.

I don't disagree with what you posted. I just think a lot of what he puffed about in his campaigning was rhetoric to win the vote. I don't really think he will come through with all of those things. I think he will back off trying to put Hillary in jail. I don't necessarily think they will totally repeal Obamacare. I could be wrong but I think his acceptance speech last night is more of the tone he is going to take.

And this is what is frustrating and supports my "dumb" remark. People know he's not going to do anything, but they bought in. Now, we get change for the sake of change. Dumb. If he was really going to do some of those things he promised, he would have presented plans, but that meant he had some. He doesn't and will scramble to put stuff together with the braintrust that gave us the 2007 economic crash. Awesome.

Don't care if he puts her in jail or not. If she is guilty of a crime then she should go to jail. I think there are some war crimes that haven't been accounted for so hopefully Cheney is next in line. If he does pursue this, it will tell us what he's all about......him. If he can let it go and worry about the country instead of being vindictive, I'll be pleasantly surprised and hopeful.

Congrats to those that supported him. Please make sure to follow him on twitter and look for him in his upcoming court case for fraud at Trump university in 20 days. Then look for his upcoming special in December when he goes to court for sexual assault.

I'm happy for those that wanted him and commiserate with those that didn't.

Yes dead money, maybe political correctness will go away and you can go back to being rude and make hurtful statements towards others and finally feel good about calling a spade a spade again.

Such a moron. 70% chance, as in, she was the favorite. It wasn't his opinion, it was what the polling models said. Wake the fuck up.

I did. I put money where my mouth was and won. The polling models were corrupt. They were shaded by the Liberal media that the establishment controlled. But you believed them. I didn't and to an extent it appears silver did not as well. And you call me dumb. So who needs to wake the fuck up.
