Realistically, what do you think you could shoot at Augusta?

being allowed to alternate between throwing the ball and hitting it with a club, realisticaly i think i could break 1000. club alone, should be able to break 4000 on a good day.

The length not a problem? The length is eliminating 80% of the PGA Tour field pal I think it would be a problem. Have you ever played a 7400 yard course? Didnt think so. And if you havent been there you could not imagine the elevation changes on this place. Kinda like you dont understand the banking of a race track until you go there. If you tripped and fell walking off the 10th tee you would roll for 350 yards before you could stop. #18 is STRAIGHT uphill to the point where a lot of spectators (smokers mostly) have to stop halfway up to rest. Im talking a 2 or 3 club difference. I could break par there but its doubtful anyone else on this board could break 90. I will post up and bet 10,000 that I can break 72 if anyone can get us on there. :SIB

i havent played a 7400 yard course but you're gonna break par???

:mj07:

i've played plenty of 7300-7500 yard courses (torrey from the back and pga west from the back are two that immediately come to mind)....my point is if you hit the ball 230-250 off the tee the added length is going to be a major problem for you....if you hit the ball 290-310 the length isnt as much of a factor.....plus agusta is fairly wide open....it's the speed of the greens and pin positions that will kill most people

wait is that you on the leaderboard at 1 under

In the fields of psychology and psychoanalysis, Napoleon complex (or Napoleon syndrome) is a colloquial term used to describe a type of inferiority complex suffered by people who are short

1. angry napoleon syndrome

Little short men with attitudes. Usually they are looking for a fight.

Compensatory behavior exhibited by those with a Napoleon complex may also include being overly aggressive or argumentative and a need to over-achieve, which all serve to give the person a sense of greater self worth.

Im not back, dont worry about it. Can I call you Nap for short? Have fun with it....

Buddy is nothing short of genius operating amongst us.

He knew where this (golf) thread was going to go.

play around level on most courses but i would be hard pressed to break 80 the way the course is set up today

i putt well however and if i hit a few greens and kept it on the right side of the hole 78 might be manageable

bad day and am looking at 90 though

I will kiss your ass and his in front of everyone if Kosar is 1 inch taller than 5'8" WITHOUT SHOES OR ANY OUTSIDE HELP, FLAT FOOTED. I would wager he is more like 5'5" but seeing as how I dont want to kiss a mans ass I played it safe.

Maybe so queer but I would get to play Augusta, AND win 10 Dimes.

Well hero, you would be in 19th place today and only a handful of shots off the lead. Makes one wonder why you aren't out there today, or every weekend for that matter just tearing it up and making boatloads of cash instead of making fake wagers on a web forum

Could it be, maybe, just maybe that you are completely full of shit? Nah, that couldn't be it, especially when you know so much about golf that it's the only forum on here you will post in now.

I am willing to guess that whatever you hacks THINK you can shoot......go ahead and add 5-7 strokes.......

I dont care if you are a scratch golfer.......there are TONS of scratch golfers in the world. It is totally different to be playing on PGA Tour courses and their setups. The average Joe scratch golfer at your club would probably shoot in the mid 80's on Thursdays Masters course. There are guys that you can probably say are easily the best golfers you have ever seen in your life, and ask them why they arent pursuing a career in the PGA, and the answer is that they simply arent good enough.

Tour players are about 4 steps above your average Joe scratch golfer........and some of the best players in the world are shooting in the mid 70's today. Good luck being within 10 strokes of that, LOL

actually, only 1-2 shots separate those who can make it and those who can't

and then there are those of use who are another 1-2 shots behind those that couldnt quite make it

not much difference champ

personally have played with many tour pros 4-5 of which have played augusta one who is playing today and know what the difference is so i don't need some trunkslammer telling me what i can and couldn't shoot

it's a golf course

it's a bit longer with youtrch pin positioning and fast greens (but wide open fairways).....add approx 10% to your normal score (15%-20% if your a bad golfer)

it's not like a 75-80 type golfer on a normal course is gonna go out there and struggle to break 95.
