i'm gonna guess the worse golfer you are (and the shorter you are) the more strokes that course is gonna add in tourney conditions......7400 yards for the masters is a major difference than the 6700 or 6800 for members.

EXACTLY

Next time you're in Tahoe, play Edgewood. It's 7,800 from the tips......but the altitude makes up for the distance.

Well congratulations Dr Freeze.......in your imaginary round in the Masters, you shot a 78. You get anything for that?? :violin:

I am in no way claiming to be a superstar golfer....I know I personally would be pounding the ball around Augusta for days.

All I am saying is that a buddy of mine, who used to be the head professional at Bay Hill for Arnold Palmer said he would have trouble breaking 82 on a tournament setup. And I am certain that you couldnt sniff his jock, even though you might like to. :142hump:

Well I can tell you that MOST club Pros cant play a lick, although if he were at Bay Hill Im sure he was a pretty accomplished player but 82? Come on, these courses arent THAT tough.

Agent, come on man.......these guys only think all year how to create the most challenging course for the best players in the world.

A lot of these guys would take 4 rounds of par and consider it a HUGE success.

There is a whole higher level of golf out there that most of us know nothing about.

Same as bowling......some fat stud may think that he is ready to get his PBA card because he can average 225 in his bowling league, but the truth is, is that in the PBA there are complex setups that would make the average Joe look silly.

And my wager stands, I bet anyone on here $10,000 I can break 72 there. Get us on!

Maybe I can pull some strings. My dad is a businessman in the Augusta area. I'm sure he will be motivated when I tell him there is a guaranteed $10,000 in it for us. I would, of course, have to see the money first.

Here's my breakdown:

If you ARE good enough to break par at Augusta, then there were only 18 golfers as good as you today on the PGA Tour, AND let's not forget that these guys are recognized as the best golfers in the world, AND those 18 have had 3 days to practice, AND most of them have played the course for at least the past 5-10 years...

You must be quite the hustler at your local club. Have any of your playing buddies caught on to the fact that you are in the 99th percentile of golfers in the world?

Agent is a Class A BS artist who bets $20 a game and plays .25 Poker online and thinks he is an expert at both. Now that he's won a couple of Dairy Queen Opens at the local putt-putt, he's ready to break par at Augusta.

And I wouldnt be playing it under tournament conditions, I thought the question was from the Member tees but makes no difference, someone get me on and I will bet them 10 Dimes. There is 1 stipulation in the miniscule chance that someone on here could pull this off, my Dad comes along or no bet.

And it is amazing that not one person on here is smart enough to figure out I would pay 10 Dimes to play Augusta. If I HAPPEN to break par, HEY, I played it AND got paid 10 Gs.

And to realistically answer the question you should at least be able to break an egg with a club or know anything at all about the game.

I will kiss your ass and his in front of everyone if Kosar is 1 inch taller than 5'8" WITHOUT SHOES OR ANY OUTSIDE HELP, FLAT FOOTED. I would wager he is more like 5'5" but seeing as how I dont want to kiss a mans ass I played it safe.

:mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: LMFAO, I will have no further comment, except to say that your wager would be correct and I was being as sarcastic as a mother fker, but I have not met Kosar I am only agreeing though based on his posts that he might be displaying napoleon-esque tendencies, good detective work on your part, now as far as you breaking 75 on augusta that would be hard, but none of us are getting out there anytime soon without a major connection so I think it's a moot point anyway, but a damn hard golf course.......

Sure, I remember him, but I don't know him personally. He played in the 70's - 80's. He won a tourn. once...Quad Cities i think. He was a grinder.

Bahama Mama is more than welcome to post in this thread.

Annie has been around a long time and has earned her keep.

And besides, in her mind, she's already seen all of us men in our underpants.
