Realistically, what do you think you could shoot at Augusta?

According to what I found, 80 some players can hit it 300 yds plus. But I don't think any of them are as consistent nor as accurate.

I am willing to guess that whatever you hacks THINK you can shoot......go ahead and add 5-7 strokes.......

I dont care if you are a scratch golfer.......there are TONS of scratch golfers in the world. It is totally different to be playing on PGA Tour courses and their setups. The average Joe scratch golfer at your club would probably shoot in the mid 80's on Thursdays Masters course. There are guys that you can probably say are easily the best golfers you have ever seen in your life, and ask them why they arent pursuing a career in the PGA, and the answer is that they simply arent good enough.

Tour players are about 4 steps above your average Joe scratch golfer........and some of the best players in the world are shooting in the mid 70's today. Good luck being within 10 strokes of that, LOL

Arnold Palmer, his wife and another couple are at a restaurant having dinner. Two guys sitting nearby at another table. The one guy says loud enough for Palmer to hear, "If he gave me one a side, I'd play him $1,000 nassau." Palmer replies, "I'll give you three a side and we'll play $10,000 nassau." The two guys left the restaurant.

Oh my what a classic thread. For the thread title, I would be lucky to break 90, from the Member tees. As you see, most from that distance are doing pretty well and I am sure stimpmeter if available would be 10-11 instead of 12-15 as predicted (never tested ) during tournament. Chad possibly could have done 75-78 but very much doubt it. I doubt he would have broken 85 even today. Just saying

Hey Chuck
Having been fortunate to have played with you on occasions..at the time this thread started (2006) I would wager you would break 90... 80% of time and 80 15% of time. Your all around game was excellent but you short game and putting suburb. The variable is.. I don't know what speed greens for members, but I assume not set up for masters.

A bit about agent (Chad). I have had opportunity to play with him on occasion I and in my opinion is he is a player. It doesn't really matter on his comments or mine but I will give forum a reference to determine on your own.

While Chad has not played Masters he has played Indiana Open at "Victoria National golf course" in state amateur's and shot 73 on one round. Considering its slope level.... while I would not wager Chad would break par at Augusta ..I would consider it would be a distinct possibility..

Victoria National slope rating...

Victoria National plays at 7242 yards from the tips and is a par 72. It has a ridiculous 77.7 rating and is one of the most challenging courses in the state.

Masters slope rating....

Nov 12, 2020 — Top 100 Course Panelist: Member tees: 71.0/130 / Masters tees: 74.5/135. The USGA slope rating is unique in that it's the relative difficulty of .

an additional note...while i feel 1st madjacks gathering at his was the best... the 2nd best would be where my buddy and I had predetermined between and Chad and Arrow.
While most event data is on how drunk and amusement rather than quality we had a most interesting match daily with bets beginning at $20 a hole and escalating to $100 a hole. Playing golf when your graded on how silly/amusing you are vs competitive golf is 2 different venues.

We had great /challenging time enjoying the competitive match and juices that flow when there is a risk. Was match with no deadbeats and every one knew
wagers would be honored.

I seriously don't remember final totals but know it was insignificant and less than $100. We had great time on aftermath discussing match and appreciating comraderie and competitive event we experienced .

Not only will I still wager I can break par, I will up it from $10,000 to $15,000. One update- instead of my Dad being my caddy I would like it to be my daughter, Augusta. Yes, I really named my first born Augusta. And some of you clowns still think I couldn't do this? LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

I sincerely hope everyone is doing great! You degenerates....

VN is one of the most challenging courses in the country, if not the world. Complete ball buster. When the KF Tour goes there, pros get seriously tested and some seriously embarrassed.
