Tough call against Greene.

There's one disqualification.....hopefully they aren't anymore.

Nice offensive put back by Onuaku.

Nova up 3 with the ball....this ought to be a fun finish.

Ok, ok, since nobody has said it, I'll throw out the obligatory "since everyone on the board was on Syracuse that's always a bad sign" quote. :mj07: Seriously though, I scoured 2 different forums, both tout picks and regular player picks, and it was probably 40-2, Syracuse over Nova backers. I don't think I've seen a single game all year so lopsided on one team.

Glenn,
I did see a few Nova players on this board, but it did seem like a minorty for sure.

I've been getting killed taking road dogs in the Big East since league play began. Teams like WVA, ND and Marquette have played final four ball at home, barely NIT quality ball on the road.

I think a lot of folks were jumping on that bandwagon more than anything else. Nova had lost on the road to Depaul and Cincy, so they seemed to be fitting that early season pattern.

Figures, though, when I take the short home favorite, they spend the whole game making turnovers, comitting fouls and giving up second chance points.

The Orange looked awful today.....not so sure Jimmy B can get this team over the hump and into the Dance. Big East is tough and his young team does not look like it has the moxie to beat the better teams.

Long season, but they've lost three of four and have not looked that good in the process.

Gotcha. I may have missed some Nova backers. And I was exaggerating a bit when I said 40-2. But I definitely saw a majority on Cuse. And for the record, I was on Cuse too. Didn't expect them to crap the bed like they did. They are now on my "do not bet on" list. :SIB

GL with the rest of your plays TP!

Tell me about it. I took the Cuse early. Once I saw everyone on the board I knew it would be a L. btw, I think you will see the same numbers of people going on TN. This is a perfect day for the dogs.

Isn't TN laying 11? Spreads that big always scare me, even if they are playing at home. A team can be up 14 or 15 at the end, throw in the scrubs and end up winning by 10. Never like laying DD personally...

Nova is the better team for sure. I knew that going in. I just thought the situation favored Cuse. Nice job though.

I actually previously had Syracuse on my "do not bet" list, but got suckered in because I alternately decided to begin playing the small home favs in Big East action since I had been getting crushed going the other way.

I won on Pitt Monday night and Louisville Thursday night, so was staying with my new strategy early today on the Orange.....perhaps I should now mesh both those new strategies and just forget about the Orange at home for awhile.

I got Iowa State and Purdue in action right now, neither off to a good start.

ISU had cut a 10-pt lead down to 2, but Okie St drained a deep trey at the buzzer to take a 5-pt lead into halftime....C'mon Cyclones, dont let oSU break that road losing streak.....hopefully the Hilton Magic comes out in the second half.

Vandy is destroying LSU.

VT-GT looks like it will down to the wire. GT has 9 second half turnovers. Va Tech just got a dunk to cut the lead to 2.

Illini have a pair of 6-0 runs have a nice early lead on the road at Purdue. Gotta think at some point, the Illini will go through a scoring drought and PU can take advantage. Down 8 right now, though.

I think the short home fave is always a good play in college hoops TP. Home dogs and short home faves are pretty much all I play. I just don't trust road teams laying points in college hoops.

Having said that, I'm also on Iowa St. and I'm seriously thinking of taking OSU in the 2h. I can get +3' right now, and I had ISU -2 for the game. There's a remote possibility I could lose both bets, but not very likely. Harris' foul trouble is huge for OSU, but if he can stay on the floor I think they will win outright. ISU has the look of a team that can fight back and get close, but not actually get over the hump and take the lead.

ISU looks flat, at least compared to their effort earlier in the week over Missou....OSU came out, established some insde play and controlled the game.

ISU had a great run their at the end of the half, but that trey was big at the buzzer.....opened the door for your second half strategy for sure.

I'm sticking with ISU.......I'll believe Okie St can close the deal when I see it.....they've lost 15 in a row on the road, 10 in a row on the road in the Big 12.

Good luck. I ended up taking OSU +3. I'm hoping whichever team wins does so by more than 2 points. If one of them wins by 1 then I lose both bets. :scared Kidding. I don't have much on either side so no biggie either way.

And I'm a bit of a goofball, I know, but I like the fact that OSU hasn't won a road game since the Nixon Administration. Have to believe they're hungry and can see the prize at the end of the finish line now. I guess I've always been a bit of a contrarian that way.

It took almost 12 minutes, but Ga Tech has blown all of their 16-point half time lead.....first tie since 8-8.

I was very surprised by how well they played in that 1h. I thought there might still be a bit of a hangover from losing that heartbreaker against UNC.

I stayed away from this game entirely because of a possible GT hangover like you said, but also Va Tech beat bigtime rival UVA on the road at the buzzer that very same night.

Jackets have re-established a 6-point lead, we'll see if they can close or if the Hokies can dig deep and find another run in them....its been a fun second half to watch.

Yeah, I was on UVA that night. Was thrilled that they blew a nine point lead with less than 5 to play in that one. :142smilie

Wasn't sure if that win over UVA would help or hurt Va. Tech today. Could have been a momentum boost, or they could have had a letdown after such a big win.

You can't stop this Causey guy, you can only hope to contain him!
