What was your biggest win of the week?
Last Saturday's 4-3 win for Oakland over the Angels. Athletics were +200 underdogs and scored the last four runs of game to eek out a huge win for us. Over 80 percent of side bets were on the Angels. We cleaned up on the runline and parlay bets in this game too.
What was your biggest loss of the week?
The last two matches at UFC 102 were no good for the shop. Both Thiago Silva and Antonio Nogueira were +150 underdogs and both emerged victorious. We were definitely on the losing end for those two matches.
What was the toughest line to set?
Virginia Tech at Alabama (-6.5). Not only because the game is being played at a neutral site (Georgia Dome in Atlanta), but because the Hokies will be without RB Darren Evans (torn ACL), who had over 1200 yards last year as a freshman. Most of the lines in Week 1 college football are very difficult to set. There is so much uncertainty at this time of the year, which makes setting lines very challenging.
