Ariel Helwani interviews Bob Arum at Manny Pacquiao-Miguel Cotto press conference.

Bob Arum blasts Floyd Mayweather, calls MMA "guys rolling around like homosexuals on the ground" and its fans "a bunch of skinhead white guys."

Way to promote this thing Bob.
Does he realize that most of the people that pay for boxing events like this also watch MMA.
So go ahead and insult fans who are or were gonna buy your fights.

I hate when people say boxing is dying and MMA is taking over. I think that is BS, but boxing does need a overhaul and maybe it comes in the way of better fights on free tv.
UFC is killing boxing PPV numbers and doing probably 14 events a year as compared to the 4 PPV boxing events per year with different promtion companies doing them.

They need some good exposure. Why not have a fight of this quality and sure to be action on ABC and sell advertisement.

It is a fact that more and more guys are training for MMA rather than boxing these days and maybe the future is not great right now for boxing but they can still do something about it.
ESPN Friday night fights is only a good thing for die hard boxing fans, they need some free exposure to quality fights to lure in the common fan.
It's no secret what TUF 1 did for MMA.

The problem with Boxing and MMa is that the stadium is pack for the mma event starting with the prelims. With Boxing it doesn't get packed till the main event because of that disgrace boxing calls "the undercard."

What do you think would happen if Dana said that racist shit:scared

That tells you all ya need to know about the state of boxing. I mean if Dana said that shit it would be all over the news, Arum says this and it is barely reported.

Best quote "UFC 100 didn't do 1.7 PPV buys, they were off by 700 thousand".......thanks Bob:142smilie

Can somebody in the Dana White Lovefest Camp(ie Kickserv), please explain to me what the UFC is doing?

They sign Cro Cop to a multi fight deal after he screwed them. Most people knew he was shot(pretty sure Dana did as well) and now after a weak showing they say that he is going to be let out of deal.

They sign an old and on the serious decline Frank Trigg and one fight later. HE IS DONE.

Baroni will fight in the UFC next and he will lose.
I think we see where I am going with this.

Now they bring in Paul Buentello.
While he has more fights left in him than the above do. We have seen the best of Paul and it is not that great.

These signings seem to be a waste of time. Only good thing is that as a gambler, we all know the outcome of these fighters fate before it happens.

It's actually brilliant if you ask me. It's WIN-WIN for the UFC...they sign popular fighters and if they win or put a string together, they make tons of money off of them. If they lose like they have been, they lose all their popularity and drawing power....on top of nobody wanting them LOL

That was quite a interview with Bob Arum.

I have to agree with him totally on Floyd M though.

There was no way I was going to waste 50 bucks on that last fight. Floyd makes a boring fight everytime. I dont think Manny will be able to get to him either.

I would like to put Floyd in with one of the Klitscko brothers. Just for laughs and giggles. I would pay to see that .
