I was gonna go to that and something came up.
Arena Theater has many cards for locals but they don't advertise at all. Sometimes I hear about them after the fact.
You asked me that before and I have had no fight or training experiences.
I live in the Kemah area.
I am playing in 1 basketball league and 2 indoor soccer leagues and my body can't take that much less training to fight. Unlike Herschel Walker, I know when I should not do something.

That's right I did ask you before, I have the memory of a gnat sometimes. There are a few Texas Competitor forums that list the various events going on in TX: Battle of H-Town 2009 is this weekend - BJJ Tourney / Atama Open in November and I think another MMA thing is going on @ the Arena in November.

Do you have any idea what happened to the XP3 organization here in Houston?
They had 1 card over at UofH and delayed the 2nd card but nothing ever came of it again.

Looks like Belfort and Silva are fighting Jan 2nd. This is an interesting fight because Anderson is having surgery. The one thing I love about Anderson is that he seems dead set on beating people at their own game. That means he's going to stand and bang with Belfort. The only thing I was to see for sure in this fight is Belfort getting his fist on Anderson. I think Anderson will win but I want to see what happens if Belfort can get loose for a few quick combos.


GW, I agree with you the UFC needs a few guys like the ones you've stated.

I have no doubts it'll be a great fight. Actually looking forward to it. But neither have a chance to beat GSP unless they KO/TKO him and neither have 1 punch KO power, IMO. They're both good strikers, but not power strikers.

LOL @ Hershel Walker on ESPN today...

These professional athletes who played Football(for the most part) think they're invincable and can do anything. Some of these athletes around the various sports don't respect MMA and think they know what it takes and beat anyone.

Hershel says he could beat any of the TUF10 HW's, easily, and I'd be shocked if he could beat any of the semi-finalist....he's 47 and I don't care what his background is, he hasn't gotten any history in fighting/wrestling professionally.

Here's to hoping that he doesn't get TKO'd, but completely KO'd in his first fight :mj06:

So Dana brings in Phil Baroni because he has a good following yet Baroni fight is on the prelim's.:shrug:

The 106 card just went to the crapper for me knowing in the back of my head that I missed Baroni take another loss.:142smilie

I am sure this will be a filler or an afterwards fight but watching Baroni lose live is twice as fun as delayed.
