Saint Peters Peacocks vs Niagara Purple Eagles
1* on Niagara -14 Niagara faces a St. Peter?s team that is just 1-12 on the road this season. This may be a big spread, but you will be counting your chips by halftime. Niagara already beat St. Peter?s by 20 points on the road back on January 25th. Niagara is 9-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last 10 home meetings with St. Peter?s. Niagara won their last home contest with St. Peter?s by 33 points with a final score of 88-55. Niagara is 13-4 ATS when playing with one or less days rest over the last 2 seasons. Little rest does not bother this team, they are actually more sharp when this is the case. Take Niagara and lay the points.

John Martin

La Salle Explorers vs Saint Josephs Hawks
1 Unit on La Salle +13.5 La Salle has been one of the best road teams in the nation against the spread. Despite a losing road record, La Salle is a perfect 8-0 ATS in road games this season which is all that matters in this business. La Salle will not be falling by double-digits tonight when they take on St. Josephs. La Salle has enjoyed 4 road wins in their last 5 attempts away from home with their only loss coming against Xavier. They nearly beat Florida State on the road earlier this year as well. One thing is for certain, La Salle isn?t phased by playing on the road. St. Joe?s is 2-11 ATS off a home win over the last 2 seasons. Cash in with La Salle as the underdog.

Dave Price

NCAAB

1 Unit on Manhattan +4

I like the Jaspers catching a couple field goals at home. Manhattan has looked very good in its past 2 games, beating Canisius and sticking it to a better Marist team. Manhattan has won 7 of the last 10 home meetings in this matchup. Siena heads out on the road after a disappointing home loss to Loyola-MD. Without any momentum heading into Manhattan to play the streaking Jaspers, I don't think Siena can get the job done. The Saints are just 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite and will fail in the favorite role again here. Take the points.

(509) Texas A&M vs. (510) Texas

Line: Texas -4

Rating: TWO-Star

Selection: (510) TEXAS LONGHORNS -4

Analysis:

Some series are dominated by the home team and this series happens to be one of them. The home team in this series has won the last eight straight meetings and has posted a 6-2 against the spread mark during this run. A&M held serve in College Station back on Jan. 30th as they trounced the Horns 80 to 63. A&M shot 56.3% from the field while Texas shot a horrible 34.4%. The story was the same from behind the arc as A&M shot 53.8% and Texas was only able to hit 30.8% from three point land. Since that loss the Longhorns have reeled off 5 straight wins both SU and ATS included in those five wins are Baylor twice, at Iowa State, at Oklahoma and of course their huge win over Kansas. A&M enters this contest off a home loss to Oklahoma State 59 to 54 as a 12.5 point home favorite on Saturday. A&M had their confidence shaken on Saturday and Austin is not the place to try and regain it. The Longhorns will be looking to avenge that double-digit loss in College Station and we know that the Horns are 5-1 ATS in that role. Texas is also a perfect 4-0 both SU and ATS playing with revenge versus Texas A&M their last four times to post. Finally we know that Coach Barnes is 26-14 ATS playing at home versus teams who are outscoring their opponents by 12+ points per game on the season. Hook?em HORNS

Big Al McMordie

Siena Saints v/s Manhattan Jaspers 2/18/2008 7:00:00 pm

At 7 pm, our complimentary selection is on the Manhattan Jaspers plus the points over Siena, as Manhattan falls into a 56-32 ATS system of mine. What we want to do is play on any home dog of less than 9 points, at Game 12 of the season or later, that is off a double-digit win as a home dog. The Jaspers check into tonight's game off back to back wins (following an eight-game losing streak). On Friday, Manhattan blew out Marist 83-62 to avenge a 76-66 loss to the Red Foxes on January 7, and on Feb. 10, Manhattan beat Canisius by double-digits, 97-87. Now, the Jaspers will go for their third straight win, and will be seeking revenge from a 13-point loss to the Saints on January 17. Manhattan has won seven of its last 10 home games vs. Siena, and it will pull the upset tonight. Take the points.

MATT RIVERS

Georgetown

It's tough backing the Hoyas after that dismal last effort at the Carrierdome but I do think they will rebound and being the far superior team here should be enough to cover this number.
I have no issues with Providence as they are what they are, an average Big East team who, at home, could be a little dangerous. These guys are similar to a Seton Hall or a Cincinnati as they are not anything better than okay but on their home court should be able to at least hang with anybody.
In the end though John Thompson III's team should be too strong and too focused after the egg they just layed against Syracuse. Roy Hibbert, DaJuan Summers, Jonathan Wallace, Jessie Sapp and others form one of the better teams in the nation and should be able to get back in fine form today.
Providence has five players averaging double figures and should not get killed here but in a similar vein to how they just came up short against Louisville on Saturday we should see that again here as Georgetown is too good and should prove this today in a win and cover.

Jimmy The Moose

Game: Detroit Red Wings at Colorado Avalanche Feb 18 2008 8:05PM
Prediction: Detroit Red Wings

Reason: The struggling Wings have lost 6 straight games but tonight the losing streak ends. Detroit is 11-4 in their last 15 road games. In their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning home record the Wings are 8-3. The Wings are 4-1 in their last 5 games played with 0 day rest. Colorado has dropped 5 of their last 6 home games. The Avalanche are 5-13 in their last 18 games vs. Western Conference opponents. Detroit has won 6 of their last 7 trips to Colorado. The Wings are 21-8 in the last 29 meetings between the clubs. Play on the Detroit Red Wings

Nelly

Louisville

Syracuse used a big first half to knock off Georgetown on Saturday but it will be very tough to take on a Louisville team that is rolling in a quick-turnaround. Syracuse needed to come up with the upset of Georgetown following a costly loss at South Florida and the Orange put together a great performance but matching that energy on the road will be difficult. Louisville endured a battle on Saturday in Providence but in the end the Cardinals prevailed, making for five consecutive S/U and ATS wins. Louisville is 12-2 on the season at home and Syracuse has not shown consistency on offense this season. Louisville is ready to deliver a lopsided win as Syracuse is simply not in the same class as the Cardinals this season.

Alex Smart

The Smart Money -College Hoops Comp Selection

Game: Portland U vs. San Francisco
Game Time: 2/18/2008 10:00:00 PM

Prediction: San Francisco

Both San Francisco(8-18) and Portland(6-19) are going through a lot of growing pains with a young team in rebuilding years. The records are similar as are some of their overall numbers , and when these squads met back on Jan 19th the visiting Dons pulled off a hard fought closely contested 60-59 win over the Pilots, as 4.5 point dogs. Home floor advantage did not help Portland in that spot, and here on the road, another loss , with a more pronounced deficit will be on the agenda. Final notes & Key Trends: Portland has failed to cover 11 of their L12 revenge situations losing SU, by an average of 13.4 PPG. Play on the San Francisco Dons to bring home the cash

Great Lakes

College Basketball Selection:

Texas A&M at Texas 9:00PM EST Play on:

Texas Longhorns

The Longhornes are heating up down the stretch going 5-0 ATS their last five games, and are 6-3 ATS after a conference game this year. The Longhornes are also 10-2 ATS revenging a road loss vs an opponent the last three years, and 5-2 ATS after scoring 80 points or more this year. We look for the Texas Loghornes to dismantle the Texas A&M Aggies for the home ATS Win & cover tonight.

James Patrick Sports

Xavier vs. Rhode Island 7:00 p.m. est.

Atlantic 10 action from the Thomas M. Ryan Center in Kingston features two of the best in this conference going head-to-head on Monday Night. Both teams return a lot of their difference makers and love the up tempo game so it?s a track meet here as look for #505 XU ? RISL OVER the TOTAL as our Monday comp selection.

Scott Rickenbach

Free Pick on Rhode Island Rams (+) vs Xavier @ 7 ET - The Rams are absolutely catching the Musketeers at the right time to spring the upset. Of course with the way this line dropped this morning it may not be considered much of an upset but many still don't see Rhode Island in nearly the same light they see the Musketeers. That general consensus opinion may change after tonight.

Texas A&M at Texas (9:00pm)

Texas is 19-10 ATS their last 29 conference games and they are 12-1 ATS after winning 15 or more of their last 20 games. The Longhorns are 10-2 ATS their last 12 games when playing with road loss revenge and they are 12-3 ATS off 2 straight conference wins. Texas A&M has won just once in their last 10 visits to Austin. The road team is 2-9-1
ATS the last 12 meetings. PLAY ON TEXAS

Allen Eastman

Take Santa Clara -11
over Loyola Marymount.

A real mismatch here. The Santa Clara Broncos finish their Southern California road trip with a game against the Loyola Marymount Lions at Gersten Pavilion. SCU will be looking for their second win of the season against LMU after beating them 58-35 at home earlier this season. Santa Clara put the clamps on Loyola Marymount's offense on Jan. 19 with an amazing defensive effort. SCU held the Lions to just 35 points in the game, the lowest the Broncos have allowed since an 86-35 win over Notre Dame de Namur on Dec. 20, 2005. The total is the lowest allowed against a conference opponent since a 40-33 Bronco win over Saint Mary's on Feb. 20, 1988

John Ryan

Xavier vs. Rhode Island

Play: Rhode Island -1

Ai Simulator 3* graded play on Rhode Island ? AiS shows a 71% probability that Rhode Island will win this game. Supporting this graded play is a system that has gone 50-24 ATS since 1997. Play on home teams where the line is +3 to -3 in a game involving 2 very good teams that are outscoring opponents by 8+ PPG and after allowing 85 points or more. We see that Rhode Island is coming off a 3 point loss to Temple where Temple scored 92 points. RI has really improved their rebounding skills and fundamentals noting that they have gotten 143 rebounds in their last 3 games for a 48 PG average. Strong rebounding will minimize Xavier?s second chance opportunities and will be a major factor in Rhode Island winning this game.

Ben Burns' #1 NHL Conference G.O.W. (60-34 L94)
Ben Burns had a winning day overall but lost with Buffalo yesterday, falling to 60-34 his L94 NHL plays. Today, this Documented Champion starts a new winning streak with his Conference Game of the Week. Go get it!

I'm playing on the LA KINGS. The Coyotes, who defeated the Kings at Phoenix on Friday, have a much better record for the season. However, the Kings have actually earned more victories over the past five or six weeks. In fact, LA has won 10 of its last 17 games, including four of the last five at home, while Phoenix has won only eight of its past 17. That includes a 1-4 mark the last five times that the Coyotes played on the road. Despite picking up a couple of wins lately, note that the Coyotes remain an ugly 8-17 their last 25 games played in the month of February and 42-72 (-42.4) over the past decade. In addition to playing with "revenge" from Friday's loss, the Kings should be highly motivated to earn their first victory in the season series. Indeed, if not for losing every game against Phoenix, the Kings might still have a shot at the playoffs. Although they have played as well over the past several weeks as they have at anytime in recent memory, the Kings are priced much more reasonably than they usually are when they've been a host in this series. They were laying -165 and -175 for this season's two earlier meetings here and they've been favored by a minimum of -120 in 19 of the past 20 series meetings here. Note that although they were beaten in both games here this season, the Kings still remain a healthy 12-4 with four ties the last 20 times they hosted the Coyotes. Look for an inspired effort from the revenge-minded Kings as they do some damage to their division rivals and improve to 38-32 the last 70 times they played a home game with an over/under line of six or greater. *Western Conference GOW:00hour :hitit: :iagree:

Xavier Musketeers at Rhode Island Rams
Monday, February 18th, 7:00 PM ET

Xavier is 9-1 in A-10 play with its one loss in Conference coming at Temple before the current seven-game win streak began. Before that the Musketeers won six in a row so that's 13-of-14 in the win column versus a team that's lost two-of-three. All were close with the Rams losing at Massachusetts 78-76, winning at home over Fordham 65-63 and losing at Temple 92-89. Xavier has played close games of late as well, escaping with wins at St. Louis (70-68), at home versus St. Joe's (76-72) and at Charlotte (62-60). It comes in with revenge in this one having lost 79-71 to Rhode Island in the semifinals of last season's conference tournament. The Musketeers have won 12 straight regular season meetings with the Rams, including the last five in Kingston.

FERRINGO

1.5-Unit Play. Take #521 Wofford (-3.5) over Furman (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18)
Wofford?s been on a little three-game skid but I think they snap out of their funk tonight against the worst team in the Southern Conference. The Terriers are a solid three-point shooting team and they?ve had a little time to regroup since their last loss to Georgia Southern. Furman is on a quick turnaround after a 35-point beating at Davidson. Confidence can?t be high on that bench right now, and if Wofford knocks down some early shots and builds a lead it could be another avalanche. The Terriers won the first meeting by 33. I?ll settle for a five-point win this time around.

2-Unit Play. Take #506 Rhode Island (+1.5) over Xavier (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18)
Man, I really hate to be the last one to the party here but we?re going with the Rams I really liked this game at +3 but we?ll still settle for +1.5 in a game that I think the Rams can win outright. Xavier has been shaky on the road and you know Rhode Island has been waiting for this one. Drew Lavander is questionable, but if he?s hobbled the Muskateers will be running without their engine. You can?t lose your point guard and truly expect to be fine in a game like this. Xavier is 2-8 ATS recently and 4-9 ATS on the road. I smell an upset.

3-Unit Play. Take #523 Siena (-3.5) over Manhattan (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18)
I can?t say I?m 100 percent sure why the number is diving on this one. Yes, Manhattan pounded Marist over the weekend. But they are still just 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 and 4-16-1 ATS on the season. Sienna pummeled them in the first meeting and has won four in a row in this series. Manhattan is 8-23-1 ATS at home and just isn?t a very good team. Sienna is coming off a tough OT loss, but they are 6-2 ATS on the road and they have dominated the lower half of the conference this season, beating anyone outside of the Top 4 in the conference by an average of 13.6 points per game. Maybe they?ll come out a little sluggish, but I think they finish strong and pick up a decent road W.

1-Unit Play. Take #528 Loyola-Maryland (-2) over Rider (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18)
Mark the Greyhounds down as another team that we went to early in the year, they didn?t do much for us, and then as soon as we turn our backs they become an ATM machine. Well, we?re going to give them another shot. They are smoking hot right now and riding the high of an OT win over Sienna over the weekend. Now they come home to face a limping Rider squad that?s dropped two straight. Loyola is 9-4 ATS in the series and 8-3 ATS in its last 11 home games. Gerald Brown went just 2-for-10 in the Sienna game, and I don?t expect him to have two poor shooting nights in a row. Especially when he?s averaged 27 per game in his last four home contests.

1-Unit Play. Take #504 Louisville (-10) over Syracuse (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18)
1-Unit Play. First Half: Take #504 Louisville (-5.5) over Syracuse (7 p.m., Monday, Feb. 18)
This is a letdown spot for the Orange and just a bad matchup overall. If SU sits in the zone and Louisville has even a decent shooting night they could win this one by 25. No joke. Syracuse just came off a court-storming win against Georgetown and now head on the road to face the hottest team in the country. SU is a great dog, but they got bombed at West Virginia and bombed at South Florida. The short bench is really going to hurt the Orange tonight as Louisville?s depth and interior presence gets the better of them.

That's it for today. Good luck.

STRIKE POINT SPORTS

3-Unit Play. #527 Take Rider +2 over Loyola MD (7 pm)

The Broncs handed Loyola a 14-point setback when they hosted the Greyhounds earlier this season, and they'll make it a season sweep to stay atop the MAAC alongside Siena. At 18-8, Rider is making a strong push for the Big Dance with a good shot at the league's top spot, as they have won eight of their last ten games overall. They are the stronger team and won't allow a slip up here to keep them from their spot in the conference standings. The Broncs take this one outright.

Pick on the NY Islanders

Georgetown vs. Providence (NCAAB) - 4:00 PM EST Premium Play
Pick: Point Spread: 6/-104 Providence Play Title:

Pick on Providence I like the home underdog in this spot this afternoon. Georgetown certainly hasn't been playing all that well recently and the Hoyas have lost two of their last three and have failed to cover their last five against the line. In Saturday's loss at Syracuse Georgetown looked like a very tired team team needed rest heading into today's matchup with Providence. The Friars have just faced Pitt and Lousiville so they know what the big boys are like. Play the home underdog here.

La Salle vs. St Joseph's (NCAAB) - 8:00 PM EST Premium Play
Pick: Point Spread: -13.5/-101 St Joseph's Play Title: Big Monday Big Blowout

PIck on ST JOES. The St Joes Hawks demolished the Explorers the last time these schools met, 72-50 last February to make it 8 straight series wins, and 6 straight series covers. We believe tonight it will be no different as LaSalle is bad on both ends of the court. St. Joe's should outclassed this team by at least 22 points and will get another big win in this cross city rival.
