4 Unit Play. #518 Take Tulane -6 over Indiana State (8:00 pm) The Green Wave are back in action on Monday night at the Fogelman Arena after taking a week off for exams. This team plays much better at home, as they are 4-1 on the season having beaten Auburn and Gardner- Webb. Both of those teams are better then what they will see from the Sycamores on Monday and thus expect a double-digit victory in the Bayou. Indiana State is still known as the school that Larry Bird went too. They are 4-4 on the season, but have yet to record a victory on the road in 2007. Tulane also has assistant Coach Dick Bender on the staff and he spent the previous 10 seasons as an ISU assistant, meaning one could not ask for a better scouting report. All four Sycamore road losses have come over tonight?s posted number and this will certainly be their fifth straight road loss

20 Dime-VIKINGS (Buy the ? point if your line is -10 ?)
Lay the points with the Vikings tonight when they host the Bears.
There?s no question the Vikings are rolling right now. Their one-two punch of Adrian Peterson and Chester Taylor gives them the best running back tandem in the NFL.
If there?s one thing the Vikings can do tonight, it will be to run the ball against a Chicago rushing defense that ranks No. 24 in the NFL.
Quarterback Tarvaris Jackson has stepped up his game and now gives the Vikings the confidence that they can also throw the ball when needed. Jackson has completed 44-of-61 passes for 496 yards and four touchdowns over his last three games. During that span he has thrown only one interception.
The Bears will have three new defensive tackles this week, which should ease the pass rush and hurt an already soft run defense.
Chicago will also have another change at quarterback, as Kyle Orton will get the start. Both Rex Grossman and Brian Griese were ineffective this year, so why not give Orton a shot?
My take on that is if Orton had any conceivable ability he would have started a lot earlier than Week 14.
The Bears are a putrid 1-10 ATS against an opponent off a SUATS win on Monday Night.
The Vikes counter with a 6-1 ATS mark on Monday?s off a win when going into revenge.
Lay the points as the Vikings grab the home win and cover.

10 Dime-SUNS
Take the Suns over the Spurs tonight in San Antonio.
This is the team?s first meeting since the Spurs eliminated the Suns in last year?s playoffs.
Phoenix may have won the series if the NBA hadn?t unfairly penalized them by suspending Amare Stoudamire in Game 5 for leaving the bench after Robert Horry?s cheap shot on Steve Nash.
Now the Suns get their opportunity at revenge against a Spurs team that could be without guard Tony Parker.
Phoenix is at full strength and has tremendous motivation, so take the Suns as they get it done in San Antonio.

5 Dime-CAVALIERS
Lay the points with the Cavs tonight when they host the Bucks.
Cleveland has revenge motive here after Milwaukee upset them 111-107 last month as a six-point dog.
The Bucks have yet to show any defensive intensity away from home this year. Plus, the Cavs have defeated the Bucks in seven of the past eight meetings.
Milwaukee lacks outstanding depth and this marks its third game in four days.
Lay the points as the Cavs win and cover at home

Thats the same write ups for Cannon??

Milwaukee Bucks @ Cleveland Cavaliers o193.5 (-110)
Mon Dec 17 '07 @ 7:05p

The Cleveland Cavaliers have gone Over in four of their last five games, and we look for that streak to continue vs. the defenseless Milwaukee Bucks tonight.
The Cavaliers are coming off of an embarrassing home loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, so they can be expected to come out in an ornery mood tonight, especially since they don?t want to disappoint their home fans again. Cleveland put up 118 and 97 points in the first two game respectively after LeBron James returned to the lineup before inexplicably slipping to 86 points vs. the Sixers. We look for them to return to the century mark tonight vs. a Milwaukee defense that is allowing 99.7 points per game overall and an unacceptable 102.7 points per game on the road.
The Bucks are averaging 95.2 points per contest, which is actually down from recent years, but 95 points tonight should be enough to push this game Over at this posted total. The Bucks won the first head-to-head meetings this season 111-107 right here in this building, and while there may not be quite that much scoring tonight, we do expect this game to play over 200.
Now granted, the Under is 11-4 in the last 15 head-to-head meetings overall, but the tide appears to be turning with the last two matchups going easily Over, so look for a similar result here.

Bucks, Cavaliers Over 193.5

The Gonzaga Bulldogs have scored at least 70 points in eight of their 10 games this season, and they scored at least 80 points in four of those games, so look for a safe Over when they take on the Northern Colorado Bears tonight.
Now granted, the Under is 6-4 in all Gonzaga games this season, but five of those Unders had posted totals higher than this one, with four of them having posted totals over 140. The Zags have had eight days off since putting up 85 points on CS Northridge, and they are averaging 74.7 points per game. While Northern Colorado will try their best to slow the pace of this game down, we expect a much better Gonzaga team to control the tempo again in front of their home fans.
Now Northern Colorado is averaging 66.6 points per game, and anything close to that here should be good enough to ensure an Over, given that we expect at least 75 points out of the Bulldogs. While the Bears do prefer more of a half court game, they lack the quickness defensively to slow down Gonzaga should the Zags choose to run, which seems like a safe bet.
All things considered, this seems like a rather modest total under the circumstances, as we project a final point output in the mid-140s.

Northern Colorado, Gonzaga Over 134.5

New Orleans @ Portland
Very quietly, the Portland Trail Blazers have reeled off seven consecutive victories, including four straight at home. Six of those wins came with Portland as underdogs ? the Blazers aren?t just beating up on weaklings these days. And, with a 9-3 SU mark at in the Rose Garden this year, it?s not hard to make a case for the surging Blazers to notch another victory this evening. Amazingly, the Blazers have enjoyed this success despite playing without #1 overall draft pick Greg Oden and their other top low post threat LaMarcus Aldridge, who has missed the last four games with a foot injury. Aldridge will return to action tonight, giving the Blazers some much needed interior size against Tyson Chandler and company. Last year?s Rookie of the Year, Brandon Roy, has been on a tear of late, as has another youngster, Travis Outlaw, coming off the bench. Channing Frye has stepped up in Aldridge?s absence. Jarrett Jack and Martell Webster carried the Blazers to victory over New Orleans when these two teams met here back in November. There?s depth in Portland this year, and defensive intensity, two qualities that they?ve lacked in recent seasons. The Hornets got off to a 9-2 start this year, beating up on weaker competition. But New Orleans is a sub .500 club since that hot start. Don?t count on Byron Scott?s squad to be able to notch a road victory here.
Take the Blazers

Complimentary Picks and Analysis
--------------------------------------------------------
Game: Minnesota at Miami (7:35 PM Eastern)
Pick: Minnesota +9 (-110)

Minnesota comes here with a 3-19 record, which provides an opportunity for
finding line value. Most look at this team and get ill thinking of backing them,
which is where the line value comes from. This team often gets huge spreads from
which to work because the books can't get action on them. The fact is they have
been money in this range, as they have cashed 9 of 13 when getting 8.5+ points.
Last year's team finished 7-26 SU, yet on only five occasions were they a dog of
8.5 or more points. Last year with that 7-26 finish they were beaten by double
digits in 57.6% of the losses. This year it's just 36.8%. See the line value?
Last year just five games with a line of 8.5+ in those 33, this year already 13 in 22 games. Miami is not what they once were. In fact they have only
managed one win by this many points all season, and are just 2-9 at home. They
have lost two straight, so they are far from a hot team. We will ride this
overlay and back the T-Wolves to hang tough.

Rocketman

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

4* Eastern Illinois Panthers +11

Eastern Kentucky is scoring only 59.3 points per game overall this year. Eastern Kentucky is 2-10 ATS after a SU loss when the line is 10 to 13 1/2. Eastern Kentucky is 1-8 ATS after an ATS loss when the line is 10 to 13 1/2. What I expect here is a low scoring close game which will be to our advantage getting double digit points. Neither team will get above the 50's in scoring. We'll play Eastern Illinois for 4 units tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky

5 Dime -

Vikings - (If your man has 10-1/2, you are to buy 1/2 point down to 10 points. NEVER GET BEAT THE BY THE HOOK WITH A NUMBER LIKE THIS. If your book has the game at -11, it is STILL A PLAY)

I admit it, I was planning on giving up on the Vikings this year, after that spanking Green Bay put on em a little more than one month ago. They had just taken a beating ? one of the worst in team history ? and I wasn't about to give them a speck of respect. Who would, being they were 3-6 at that point? The answer is THEMSELVES! Since then they've topped the next four opponents by a combined score of 139-56. On the other side of it, we have the defending NFC champion Bears, who have lost two straight by scoring just 16 in consecutive weeks, and who has failed to score more than 19 points in five of their last seven games. Chicago is all but done in terms of getting back to the postseason; and with Minnesota's offense clicking right now, we're going to play the Vikings at home to inch closer to the playoffs with a big win tonight.

5 Dime ?

Warriors

Roll into Graceland with the road team in this clash, as Golden State has won the last three meetings thanks to a bolstered offense against this team. The Warriors have scored no less than 116 points the last four times these two have met, averaging 122.7 points. Despite winning impressively at Orlando, let's not forget that Memphis is 1-6 in its last seven, and will likely be without second-leading scorer Pau Gasol, who has missed the last two outings with a foot injury. Lay the road chalk with Golden State in this one, as it rolls to an easy win and cover over the Grizz
