THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: BOWLING GREEN vs TULSA
Play: GMAC BOWL WINNER IS TULSA -5
Comments: THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: GMAC BOWL WINNER IS TULSA -5^^^ The Tulsa Golden Hurricane are led by Conference-USA offensive player of the year Paul Smith, who threw for 4,753 yards and 42 touchdowns. Tulsa is playing with motivation in this game as they are attempting to win 10 games for season which could tie a school record. Defenses aren't so hot for both teams but Tulsa is an efficient offense and considering BG's defense is allowing an average of 422 yards a game, this is going to spell trouble as Tulsa's offense averages 542.5 yards per game. Tulsa quarterback Paul Smith completed 4,753 passing yards and 42 touchdowns this season and was second in the nation in passing stats. Look for an offensive showcase by Tulsa today.
THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: NY GIANTS vs TAMPA BAY BUCS
Play: TAMPA BAY BUCS -2.5
Comments: THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: TAMPA BAY BUCS -2.5^^^ The question of the day is do you feel that the Giants over extended themselves in their game with New England last week in what was a meaningless game for them other than ego and pride and a shot at knocking the Patriots off the top of the hill on their road to a undefeated season? We will say yes as they kept their starters in there and yes, they fought a good fight but if they had won, it wouldn't mean a thing today and in the end, the results were as expected. It says much about who they are and the coaching. That ego and pride will be their demise today. Thanks to their efforts to win a meaningless game, the Giants reward themselves by losing Madison for this game. Now the Bucs have never been known to be an offensive power house, but that injury now opens the door for Joey Galloway to have a field day. Ego and pride are going to tell the Giants they can wear down the Bucs defense by running it right at them with Jacobs. He will get yards, but TB should send Coughlin a thank you package for playing right into their game plan. Eventually after struggling for first downs due to low % yardage gained in the running game, it'll be as simple as the Bucs rushing four in the box and dropping seven back. Collapsing the Giants line will be a task but Manning will be facing a skilled zone defense and unless he shows the patience that he had in the Patriots game he will be getting picked off and we feel Eli will fall back into old habits quickly. The passing game relies on Plaxico Burres making plays and with him not at 100% and suspiciously the soft spoken Rhonde Barber talking smack about Plaxico tells us the Bucs are fired up for this game and know something we all don't. What we do know is while Coughlin used his players up, Tampa has been sand bagging and getting prepared for this game for the last two weeks. Once TB knew they had the Giants to play, they zoned it in last week and were throwing out plays that were not their usual play as a message to the Giants, they were ready for them and they were going to give them extra to prepare for. Forget the results of last week as the Bucs were laying back and it was all show for the Giants. The line is below the key number of 3 which gives us no fear to take the fave. we have the home team who has had more than ample time to prepare. We feel like the Bucs defense will shine today and look for Joey Galloway to rack up some big numbers in receptions in a Buccaneer win and cover.
THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: TENNESSEE vs SAN DIEGO
Play: TENNESSEE +11
Comments: THE LAS VEGAS TECH REPORT (LVTR) SELECTION: TENNESSEE +11 ^^^ We actually like San Diego to win this SU but they have become a very public play and with a line move to 11, it tells us that the public is over reacting to the Vince Young injury. Lets not forget that this line opened at 7. Is it a sucker bet? Are we getting baited? Well, at +11 we'll take just about any dog out there in the NFL as a key number of 10 is a hard number to cover as we have found out through the season. Let us also not forget that last time these two teams met Tennessee led SDG 17-3 in the 4th quarter. What makes anyone think SDG is deserving of 11 points in this next match up. All the hype concerning Vince Young could be doing it, but as we saw, Collins came off the bench and played well and he showed he has a feel for the system. The offense becomes wide open with Collins in there and gives San Diego a monkey wrench into the game plan as they would have to face someone they haven't prepared for and a different style of offense if Collins starts. Titans did have three games consecutive in mid November where they lost by more than 11 but they obviously turned it around and they haven't lost by a +11 margin against anyone else including San Diego. LenDale White gave SDG fits last game out. As long as the Titans protect the ball and enforce their strength with their 5th rated defense, they should be able to easily stay within the numbers. Last note worth mentioning is if the Chargers are leading at the end of this game, they have to turn around and get prepared for another week of play. If they slow it down or start resting players, a back door cover becomes a big factor so no matter the situation we are on a +11 dog who will either be winning this game at the end of the 4th or losing and that result will be a 100% effort for the full 60 minutes of play.
