Good job Ian. Think i'll have to get a good country song up to stump you. Then again, most country lyrics are "I lost my job at the factory, my baby left me and my loyal dog died." lol...

All right, I'll throw out a relatively easy one from the mid 80s. I think I have to exclude Anders from this - no KIWIS allowed!!!

"If they should ask, well maybe they'd
Tell me what I should say
True colors fly in blue and black
Bruised silken sky and burning flag
Colors crash, collide in blood shot eyes

If I could, you know I would
If I could, I would
Let it go"

Here's a couple more...

"My Maserati does 185, I lost my licence now I don't drive..."

and..

"I been warped by the rain, driven by the snow
I'm drunk and dirty don't ya know
And I'm still, oh I'm still
Out on the road late at nite
I seen my pretty Alice in every head lite
Alice, Dallas Alice..."

Two damn fine songs

OK Anders -just to clear that one up -
Little Feet "willing"
and the Canadian one I quoted ages ago was Cowboy Junkies - "cheap is how I feel" - a very good band who I had the pleasure of meeting once in the UK

See you folks are still going. I should go look some good stuff up from the fifties to see if you can guess-em. I walked around singing-em way back then. But I would never remember. You guys are doing darn good.

Las Vegas
just found this thread (been working a ton lately to finance my trip to Vegas and Denver next week)...

I'm an 80's Metal Head, but I listened to it all at one time or another...It used to be Motley Crue and Madonna as my favorite 2 artist back then so that should tell you a little about the diversity of my listening habits...

Snake---Limp Bizkit "nookie"

JT...I knew the Segar tune as its on his greatest hits CD...

Keep em comin boys...I won't post any lyrics as I'm sure there are a limited amount of people who would know the lyrics of Old Motley, Warrant, Steelheart, Dangerous Toys, Faster Pussycat, Bullet Boys, Firehouse etc...those were the days....AHHHHH

whole first rung.."
