nuff said. I can't believe how many people are willing to buy into a guy after 7 games. The NFL always figures out how to beat a running, weak armed qb.

Dude threw for over 400 last week. He will be fine. Seattle at home is TOUGH. He did look timid though. They should have been running with Kaepernick to loosen Seattle up.

I think what will be interesting is how high will Vegas set the line when they play at Candlestick in December? You know the thinking will be that the Niner's will run up the score, if they can.....

Good point, Should be a good spot to bet the Niners. Seattle blows chunks on the road usually.

i was wondering how rodgers woulda done there last night

from a fantasy standpoint i gotta think he at least throw 2 maybe 3 tds and maybe engineers into fg range once or twice in a losing effort --with sea being able to do what they want to on offense -- muuccchh moreso than they did last night

what did colin have to throw to...

boldin? who is still trying to block sherman on passing plays right now

and vernon? whom i think shoulda force fed ball to more

all other guys are horrible matchups for good corner, physical team like sea (read: not tough route runners)

not that rusell wilson had much more to throw to either, but at least there was a semblence of a run game for him

i kind of think sf shoulda ran more kap - but dont mind they held him back (hopefully that doesnt stay the case), because of all teams that coulda laid him out with big hit, seems like any player on sea mighta been able to (which is something cant say for most other squads)

if he doesnt place ball badly, and have rec fight more for him (albeit in a split second) on 1st int at gl line - (you) woulda been thinking diff - i think

that coming from someone who only needed an an qb from -stats wise for fantasy to win

his arm strength a non-issue, even though underthrew davis sideline for int (good play by sherman, as much as it paind me to admit)

--vernon nursing a hammy rest of year could spell issues for sf until manningham and crabtree come back

Where it is real F ing COLD
I would take him over Ponder and ....... Cutler.

The bad thing about Joy is that she has talent but does her best to blow the game. Vikes had no business being in that game and she almost gave it away

Yes a weak arm, just because you can throw the ball far doesn't mean you have a strong passing arm. Take a look at the wonderful throws he makes on any deep outs you can possibly find. There aren't many, trust me.

I think the guy is overrated and you guys don't. Good for you.

I would rather have Cutler in a heartbeat. Cutler can audible, throw the deep ball with accuracy. Yes he had two picks yesterday, one a tipped ball and the other on a fantastic defensive play on a deep ball. I suppose you would rather have Kap than Eli after his four picks too? The thread has nothing to do with any other qb but Colin. If I want to run the ball, I have a halfback to do that. Kaepernick isn't even as good as Pryor. Kap has no touch on his passes and cannot for the life of himself, read a defense. Which is exactly why his coach doesn't allow him to audible. He sucks. Period.

Hope this helps,

I didn't bring Cutler up, someone else did. It's all right there in writing. Have someone read it to you if you need to.

Also, Cutler is 2-0 and in sole possession of first place in his division. Neither Eli or Krapernick can say that.

There is a difference in a strong arm and an accurate arm. He has a very strong arm. He threw in the mid 90's when he pitched at Nevada and hit 87 when he threw out the first pitch at a SF Giants game earlier this year. I agree with you that he isn't very accurate on deep outs.

i was a little surprised how close to the vest seattle`s offense played it last night....don`t remember them being quite this conservative last year...

i mean,it worked...but,they were a verrry conservative offense(the stats against carolina were more impressive, but they only hung 12 on the panthers)...their defense is going to have to play lights out every week if they`re going to hang with denver, the packers and frisco( when all it`s weapons are healthy)...particularly on the road...

don`t get me wrong,i love wilson...i just think they could give him a little more slack to play his game...

Let's revisit Cutler and Kaep in December. See who's winning and putting up numbers then. My money sure isn't on gutless Jay.:0074

I felt they played that way because they knew the 49ers were not going to do shit on O. After Wilson started out so badly and they saw Kap was a liability for the 9ers, I think they decided not to push anything, let the bad 9ers O v Seattle D be on the field as long as possible.

Yep...

Yep...

nuff said. I can't believe how many people are willing to buy into a guy after 7 games. The NFL always figures out how to beat a running, weak armed qb.

...almost as silly as buying into the notion that he's a bad QB based on one game -- against a great D -- which plays incredibly at home -- where they set a decibel record for noise (which tends to disrupt offensive play-calling including audibles). :mj07:

I'm not sure many QBs -- short of Peyton, maybe Rodgers -- would have done much better last night. Not to mention, SF currently has no real speed threat either in the backfield or wide. Boldin is great, but possession only and Gore is adequate but certainly not explosive anymore. Until they develop another WR, or involve Hunter more, or wait for Manningham/Crabtree... I think 49ers are not as potent on offense. That said, they're still pretty good and certainly good enuf to win 10.

Anyway, back to your assertion: :0002
