I will say Kap doesn't make the players around him better, he needs to have elite players to make him better

Im not arguing against your theory

But lots of qbs would be worse then 7-7 with the injuries/bums on the niners this year playing in that division/schedule

Only a handful would be better IMO.

it's straight athletic ability and having a system designed specifically for him.

Peyton manning is a system qb

Basically all the greats are

They all adjust their offense to fit their abilities

Doesnt mean they are not good

That is why peyton would only sign with certain teams.....he needed a coach/staff willing to adapt to his philosophy. ...to his "system"

Peyton Manning is no system quarterback. He does not need to run a certain offense to be successful such as the read option. The read option is an entire offense. The entire scheme is different than a normal offense. Peyton Manning ' s system is one that is a three or four read system whereas the read option is a single read. Where is the mike linebacker and what's he going to do, that's it. As far as qbs that could be 7-7 with that talented team even with the injuries, I would hazard to say all of them would, including every back up. As a matter of fact I think they'd be better with just about any qb.

Here's the deal, every single game he plays in that I watch, he's consistently missed a few wide open throws to the corner routes. If the receiver is coming across the middle, he can make the throw, anything else he just tries to get it close. He's far more detrimental than he is positive.
It's cool that you don't agree yet, hell I'm still a Cutler fan even though he just isn't getting it done either. It's hard to let go when you want a player to succeed and they just continue to falter when success seemed imminent. I have to deal with the fact Cutler can't audible well and may not be the great qb I thought he could be. Kap is as horrible as I always thought him to be, but he seems like a good guy

Every QB is a system QB to some extent. Joe Montana's career was pretty much made by Bill Walsh's West Coast offense. Peyton couldn't run a spread option (not that anyone does much in the NFL except as an occasional diversion). But he is a great passer and has an excellent mental grasp of the game. Offensive philosophies should be tailored to the strengths of the players. Peyton has been in offenses which play to his strengths. It doesn't mean he's not a great player though. It just means his talents have been maximized by the coaches and schemes. (Saw this on a site )

So kap runs a read option?

Other guys run west coast.

Ever single qb runs a offfense that fits their abilities....

Either way gl moving forward to kap cutler and all

Ok last post here...think fdc seems like cool dude....

Just want to be clear I dont personally feel either way towards kap.....some mentioned i must be a fan.....not at all....I just think hes done well and its not because of good luck...

I guess my thinking is if you have a guy and you find a way ro utilize him and his skills, and that utilization then allows your franchise to succeed the way the niners have w/kap under center, then he is just as good a QB as anyone....

Let me say again, this has nothing to do with kap specifically...if the NFL had 31 teams that ran read option and used mobile QBS....then the last remaining team had a QB that was peyton manning....and he ran a totally backwards offense to what we are biased towards....hypothetically the offense he runs now.....if he had the success kap did in his 1st 3 years and someone said he sucked because he had only "1 offense to be succesful under" ...then i would feel the same....being a good QB is doing whatever the staff asks and winning games....Kap does that.....and statistically has good numbers compared to all QBS in their first 3 years as starters...

All done later fellas

I would love to see The Niners hire Chris Ault, Kaps college coach and creator of the pistol. He would know exactly how to utilize Kap. I know it wouldn't prolong his career and there's never been an offense in pro football that runs the qb w any regularity, but Kap is such a specimen physically he would burn very brightly running that offense even if for a shorter period of time. I watched every Nevada game I could while he played, starting w his first. 59 rushing tds, 80 something passing, it was something to behold. W Ault as his coach I'd make a bet regarding his chances to win a Super Bowl , but too many other factors , management of the team, potential injuries would give me pause about doing so now.

I've been saying this for over a year. Kaepernick is fools gold.
Not for nothing but the thread was started two years ago. He's gone from bad to horrible in that time. He'll be out of the NFL before long.

I will say that not all of it is his fault this year. I mean, he sucks yes, but he couldn't throw a good deep ball to Crabtree. I have no idea weekday made management think that he could throw it to a faster Torrey Smith?

He is certainly a gifted athlete but so is Tim Tebow and he can't play quarterback either.
