Re: Billy Walters Loses Millions On Chargers Game
im sorry but all my years of wagering that had to be one of the easiest plays of the year. Makes me wonder about the guy u all praise. And i had the money line. Id like to tell you all how easy the play was but then i will lose one of my tricks. Lets just say in that spot on that day that play is always money. If i had to play one game a year it would be that fourth game in the second round of the playoffs.

Thank you for embracing us with a small piece of your infinite wisdom..

Well according to your previous posts, you must think the Vikes are not going to cover this week because Favre is on the take during every nationaly televised game.:mj07:

He will lay down this week and he will keep that game under. Same shit he did for Eli and Mcnab to get them to the superbowl. He does it for Brees this time. the guy can score anytime he wants because he is that good. Not sure how much body of work the guy has to have to get u knuckleheads to reach the age of reason. That interception he threw against the Giants late was comical. Hhe even tried it a few plays earlier but the Giants dropped it. :mj07: I will come back to this thread if my opinion changes but definitely the under won't.

What is really funny is that Farve actually had some of u guys believing he couldn't play in a dome :mj07: :mj07: Remember those days? Some guys will believe anything it is said u enuf. What happen to that excuse :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: :mj07: He couldn't play in a dome. Must have been the lighting effecting his passes. It couldn't have been all the one sided money bet on his team :142smilie . We have corrupt politicians, cops, judges, ceo's, lawyers but god forbid if anyone says an athlete or a ref is on the take. I thought the Donaghy fiasco woke a few up but i guess not.

Yeah, one proven case of games being fixed in my lifetime really bolsters your case, don't it. ... :142smilie

Judge there were 4 proven cases in the mid 90's ,1 mid 80's all were tipped of by vegas books, but it was after the fact and lot of players went to jail and prison over them.

Don't even waste ur breath Fletcher. These are these guys hero's. No way any shady stuff can go on. We just went to war to pad a bunch of crooks pocket books having 5000 of our kids get killed for these crooks, but a ref or an athlete in no way would ever rig a game.

Watch Brett closely this weekend. watch the bad sacks he takes to keep that game under. Watch the 3rd and eight three yard passes. It will happen Judge and then u can tell me how i just got lucky predicting that.

1. Some of the stories about these incredible bets Walters makes are just that - stories

2. Why would Favre or any other top notch athlete with multi million dollar contracts throw a game?

Are outcomes of games ever decided by someone or some people with bad intentions? Of course. And that must include referees, managers and coaches. Is it likely to take place on one of the biggest stages watched by millions? No.

You can add NYCC (I think that was the one) to the list. But these were not teams that garnered national or world wide attention when playing.

.

Why do a lot of them gamble if they have all this money and all these million dollar contracts?

Maybe they do it for the leagues like Donaghy said Stern instructred his refs to do. These leagues and certain marquee players go hand and hand with the books. Nice easy racket they got going under the guise of the public bettor being allegedly stupid. Sure the public is stupid if the other side is cheating. Just my humble opinion.

My God, I can remember arguing with Thor back when I had my forum. Why was his name put up there to start this thread? Surely Sponge, you aren't Thor, are you? I remember having an ongoing argument about Michael Vick and Donovan McNabb, and who would turn out to be the better quarterback in the long run... the man was incessant about Michael Vick - and about all sports being fixed. It was maddening.

At the risk of almost caring - why do you say Favre is on the take, fixing all these games? Do you have the specific games that he has fixed? Has he fixed all of the important games he's played in, including the ones he won? He's THAT good, by himself, to make sure every game turns out just right - wins, losses, covers, non-covers? He's got another $12 million in his pocket this season for playing again - so what's his motivation this weekend to throw the game? He came back and took 18 weeks of punishment from crazy, massive freaks to set up a one game "help out Brees" scenario?

The thing is, if the Vikes should lose, which they certainly might, you can say whatever you want - and blame him. What if they do win? What if they cover and it goes over. I would assume this game would go under personally, but what if you're assessment is wrong?

And why Brett Favre? Of all the people in the league, he seems about the least likely to be a part of something like that.
