GW...what the fuck are you talking about.........you bashed Zuffa for buying SF.

i don`t want to see them combined.....a large monopoly is bad for mma in general in the long run,imo........

but strikeforce has some big names...some serious action fighters...it was a wise move by the ufc to absorb them...

would you rather see lay n pray or guys going balls to the wall?.....

dana keeps pushing the fighters to finish....well he`s getting that with strikeforce....in spades..

Rather ironic that the only one that didn't finish was Mousasi.

Mousasi has been exposed big time....he was "the man" a year ago.

I was just playing with ya DeFactoCrippler...and speaking of wrestlers....if Mousasi faces a decent wrestler....he loses.

Exposed big time.

i re-watched the fight this morning...and i`m not commenting on the judging..i can see where everyone`s coming from(mousasi did the damage).....but mousasi fights lazy....for a guy who`s obviously enormously talented,he fights like he suffers from blunt affect syndrome...i can`t remember seeing a guy as detached as mousasi while in a cage with another guy trying to take his head off...

he had little intensity vs lawal.....just layed there....and still has little to no ability to stop takedowns...

the fact that he didn`t blow jardine(who fought on short notice and was obviously cardio impaired because of that) out of the water is a real embarassment,imo.....

something`s wrong with that guy...he gets by because he`s got mad skills...but man,the guy needs to up his intensity level....

even after the fight...no outrage...he didn`t seem disappointed...it was like he was drugged...
his nickname should be "ambien"....

not many that are more well rounded than mousasi(with the exception of takedown defense)...but that shit`s not gonna fly vs top level ufc 205`ers....if jardine took him down at will,in the ufc he`ll be on his back more than kim kardashian...

he has a terminal case of "lack of cage awareness"...by that i mean he doesn`t seem to sense how a fight is progressing...like vs lawal.....

either that or he just doesn`t give a shit...

guy`s weird...

Ghost, I don't think Mousasi got robbed. I don't think the judges gave round 2 to Jardine. IMO he won round 1 because Mousasi didn't do much and Jardine took him down at least twice. That along with the point deduction and I'm guessing that was a 10-8 round. Give Mousasi the other 2 and it's a draw. Mousasi is not good for 3 round fights. He doesn't have the sense of urgency needed to win a high % of fights in just three rounds. I did think he had a higher sense of urgency once he was taken down though. Against Lawal he relied on the fact that he had the opportunity to sub Lawal but it never happened. Against Jardine he was trying to get up pretty quickly.

If Diaz could stuff td attempts by the top guys then there's no doubt he would give GSP a run for his money but I don't think he could. Kos, GSP, and the likes would take him down and man hump him for 3 or 5 rounds and get the win. I hate it but it's how it is these days.

I go back in forth with Zuffa buying SF. I think it's good that all the fighters might be able to face each other but I also see the bad. The UFC has totally turned into just win at all cost and it's made for boring fights(IMO). SF has a little Pride in it, they want exciting fights and typically match fighters up that will bang with each other. I don't know if doing it that way is any better but I sure do like it after seeing a lot of man humping in the UFC. I'm not sure if any of you saw what Diaz had to say but he thinks that elbows on the ground help contribute to the boring fights. He said that wrestlers can get guys down, throw a couple of short elbows just so that the ref won't stand them up because they're doing work and then win the fight in boring fashion. Those shorts elbows are safe against sub attempts as well. I've always liked elbows on the ground but now I think I might agree with him. I also think they need to change the scoring or they're going to lose the chance at really growing the sport. A td shouldn't be scored that high if there's no damage done once the guy is down. What difference is one TD compared to one jab. I would rather be taken down 10 times in 1 fight and then get right back up over someone hitting me with 10 stiff jabs.

I see a draw also in the Jardine fight and if anything i would give it to Jardine cause round two was close. Obviously round one was a ten eight. He took him down four times and landed some nice leg shots. Im just going by how ridiculous this sport gets with take-downs so that is why i give it to Jardine. How can anyone not score that first round a ten-eight  Is it possible u guys got influenced by that nitwit announcer Maurio? He was all over Mousasi like he had a million dollars on him. This was no way a robbery.

i agree with this 100 percent. If the UFC can learn anything from Strikeforce it is match making. Joe Silva may be the most overrated person in all of MMA.
