STU FINER

250,000 STAR LOCK OF THE YEAR

250,000 DIME NBA Finals Game 2

Parlay L.A. LAKERS and OVER

The Lakers will not be held to just 15 fourth quarter points like they were in Game 1. Instead, Kobe & Co., will have their triangle offense clicking and they will score this win and cover as it goes over the posted total. Kobe?s 9 for 26 shooting on Thursday night had less to do with the Celtics tough defense and more to do with Kobe having one of those rare off nights. He was getting good looks, the ball just wasn?t going through the hoop for him. That will change this evening. The Lakers will be scoring in bunches tonight and the Celtics will be hard-pressed to keep track. And L.A.?s bench will respond with a much better effort after Sasha Vujacic, Jordan Farmar, Ronny Turiaf and Luke Walton combined for just 15 points on 5-of-15 shooting. Those guys are going to show tonight. L.A. also attempts around 21 three-pointers a game but got off only 14 treys Thursday. They?ll shoot more and make more tonight. L.A. didn?t play well in Game 1, but
still led at the break by five points and had their chances in the fourth. They won?t be as jittery tonight. There are plenty of trends that point to the under, but that?s just giving us good value with the total. The Lakers own four road victories this postseason, so they know how to win on the highway. They don?t want to go down 2-0 in the series and they won?t. Kobe will play like the league MVP that he is and the Lakers will eclipse 100 points in helping this game get over the posted number

15* La/Boston Under 191

Comments: The Lakers have gone under the total in their last 6 games overall with an average total score of 182.5 per game. The Lakers have gone under the totals in 8 of 10 non-conference away games this season when the total is 205.0 or less. The Celtics have gone under the total in 20 of 28 games this season as a home favorite when the total is 188.5 or more. In that same scenario if Boston is coming off of a game in which they scored 95 points or more have gone under is 17 of those 22 games.
Any NBA Finals home favorite with a win percentage of .750 or better, with a total of 193.0 or less, and is coming off of a game in which they allowed 93 points or less has gone under the total in all 14 games since 1990. The average total score in these 14 games was 170.9 points per game. Play on under the total as a 15* Top Play selection

20,000 Dime - Boston Celtics +1 over LA Lakers

How about Paul Pierce in game one? 7-of-10 from the field, 3-of-4 from beyond the arc and 22 points overall. How about Kevin Garnett? 24 points, 13 boards and three assists. Both of these guys will need to improved on those numbers tonight, because the Lakers will play a much better game tonight. Not just Kobe, but the whole team. I just think Pierce and Garnett will find a way to get their team halfway home in this best of seven. Remember, Boston has been almost unbeatable at home, regular season or playoffs. They are getting a point tonight, so it's basically a pick'em game. Still, they are 6-0 ATS in their last six games as a home underdog of 0.5-4.5 and are 21-9 ATS in their last 30 games as an underdog. They win again tonight, but not by double digits. A nice six to eight point win will do the trick.

5000 Unit NBA Finals Lock #2 in a Row

Under 190.5 Points La/Boston

What we saw in Game 1 is, even if a game is on pace to go over the total for a good portion of the game, it's damn hard to get it there. Every possession is magnified, every shot is seemingly contested, every free throw has just a little bit more pressure to it, every point is harder to come by. In reality, Game 1 should have sailed over the number but a funny thing happened, the defenses clamped down in the 4th quarter and it stayed under. The same should happen tonight.

Championships are not won on offense, they are won on defense, no matter the sport and both teams have proved they can stop the other team when they need to. The Lakers have played 6 straight unders now since finishing off Utah in Game 6 while Boston has played unders in 7 of 10 and 10 of 15.

I can see a final score around 182 points in this game to be honest. These two teams combined to score 106 points in the 2nd and 3rd quarters of game 1 and it still stayed beneath the total by 6 points. This total tonight is a little lower but you know what, it's still to high. This will be another tightly played game that stayes beneath the price and remember, this is just he second game these teams have played in about 10 days so fatigue could be a factor once again down the stretch. Take the under here.
