72 hole plays :

2pts Furyk (Evs) v Singh Bet365
2pts Goosen (Evs) v Mickleson Blue Sq
2pts Clarke (10/11) v Weir Blue Sq

+ 4 x 1/2pt Trebles, 1/2pt Acc Paddy Power
Leonard 9/10 (Toms), Goosen 9/10 (Harrington), Furyk 1/1 (Singh),
Faldo 9/10 (Langer) :D

Miss the cut:
2pts on each

Appleby 11/8 Paddy Power
Duval 11/10 UK Betting

I find that I make more effort to price this tournament up + therefore make more prices, and therefore make more mistakes, and therefore feel the need to have a bet more when the prices differ:D :p

edit:typo furyk v Singh (not Weir)

North of Titletown AKA Boston
NEWS: April 9
SKINNY: Allenby has been suffering from a muscle tear in his rib cage the past few weeks, but it hasn't been a problem and may even be helping him slow his rhythm and control a backswing that can sometimes be wild, the Melbourne Age reports. "Physically, I haven't been 100 percent," he said. "(There have been) a few niggly things that haven't really caused me pain, but they've been in the way of my swing, causing me to swing it different."

can you please explain that in more detail?

Thanks....

I am a new fan of golf and I am still learning the game when it comes to the technicality. If I am right, I am assuming your saying that since the course will be wet, the long drive players such as tiger and Mick have an advantage already over many like Duval and Toms?

Thanks

the course will be playing longer because you will get no roll out of the fairway with it wet. to the plus side though hitting 3iron or 4iron into a wet green you can hold it. on a sunny day good luck. only change to course is hole #5 they added some bunkers to make players to play it at a longer length. the advantage to the long hitter is playing a more lofted club into the green allowing it to stick. short hitters will have a difficult time holding greens using long irons if the greens firm up and by the weekend they will.

Dr......you got it right.........the course added more length to it from last year. The added length with the soaked grounds makes the course play much longer. For the player who doesnt hit the tee shot real long...he will be forced to hit longer and harder club into real tough greens.I know this might be complicated but for instance...Fred Funk averages 265 yards per drive......Tiger averages 292 yards per drive....now Tiger is 30 yards closer and has a much easier shot. Also you need to be a high ball hitter when it is wet cause the ball doesnt roll on wet grass. So some long hitters that hit high shots are Tiger,Michelson,Garcia,Love,Els,Goosen,Singh.....you can almost guarantee that one of these guys will win this tournament. Some of those who wont win cause of the length and wetness issues are...Justin Leonard,David Toms,Brad Faxon,Nick Price...these are all great players who will win tournaments but not on this long.....wet course.....hope this helps...enjoy the tournament.....its the super bowl of golf!!!!!!!

another equation that most are not talking about is the rough this year. before the rough was not that big of an issue but from what I am seeing in today's shows it looks like it may be a really big issue. So a long and straight hitter looks to be the play. No john daly's for this weekend. I am also suprised Tiger is still at plus money. The list is getting shorter on who can win. But with these conditions and his length he should be a overwhelming favorite. Of course Tiger still has to play outstanding golf to win, that is the big ?

yes he is, but read some others posters about duval. Stanley has a wager against him and it makes a good point. I wish I could bet against him on too make the cut. but the only 2 books I have heavily funded right now only this action on a few players and duval is not one of them. But I take a stab at it anyway.

FIRST ROUND DUVAL OVER 75' -105 3 UNITS

He's a long ball hitter but dont bet him.Since you like cars...its like his engine is screwed up right now. He's not near 100%.Follow Stanley..he will make you some cash till you learn the ends and outs of golf betting.

again, you guys have been great help, this section of the forum is nothing short of exceptional class act individuals....:)

My local has MICK -195 VS DUVAL

earlier I wagered 400 to win 200, but was thinking of laying another 6 to win 3...

Stanley loves the play and with you two supporting it as well it looks like a great play.

Should I pick up my phone??

:D

Again, thanks in advance!!!

Stanley knows his stuff. It always better to bet against a guy in a funk then one who is not. Golf is a fickle game and this course demands your A+ game or your going home. Its heavy odds but there heavy for a reason.
