- - In the last 4 majors I've been way off the mark on the 2 occasions when I've EXPECTED a core of Europeans to step up for highly commendable championship runs.

I'm back at it again . . . For streaky in both directions, I doubt if anyone in the last 5 seasons matches Fasth. In the form of his life, and I would be shocked if this is the week that a clunker marks his high water point on the season; I definitely wanted and expected him to take last week off in order to form a crisp and confident assault on this weeks storied prize . . .. Harrington's schedule and preparation so frequently seem wildy off the mark for peaking at the majors he speaks so articulately about, but I think he's hit much the right notes coming into this one for getting untracked and then taking it deep . . .
