Adding (1 unit):

Justin Leonard to finish Top American w/o Woods 22/1 e.w. @ Paddy Power
Large price for someone in form and could very easily have won this event last year. A closing 76 took him out of contention when leading the event, but it was his third top-20 finish in this event in the past four years and this event offer the best opportunity to add to his 1997 British Open title. With a win already this season and three strong performances in his last three events (including 2nd in the Colonial), he should feature again this week.

Nick Faldo to finish Top European 18/1 e.w. @ Paddy Power
Hard to ignore a player who has finished in the top-10 twice in the past three years and will be far more suited to this course than Bethpage last year. Has played well in the last two events in Europe and should give Harrington some competition in this group.

Retief Goosen to finish Top Rest of the World 10/1 e.w. @ SkyBet
Certainly didn't expect to see double-figure odds on the 2001 U.S. Open champion. Defending champions have struggled in this event since the 1990s and his missed cut last year can be ignored. His current form is good with top-4 finishes in half of his 12 starts this year and he should make the top-4 in this group at the very worst.

adding @ $plays 72 hole
Estes -110 over Howell

also adding a prop @ Oly

Low score under 275 1/2 +105

Basically using this as hedge against other 2 early props-Players under par and lowest rd total as both them have moved from line bet -115 to -170 and -150.
Modest wagers do not allow much profit in scalp so will opt for hedge, and quite possible a player or 2 could get hot and won't know the true scope of this track till viewing, however it has been altered somewhat for this event.

I'd give Fasth the nod in that matchup, but not by much. As I wrote above, his game is not entrely suited to the U.S. Open - he is too erratic off the tee - but he is a very gritty player, who could do very well on the PGA Tour within a couple of years.

As for Singh-Woods, the value lies with the former, but at about +200 it's about on the mark for me.

With Furyk-Toms, I do like Furyk to win this one very much. You have to shop around for a good price on this one though. SIA had 125 about an hour ago and that does stand out.

U.S Open Plays

U.S Open Plays

Furyk -1' over Kelly
Jim to beat Jerry, Jim will be on his game and the course fits his game.

Campbell -1 over Appleby
Chad's the Man, Stuart is playing good but will have a bad round, I'm hoping for it to be the 2nd.

Allenby -1' over Maggert
This more of a play for Jeff to play bad than for Robert to play good. Robert has been making cuts but faltering in the 4th. I think Jeff won't be around.

Furyk to Win
Jimbo is my pick to win. From tee to green he is very strong, irons will be to the right spots on the greens, putter will be what wins in it. Fluff is on the bag and will be his Best Friend.

If there was a bet for Mick to win or to miss the cut I would be all over it, heard he is going to open it up this week, either GLORY or DOOM, I hope for GLORY, I like him and I hope it ends up well for him , MICK wins by 1 or 2 over Tiger/Maggert or misses the cut completly or he comes close again and loses.

DID I COVER EVERYTHING?

CAN WE DO THIS PHIL?

 :D

Adding matchup (1 unit):

Loren Roberts to beat David Duval -180 @ WSEX
There is no way that a player ranks 2nd last in driving accuracy on the Tour should make the cut. He has made the last two cuts, having missed the previous seven, but Muirfield Village and Avenel are far more open that Olympia Fields and he will struggle again. Roberts has finished ahead of Duval in all their seven common events this year and will do so again this week. He has finished in the top-20 in five of his last eight U.S. Opens and will not be too far from that mark again.

Hope your right on driving accuracy at premium here as that was my thinking for fading Mick so hard this week as he is in close company with Duval ranking 5th from last. I think ball striking and scrambling will be premium stats here.
SIA still has duval and garcia at 1.72 to miss cut, does that equate to -126 U.S. I did little unofficial parlay on the 2 to miss cut.$25 returns $73.96

The greens can't dry out...

The greens can't dry out...

Been pretty moist around here the past couple weeks. Had a little rain last night, also Tuesday. One of my neighbors who belongs to Olympia said if we don't get some sun and wind the winning score will be 7 to 10 under. The greens are really really holding.

Thanks RRC I saw where they called for light rain for 3hours in early am,they must have gotten more but I figured rain would offset as rough would be tougher:confused:

----and Meeks is suppose to be nortorious for setting up courses to the obsene in opens.
