I just don't see ANY area where Diego can win this fight?

I don't think BJ wins quick and easy either. I think he just outpoints him in the 1st/2nd rounds, then finshes him on the ground in the 3rd. RNC or TKO from referee stepping in...

I think the fight is similar to just about all of BJs LW matches.

I don't think Diego has ever had power in his hands(then consider he's dropping to LW now). His ground game is good, no doubt, but can he get BJ on the ground, yet alone in a bad spot?

Ummm...Kenny tried to wear BJ down by leaning on him and clinching up with him the entire time. It didn't work.

I don't care about either fighters cardio in this fight because, IMO, it doesn't go that far.

Diego, IMO, has never fought strategicly the most smart. He's just been more talented, and gotten through it. Diego fights to prove a point. BJ fights to win. Diego hasn't really fought anyone besides Koscheck and Fitch, and he lost both. He barely beat Guida, and his fight against Stevenson was far from impressive. TBQH...I really don't even know why the hell he's getting a title shot.

I think BJ wins via some sort of stoppage.

bj may well win(thats why he`s a 3-1 fave),but,compared to sanchez,florian is a skinny little runt.....penn will have much more trouble with sanchez.....and as wee said, he just might gas...

Just listen to what Joe Rogan says at 4:45 minutes into that video, and there's not much left to say.

ps - Florians 6th career pro fight, Diego's 15th. Also I think you all will agree that Florian has gotten so much better since the show.

no...the point is that sanchez is a full weight class bigger than florian...and a better grappler.....

that`s why florian was drubbed so badly...and if they fought again,it would be a replay....

you can`t fix that much size and strength differential..

the fight was at 185...Deigo should've been fighting 170 and Florian actually should've been fighting at 155

Diego moved to LW because he couldn't hang with the WW. About 10% because of size, but 90% because he knew in the long run he wouldn't last. Florian's frame isn't too much different while Diego is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller.

The way the sport is anymore, fighters are fighting 2 weight classes below their natural weight.

That it would end the same way? I'm more than game for that.

I'm not arguing over who's the better fighter.

My argument is you're trying to state a case for Diego from a fight that happened in April of 2005 against a fighter with 5 pro fights at a 185 weight matchup. I understand Florian is a common opponent between BJ and Diego, but I would never use a common opponent because it doesn't mean squat.

Im gonna take a stab at Kongo also. I think Mir gets cracked in this one. I like BJ in the other one. I think u guys are just getting to caught up in the odds ala Kickserv.

I wouldn't touch Diego in this fight. I'm not a BJ fan but the guy is the best 155er and probably top 3 at 170(I think Fitch might beat him but I'm not even positive about that). If this was at 170 I think Diego would have a better shot but it looks like he's lost a lot of strength with the drop in weight. I don't think he'll be able to muscle BJ around. I think BJ stuns him with some punches and then taps him out on the ground.

Kick, I'll be holding my breath for you on the Mir fight.
