For GSP? Not much left for him at 170. It seemed like he was talking about being recognized as the best of all time a lot leading up to this fight. Can a move into 185 and a mega-bout with Silva be far off?

as dominating a wrestling clinic as that was....i think it hurts gsp....that`s like 3 of his last 4 went to decision...

sorry kick and the canadian contingent....the guy isn`t a solid finisher like fedor and silva....and because of that fact,i would have to place him below those guys....again sorry...just my opinion...

he`s great....probably the best pure athlete in mma...but he`s just not a big time finisher....especially against younger opponents around the same size...

he `s great though..dominating....nobody in this division can stop those takedowns...period..

not one scratch on hardy. amazing

I know. I was shocked by that too. I really thought he would get bloodied up. Then again, he was too busy having his arm almost ripped out of the socket.

I'm probably one of those uneducated fans that Rogan and the others bitch about, but when two guys are in the octagon for 25 minutes and NEITHER one of them looks like they've been in a fight afterward, that's not much of a fight, IMO. I understand fighting a good technical fight and all that, but you would think in a 25-minute span someone would get a little dinged up at some point.

Where are the Carwin haters? Same thing with Machida before he won the title. If a guys runs thru chumps better than you would expect the divisions top guys, you have to give them some respect.

GSP is the most boring MMA fighter there is. What's worse, I have to watch it for 5 effing minutes. Brutal.

Gmroz.....you are a good guy.....but you have no fucking clue what you are talking about. GSP boring is like calling Jennifer Aniston ugly.

What in the love of fuck are you talking about.

Now go throw acid in your eye, because you are way way off.

GSP is fucking amazing and far from boring.......Machida boring yes.....GSP...gimmie a break.

I mean what the hell are you talking about.

But hey your a good guy....so I'll let it pass.

Lyoto far far far more boring then GSP. I mean what are you talking about:shrug:

GSP......the best MMA fighter on the planet.....

give it up for hardy to never quit, but if it were anyone else that fight woulda been over in the first round...

those submissions were brutal and normally would have been quick submissions on most opponents..

hardy just has a lot of heart and no quit in him...

but..

GSP DOMiNATED

MAybe kegray will finally believe me when I say Carwin is Top 4 in the world.

I said Carwin, Mir or Dos Santos would beat Brock...and I am sticking to it:SIB

Well I have to say that Carwin was indeed a beast tonight and showed me something and shut me up.
Unlike the Gonzaga fight, Carwin closed down on Mir and did not allow for seperation like he did against Gonzaga. I was wondering if Mir could handle him if Carwin decided to lean on him and the answer was a HUGE NO.

PROPS TO CARWIN and if he is able to use upper body strength against Lesnar and avoid the takedown then Brock is toast.

Carwin has fought nobody of quality until tonight which had me skeptical of his ability. NO MORE. He is the real deal.

Great night when I lose my most confident play(Mir) but win all the rest and finish +316. :00hour

GSP can't finish. He lays on top of guys for 5 rounds. Machida finishes people, much more exciting.

Machida finishes people??

He has 16 wins and 9 are by decision.

Machida is good not doubt, but a known finisher he is not.

And Shogun should have got the decision and will next time.

If GSP's name was Jon Fitch he would have to win 5 times on the undercard before he got a shot to show his wrestling on the main card :mj07: :142smilie

I am right here Brother :mj07: .

I was one of the few who was praising Machida up before he was champ.
I am also one of the ones who thought Carwin was dogshit and my opinion has not changed. He managed to Freeman Mir, Big Deal. Mir has alway's been a one trick pony.
Not a big fan of Carwin, Mir or Brock.
I have been saying for a long time, the future of the Heavyweight division is named Cain.

That's right Kick, NOT Dos Santos (Who impresses me more and more each time out).
Cain will slaughter Carwin.

Mir's knockout over Kongo was the worst thing for him. Just felt this coming in and wish i pulled back my bet. He thinks he has this great standup and it really isnt that good. Now with this added muscle he is slower then ever. Just a stupid fight he fought because he now thinks he is a professional boxer and power guy. Everyone was talking how great this card was gonna be but i never thought that simply because of the styles and matchups. Alves would have made the card much better. This card stunk and the UFC needs a new match maker or someone who can simply understand that if a guy can't stop a takedown then don't pair him against a great wrestler. It just makes a terrible fight like the Fitch fight. Hardy was rank #1 so u couldn't do anything there. How is Palhares still fighting on undercards?

UFC 113 now that is a great great card with matchups galore. Im not even interested in 112 except for the Penn Frankie fight. Time to put Palhares in there with Mia. That is a matchup. Stout Stevens, Cote Belcher, Shogun Machida, wow what a card 113 is gonna be.

HELL
thanks for another snoozer, gsp.

Amen to this....painful that was to watch. Sure he is great, nobody will beat him again at 170, but in terms of entertainment brutal. I know a win is a win and who gives a fuck about us, but it's not even fun watching him anymore in this weight class.

Ever since Serra caught him, he fights not to lose. Painful to watch. No doubt in my mind, his next ppv will see a huge fall in buy rates..

umm you are wrong all over the place. He didnt knockout Kongo. His standup is better than the whole heavyweight division. Go watch the Nog fight.. he dropped him numerous times. He lost in the clinch vs Carwin, had nothing to do with his striking..
