He got to fight the best because he might have killed a lesser opponent. I understand where you are coming from, but to put him in with a few cans does nobody any good. Afterall, he is a cash cow for Dana, we are talking about Dana here. Milk it while you can for as long as you can. Call it what you want, Lesnar sells tickets and PPV's, and since boxing has no real heavyweight that anyone cares about here in the US, why not? Is it fair for all of those that paid there dues, NO.

Easy answer, because he sells ppvs! The guys who can get the audience get the big fights.

Dana always says that he doesn't bring in guys for this "sideshow" as he puts it purpose.

You could argue Lesnar was a sideshow after losing to Mir the way he did. Inexperienced mistake cost him.

Dana has always been a double standard guy who acts like he is not.
He bashes other companies for selling a Kimbo or Herschel Walker or Bobby Lashley, but he did the same thing and rewarded the guy for his appeal instead of his shown ability.
He brings in James Toney which is as bad or worse than all of the above.

The Undertaker would be a huge draw as well so I guess he gets the winner of Lesnar/Cain.

That is my point. He had to show he was worthy of fighting for the title by progressing and winning.
Lesnar did not because he was a sideshow.

If I was running the company then yes I would have done the same, but I would not have blasted other companies in doing the same then do it myself afterwards.

What do you call coming into a organization with a career record of 1-0 over Min Soo Kim and being GIVEN the #1 contender label only to lose your first fight and STILL be labeled as the #1 contender because of the buzz.

Like I said spoon fed may not be the right term, but he was given an opportunity that NO other fighter with his experience would ever get because he was a sideshow coming from WWE.
And Dana has ALWAYS blasted the sideshow concept yet rewarded his own.
When he lost to Mir everyone said he is a big strong freak with no mma knowledge skills. The submission clearly shows he has evolved, but after the loss to Mir he was simply a sideshow at the time.

if you saw the picture of finney between rounds,her right side was to the camera...but you could still see the enormous swelling and discoloration of her left eye socket....lumps on her head...

6 knockdowns...a punch every 3.3 seconds in the 1st round landed by cyborg......


going into this fight,the powers that be knew she was a 135 pounder..they knew she was roughly a .500 fighter at a lower weight...they should have been vigilant...

the girl gets a fight on a world stage...she didn`t want to blow her big chance by quitting..she`s basically got too much heart for her own good...

that`s where the ref/doctor/corner step in and take it out of her hands for her own safety... but they failed miserably...if this had been a male ref,he might just be done....

everybody involved in sending that lamb out to slaughter in the second round should be sanctioned...

i`ll be verrry curious to see the reception winslow gets from fans at her next televised gig...from what i`ve read,the large majority of folks(without a job-related or monetary interest in mma i.e.writers,announcers, .etc) thought it was frightening...they kept waiting for the obvious stoppage...even cyborg made "wtf" gestures during the beatdown......

This is nothing but speculation on my part, and I won't post the other forum name out of respect to Jack, but based on Sponge's line about this guy being "the new owner of another site," I'm guessing it's the forum that recently had a shit-ton of publicity about its former owner all over the Internet, on radio shows, etc.

Well, it's sad when you're hoping that somebody is "only" in The Graybar Hotel, but it sounds like maybe that's what we should be hoping for. I don't think I've ever talked to him, but he seems like a decent dude.

BTW, in this last post I think you may have inadvertently mentioned the site you were asking Sponge about in your other post. That is of course, if I'm thinking of the right site.
