Silva had him wobbled but he didn't go for the kill. :shrug: Great fight by Sonnen. He took it to Silva the whole way so he deserves a lot of credit, but I find it odd that he encountered very little resistance from Silva in a title fight.
At 1:30 of the 4th round Rogan finally figures out that Silva needs a KO or sub to win...No shit, Joe? What was your 1st fucking clue? Thats right, YOU HAVE NEVER HAD ONE, IDIOT!
Maybe, but he wasn't gassed in the first minute of the fight when he left his hands down and let Sonnen punch him in the face 3 or 4 times in a row. I don't know if he just underestimated Sonnen severely or what, but he has shown little to no effort in this fight. If he had put the same effort into the entire fight as he did in the first 30 seconds of the 4th round, it probably would have been a different story. Sonnen wanted this fight about 1,000 times more than Silva did.
Congrats to everyone who had Sonnen. HUGE underdog winner. He took it to Silva from start to finish, and actually backed up all that talk.
Unfortunately, I assume after this win Sonnen won't shut his mouth for the next 37 days. :142smilie
