The real disturbing one i thought was Thiago. The guy fights nothing but big names and does well most of his fights. He has fought al those big names and beat some big names to build himself up to 18 grand

To me, the win bonus should be awarded the higher of the 2 payouts for whoever wins the fight. Kind of gives even more incentive for the lesser payout fighter to go all out or go down swinging, might make for better fights too. Or at least split the difference between the 2 payouts and award the average to the winner....meaning Cain got 100K to win Brock 400K to lose, this means the win bonus for Cain would have been 250K (500K divided in half).

That style might have bought him another 30 seconds. Randy hits about as hard as Sergio Mora. I thinkk the way Carwin hit him has changed his tune for some reason.

couldn`t have gone too much worse than it did....his height and reach never came into play.....

hoping dos santos puts an end to the velaquez over-hype machine...we`re talking a serious height and reach advantage....and some takedown defense...

No advantage on reach, both are 77. There's a 3 inch height advantage but IMO that's not and advantage vs Cain. Just means he has to get lower to stop the TDs. We really don't know how good JDS is with his td defense, at least vs someone with the take downs that Cain has.

GW, I can't believe you think he's over hyped. He's beaten some good guys and looked really good doing it. He is quick for his size(a lot quicker that most HWs), his hands look like they're getting better every time he fights and he has some of the best wrestling in MMA. Add to that he literally bounced up off the floor when Brock took him down and you have a real beast. Oh yeah, he seems to have a really good chin. At least good enough to eat a punch and still be able to grab a leg or two.

super smart,

brock fought like the fucktard

u think roy nelson would have lasted with cain for 3 rounds? jds is one dimensional, that's why he couldnt get roy out of there

weasel werent u the dude who grabbed cain when he was still the underdog vs kongo

Biggest over reaction I've ever seen after any fighters loss.

No shit. It makes me puke to even comment on comments about Brock losing.

RELAXXXXXXXXXXX guys, he will be fine. He's not retiring, going to WWE, etc...He will go back to training, and get better. He still has alot of time left in MMA, and will only get better in time.

ps- Kick, you're a clown for making that list. Style wise, there are some fighters on there who I think Brock would just destroy....

Mir, Barnett, and Werdum(and Im very high on Werdum. I told you guys he'd be Fedors toughest fight of his career. I think Werdum is actually a top 5 HW in the world. But STYLES make fights.)

JDS is the real HW champ if you ask me. Cain is just keeping it warm for him.

LMFAO at calling him one dimensional. And LMFAO at saying thats why he couldn't get Roy out of there. WOW. Please keep 'em comin'

That's like calling Wandy 1 dimensional, or Chuck 1 dimensional. They're SOOOOOOOO good at striking that people think they have no ground skills. Yet, their ground skills are amazing.

Well my two thoughts on a Cain Dos Santos fight. Cain has got to out Cardio Dos Santos. If not i see Dos Santos winning. Dos Santos has showed basically everything in my opinion. So has Cain but Dos Santos doesn't get hit like Cain. Looking at those odds no way i could take Cain. To me it is an even fight or Dos Santos a slight fav. Dos Santos hands are head and shoulders better than Cains. His take down defense looks super solid. His chin looks solid also. To me Cains only chance is to get this into round 4 or five and hope Dos Santos wilts and im not so sure he will. Dos Santos for me. Cain does have the nod with more big fight experience after going thru what he did with Lesnar and it could be a factor with Dos Santos, but who knows. The only reason im a little weary taking Dos Santos is because Kick is on him. I don't like being on the side with a guy who changes Avatars every UFC event :SIB

i still don`t see all the hype surrounding cain`s stand-up....because of nog?.....certainly not because of kongo....because he scored high on some "punch-o-meter'?...

i`ve always thought that height=reach....theres a difference punching up and punching down...particularly when you own a murderous uppercut...

and i still can`t believe he couldn`t finish kongo( if not for grabbing a leg,we wouldn`t be discussing this)...

he wades in and leaves himself wide open...he like to play russian roulette with his stand-up...

he got away with it vs kongo and old nog.....

he does the same vs dos santos, and that uppercut will put him to sleep....

i hope for his fans` sakes he fights smart and takes it to the mat....cause he ain`t winning a stand-up fight vs dos santos...

Brock came into the UFC and had EVERYTHING handed to him.

He did little to nothing to earn a title shot. He was 1-1 in the UFC with a win over Heath Herring for god sakes and was given Couture for the belt.

He thought the UFC was like the WWE where the new big stud wins.
Problem is the UFC is not pre deteremined.

Fact is the guy is 4-2 in the UFC and could be 3-3(Carwin).

Time will tell if he indeed improves but I have yet to a whole hell of a lot of improvement from earlier fights to now. He takes his time better and tries different things in standup but in the end he always has and always will rely on over power ground and pound. Guys who can handle the power will always beat him.
In other words he has no chance vs a JDS or Cain and I very much doubt him against Carwin if they fight again.

i agree. all this talk about "best striker in HW division" - fuck that, i think he's the best pure striker in the UFC...maybe in the world. his striking is like watching a tutorial

:mj07: Best pure striker in the world? There is a reason he isn't fighting for the heavyweight boxing crown and that is because he would get smashed if he went in the ring with one of those guys. If he was the best pure striker in the world he would be fighting for millions instead of 40 thousand a fight. Maybe u meant best striker in the MMA world.

I meant mixed martial artists LOL I don't compare MMA to Boxing. My analysis is pure MMA.

I think he's the best pure striker in MMA today. His power and technique is a treat to watch. It's no wonder him and Anderson train together. They look idential with their technique and hands...
