It's now incumbent on the UFC and the Michigan Unarmed Combat Commission need to undertake a thorough investigation of what went wrong and why. Whether it was foul play on the part of a timekeeper who wanted Harris to win or simply an honest mistake that happened at a terrible time for Falcao, clock errors of that kind simply can't be tolerated.

Got to love Dana's comment about this is the ultimate fighting championship and not the ultimate staring contest. Ya got to love Dana. He wants guys to just knock each others brains out and im sure Dana will be there for them 15 years from now when these guys don't even remember they were fighters, with no money and no health benefits.

terrible error...but falcao knew...it took the ref around 5 seconds to pry the choke off of harris...:mj07:

My bad then. I guess I should have read the entire thread. I only read pages 6 and page 7. It looked like the same UFC chatter that goes on in here. People always disagree with the decisions, and with each other, so I didn't think it wasn't anything unusual.

"When I was Octagon side, I scored it 29-28 for Lyoto Machida".

"No ifs. No ands. No buts. No controversy. Lyoto Machida won that first round. He landed leg licks, and a pretty good kick to the body. Rampage id try to control Machida twice against the cage. The second time Machida did reverse the position. His footstomps and elbows to the thighs were damage, but nothing in comparison to what Machida did."

"Now people are saying Machida ran the first round. No, he did not! Watch that first round again and there comes a point when Machida owns the center of the octagon. So, at that point there, you know, it's not Machida that is running away. It is Rampage who is not engaging. Rampage did not even throw a punch, I believe, until the second minute or the third minute of the fight. You take that into consideration. You look at dominance. You look at damage that was caused. You guys want a unbaised opinion? Here it goes...

I hate both Machida and Rampage and would've loved nothing more than a DOUBLE KO. However, Rampage didnt win that fight. This isn't even close to the Rua/Machida decision. However, I do thinkn Machida should've got the decision in what I kept telling people was going to be #1 the most irrelevant elite fighters fight and #2 boring. I was more interested in the co-main event by far.

This is why in this sport u can't have guys barely winning a round and then next round get a beat down and then go into round three 1-1. Just silly. U can get away with this in boxing cause they go twelve but in a three round fight it is stupid.
