Maynard whipped him the first time, but for some reason I think this fight will be a lot closer

5 rounds is a huge difference
Maynard starts strong
Edgar never stops it seems

I'm really not very excited about this card. Edgar doesn't do it for me and neither does Maynard. That division is stacked but it seems like we are getting stuck with a second rate fight for a title.

Leben v Stann: Meh
Silva v Vera: I love to watch Silva bc he is a nut. Vera I can do without, but snce he is fighting an exciting guy, I'm interested in this one.
Diaz v Kim: I hate Diaz, so I want to root against him. That's about it for this one.
Guida v Gomi: This is the second fight I want to see after Silva/Vera. This has potential, but could easily be a turd.

I agree, I'm more excited to see Pettis "Showtime Kick" his way to a championship in the next title fight.

I didn't even know I had that channel. Very cool! :00hour

Me neither. Never heard of it but there on Ch 11 it is

The 3 fights they are showing

* Marcus Davis vs. Jeremy Stephens
* Josh Grispi vs. Dustin Poirier
* Phil Baroni vs. Brad Tavares

Mike Brown again misses out on a main card slot:0003

45-29 +45.89 units

Opinions 17-17 +3.25 units(always .5 unit bets)

Biggest bet in a long time but as soon as it was announced I knew I would be going big.

Maynard -140 6units

It would be a 7 unit bet but the extra 40 keeps me away from it. I think Edgar knows he's going to have problems. The fact that he thinks his bjj is going to help him this time when he's held down leads me to believe he knows he can't stop Maynard's tds. I think I've pretty much given my reasons in this thread and another one on why I love this plays so much.

I'm leaning towards taking Gomi as well but I'm going to wait for weigh ins. Gomi is one guy who scares me with his lack of conditioning. I want to make sure he's not too soft.

Gmroz....I said that earlier.....three years ago this dude was saying the same shit. He has never fought anyone in the top 20, never. And he is by far the most boring fighter in all of MMA (although his last fight he actually did something). I have watched Antonio McKee fight 7 or 8 times and let me tell ya he is one boring fighter. Sixfive would have a brain embolism if he watched Antonio McKee:mj07:

As you can see I went big on the underdog Volkmann, Antonio McKee has fought shit competition so maybe Volkmann will surprise him. Antonio McKee is kinda like Nick Diaz, he talks smack but fights shit competition. Although at least Nick has fought top guys in the past.

Volkmann at +155 is a great play in my opinion. Although I will say this about McKee, the guy does have great wrestling.

Just listened to an interview with Antonio McKee. He believes he is top three in the 155 LB division behind BJ Penn and Gray Maynard. :0corn

he`s 40..he`s the ultimate "lay n` pray" guy....and he`s moving up in class here...fighting an ex-170 pounder in volkmann(who is a pretty decorated wrestler in his own right)...

really interesting fight...

His biggest wins are Carlos Prater (who has been on a downsllide the past few years), Derrick Noble (very up and down fighter), Delson Heleno, Toby Imada (back in 05), Edwin Dewees and Marcus Aurelio. If he thinks he is top 3 then he is nuts

This will be a wrestling contest and Volkmann will fancy his chances in that type of matchup as he is a 3-time All American
