fight goes the distance $$$$

rashad will run all night

I think he has to take try to take him down, let him up and repeat. The first fight the speed of Machida took him by surprise. If he stays on the outside he is going to be kicked to death. If he try's to strike and play speed games with Machida it is just going to be UFC 98 over again

Machida vs. Evans now set

Much better fight

Man im glad Machida got this fight. The fight i want to see is Machida vs Jones and if Machida wins he is all the more closer. If Rashad would have beat Davis it is Rashad getting the shot and Machida falling farther behind the title chase and a fight with Jones. That fight might never happen or happen in two to three years. Im surprised Tito turned down the shot.

I'm not sure I believe Evans can take him down. I think if he tries it might be the last thing he wants to do. IMO out of the clinch Machida will be much stronger.

I can't see Evans winning this fight but as always I've been wrong on Evans more than any other fighter.

Yeah I have to agree. This is Machida's fight to win. The big fight with Jones seems a long way away now

Though latest reports this fight is NOT a done deal:shrug:

"Now, according to both his wife and manager Ed Soares, the Brazilian doesn?t believe he would have enough time to prepare for the bout, and is turning it down as well."

Honestly, I think it's the smart decision by Machida. He has nothing to gain by fighting Evans but he could lose a lot. He's already proven he's better so why fight, it's not like he has the belt and Evans is the top challenger.

I would really have liked to see Evans vs Shogun over Shogun vs Forrest.

UFC really gets F'd on this one but I think if it was me and knowing the ppv numbers mean a lot, I would move Franklin up vs Evans and replace him with someone to fight Nog. But, Rich is Dana's boy and IMO Nog is a good fight for him.

This is probably the next best choice out there. King Mo needs an opponent after Roger Gracie pulled out of a Strikeforce event but he is not a bigger enough star to headline a PPV

KYLE KINGSBURY would make 1 helluva fight with Rashad, although the UFC wouldn't make that happen.

Look at the rankings/who the UFC has...really, who is there that hasn't turned down the fight?

Kingsbury, Hamill, Forrest, Rua, Franklin, Gustaffson, Vera, Bonner?

Kingbury is on a good run and certainly has the power to trouble Evans.

Not sure if the UFC want to change the Rua/ Forrest fight. But if they need a main event they could take one of them and then if Davis is fit in time, he could take the Brazil slot against the other.

It's a shame Thiago Silva is suspended.

Vera would be a good fight. Ok he is on a slide but he has skills

I don't wanna see the Forrest/Rua fight changed. Especially since it's been official for so long and has some meaning to it. Had they not fought before, I'd be ok with it.

I was gonna name Silva, but of course, he's suspended.

No matter who they face Rashad with, Rashad's opponent isn't going to be a guy who's gonna get a title shot if they win, unless it's someone like Rua, Rampage, or Forrest. So Rashad needs to just accept the fact that he's taking a risk whoever he fights. So I say give him Kingsbury or Gustafsson, they're both very exciting fighters and will make an exciting fight.
