this pretty much clinches a "no buy" for me..

..i`ll fight with the streams...honestly,aside from franklin/noguera(and to a lesser extent macdonald/pyle),the rest of the ppv is drecchh...

evans running around...tito slowly stalking...both guys gassing midway through the 2nd....

akiyama/belfort?...who cares....akiyama has been totally exposed....sakara/rivera?...who cares x 10..... how is this a main card fight?

we`ll be probably getting this for free...

PRELIMINARY CARD (Spike TV)
* ?Alexander Gustafsson vs. Vladimir Matyushenko
*?Chad Mendes vs. Rani Yahya
PRELIMINARY CARD *?Brian Ebersole vs. Dennis Hallman
?Ivan Menjivar vs. Nick Pace
*?Johny Hendricks vs. Mike Pierce
*?Mike Brown vs. Nam Phan
?Rafael "Sapo" Natal vs. Costantinos Phillippou

i `m always scratching my head at the breakdown of fights on the main/undercards....

I can remember that first fight like it was yesterday. I went HUGE on Tito and to be honest I felt fortunate to get a draw. I thought Evans figured it out about half way through the fight. In the first fight I thought Tito's size advantage would be the big thing but I was surprised that he couldn't keep Evans down. I think Evans takes this one by moving a lot, throwing a few big punches and then going for one or two take downs a round.

I could care less if I'm wrong because I don't really care who wins. Tito would get smoked by Bones so maybe I'll root for Evans because at least there's a story for he and Bones when they fight.

Big props to Tito for taking the fight. I'm sure it doesn't hurt knowing how much he'll make.

Same fight i remember Lay. I had Rashad and was furious when every time he was gonna take Tito down Tito grab the fence. Over and over. These are round stealers if the ref is blind and doesn't see it.

tito got penalized a point...and that point saved rashad`s arse.....

i don`t think that ortiz wins here....he`ll be a substantial dog and rightly so....

but evans is VERY beatable...his 15-1 record is more than a bit misleading...and his stamina is shaky at best...

He should have been penalized ten points. Again these are round changers when a guy stops a takedown by a blatant grab of a fence. Tito stopped about five of them.

Wow, at +300 I think Tito is the correct side on this one. I really didn't think about the line when I was talking about the fight. I know I was very large on Tito in the first one but I have no clue what the line was. I'm thinking Tito was a small fav. I don't think Evans has that big of an advantage over Tito. 300 is stout!

Why would he be a bigger dog:shrug: The first fight was a draw and he is coming off a great performance against a guy who has more ring rust then the first cage ever assembled. I think the odds should be closer not farther apart.

Tito stopped 1 of those takedowns by grabbing the fence. The 2nd one, which he actually got penalized for, HE GOT THE TAKEDOWN! If there was 30 more seconds in that round, Tito would've finished Rashad via guillotine.

It amazes me how many of you guys just throw bullshit around without knowing what you're talking about.

10 times? Jesus dude, he grabbed it a total of about 3-4 times, but it was only during 2 takedown attempts, in which 1 he got anyway, and almost got submitted!! I love how there was no mention of Rashad grabbing the fence a couple times as well, LMAO

i find it hilarious how guys who actually watched the Tito Rashad fight awhile back, seem to think Tito basically dominated it. He ggrab the fence so many times it was getting embarassing. These game and positioning changing fence grabs are so huge in a fight. Tito would have been on his ass ten times in that fight if it wasn't for this blatant cheating. Some guys watch fights and just want to see what they want to see.
Now on another note is Tito more healthy going into this fight? Possible.
Gary and Lay how could the two of u think there was nothing in this fight for Machida? He wins he is the number one or two contender. I think that is something. Now look what he has done. He might have dropped to tenth rank now with Dana and his short fuse. I don't diss the guy for backing out. He should get paid top dollar to fill in for a headline fight on short notice. I bet he didn't even get half of what Tito was offered to step in so Dana is full of shit in this area. throw the guy another hundred tho for goodness sakes is it really gonna hurt this much? Tito just got 450 thou for his last fight. Only Brock and Chuck get that kind of doe.

Tito pretty much did dominate the fight until probably the last 1 minute of the 3rd round. Rewatch the fight grasshopper, he only grabbed the fence a couple times in the 2nd round, 1 in which he got taken down anyways, and ALMOST submitted Rashad, but time ran out.

What fight were you remembering like it was yesterday? Rashad figured it out alright, with 1 minute to go in the 3rd round. You should feel robbed, because Rashad pretty much earned the draw in 1 minute...showing another reason why the scoring system is so fucked up.

In the 10 point system, it should've been a draw. But pure fighting, Rashad lost that fight.

guys grab the fence multile times in practically every fight...

a draw...and only because of a point deduction.....
an embarrassment...

he beat griffin to win the title thanks to a slip in the 3rd round(after losing the first two),then promptly got k.o.`ed badly in his first defense.......and eeked out a win vs bisping(very close).....splits vs hoger and imes...majority over bonnar....i`ll give him credit...he `s a very fortunate guy...

rashad needs to stay away from jones/machida...probably rua...and in time,davis....keep fighting slow guys like rampage and silva...

he`ll be 31 soon ......and he`s not getting any younger...or better......there are too many guys out there now that match his speed and are bigger....

he better make his run now....

excerpts from dana white`s mother`s book about dana...DANA WHITE: KING OF MMA.

"There are many articles written about Dana, where he came from, and the hard life he had growing up. I have heard him referred to as a Southie tuff, but that is not who Dana is and does not accurately reflect the life he has led. It is hard for me to hear the many myths about Dana, and the way he is portrayed to the public. It is difficult for me to see how, as the popularity of the UFC evolved, the person I once knew changed into someone who is egotistical, self-centered, arrogant, and cruel. I liken Dana?s transformation to that of Precious in Lord of the Rings. Just as the ring of power changed that fictional character, Dana?s power and wealth have changed him into someone I do not recognize.

Dana?s family and friends were always there to help and support him no matter what the circumstances. As Dana?s success grew and the circumstances of life changed for him, he did not do the same for them. Dana went from being a true friend, a good son, and a truly nice person to being a vindictive tyrant who lacks any feelings for how he treats others. It is hard to say if what changed him so utterly was the extreme amount of money he came into so quickly, the influence of those around him, or how suddenly he could make or break so many people. Power can create ugly beasts. In meetings that were not going Dana?s way, he has told me, he would stand up at the conference table, (creating a psychological advantage), holler, and swear at individuals he was dealing with. He would tell them, ?I?ll bury you!? Dana has a very short fuse and it does not take a whole lot to set him off on a totally out-of-control tirade. These days he always gets what he wants, no matter what it takes to get it. His employees will echo that same powerful statement: he will do whatever it takes to get what he wants."....

man, when you treat your own mother like shit and she thinks you`re a prick, then theres a good possibility that you ARE A PRICK...

WHOA !

Spongey: Here's the thing about this for Machida: If he wins, it doesn't really do much because Dana wants no part of Machida being successful and Dana will just chalk it up as a repeat win. If he loses, he drops WAY down. Machida was smart to go after the big money.

u first say two now 3 or 4? U really think i meant it when i said ten :mj07: Fence grabbing changes fights. Aldo finishes Hominick in the first if Hominick isn't cheating the whole first round. Lindland is taking Fedor down at will and then Fedor grabs the rope and falls on top of Lindland to finish him. Grabbing ropes and fences change fights. Just like eye pokes cochief. Shields is gonna find that out when Ellenberger puts him to sleep.

i agree with ya to a point but i think Dana would like to see Jones vs Machida. To me this is a huge fight with two great styles. To me that is the big money fight at 205 unless Silva moves up.

#1 lmao comparing an eye poke to grabbing the fence...grasshopper

#2 he only grabbed the fence 2x during takedown attempts, it just so happend that on the 2nd takedown attempt he grabbed it multiple attempts. that's what i meant, FOOL.

#3 go back to hiding because i just blasted everything you said from start to finish. your recollection of the fight is a joke.
