I think Pearson/Barbosa has the best potential for FOTN. Whats the odds on that one?

I think Shogun and Anderson finish their fights, hence not getting FOTN's.

Depending on the exchanges, I also think Nog/Schaub has potential for FOTN.

+700 for pearson barboza

+650 for schaub nog

The only fight that worries me a little is spencer fisher/ tavares, might put in a tiny hedge.

Depending on the exchanges, I also think Nog/Schaub has potential for FOTN.

If Shogun finishes in the later rounds it may even improve the case for FOTN, imo.

Alot of FOTN is politics. They gave it to Brian Stann / santiago for a ho-hum one sided stand up fight which didn't even make it to round 3. There were much more entertaining fights on the card, but they wanted to give Stann the bonus cause the event was "for the troops" and military themed, I suspect.

Edit: The main and co-main events seem to get some preference as well.

"the bunker"
A few things about the weigh in. I thought Forest looked great. He looked a little more lean then im use to. He looks like he has the gas tank which is not good for Shogun. I could see this go three with Forest taken this cause he gassed Shogun but Shogun get that home cooking decision. Shogun also looked better then im use to seeing him. Im taking a shot on Big nog. I thought he looked good in the weigh in and he say's he is 100 percent which means shit cause they all are 100 percent. Just don't think Schaub and that big mouth are as good as the words that come out it. Who cares if he beat a terribly washed up Mirko. A Mirko who's head has been soften up by that kick Gonzaga delivered a few years ago. This isn't a big play. He can get laid out and retire after this but i think he is crafty enuf to get this done.

one thing to think about here spongey.....actually several things....

rua made some solid adjustments vs machida in their second fight.....does the guy always make solid adjustmnts?...who knows...but in the one rematch,he certainly stepped it up a notch..we aren`t the only ones that are aware that he lost the first fight because of his gas tank... i doubt he`ll gas himself out and end up rolling around on the ground with griffin like the first fight........... don`t expect rua to fight the same fight.....i think he turns this into a stand-up fight and vs a guy that struggled in a stand-up fight vs ortiz,i think rua has a significant advantage over griffin standing.....i also believe rua kicks better than griffin so griffin won`t be able to do a rampage on rua here...

and people just seem to be underestimating the homecourt advantage....i`m not just talking about the judging or the crowd....i`m talking about fighting in a foreign country... a very foreign country......griffin mentioned in an interview how he had trouble getting the food he wanted and some other issues regarding fighting in a foreign country...it`s not easy...it`s not like fighting in britain or ireland...

i remember what a huge underdog griffin was in the first fight...i remember the crowd chanting griffin`s name....the environment of the whole first fight was that griffin had absolutely nothing to lose and was fighting that way.......

it was the the first time in his career that rua couldn`t use stomps and soccer kicks...and was fighting in a cage....

just some things to think about...griffin is a tough guy and you have to repect his gutiness....but i just believe that rua, with octagon experience in his back pocket, will be a much tougher nut to crack the second time around(in brazil)...you have to think anything close goes rua`s way...think bisping vs hamill....

what i`m saying in a nutshell,is that we have a very different set of circumstances here...

I was at the bar watching the first fight, it was crazy how many people there had no clue who Shogun was and were going nuts the whole fight for Forrest and cheering his name.

This will be the first UFC I have watched live in a hella long time. Looking forward to a Silva show, hopefully. No wagers for me, but it should be fun to watch. May the Force be with your wagers!
