adding a play.....so looks like this now:

UFC Record (since UFC 58)
--------------------------------------

Prop Bet 1-4
Fighter vs. Fighter 51-37
Parlays 18-21

+29.95 Joe Rogans

Georges St. Pierre beat Matt Hughes $1.50 *9 Joe Rogans

GSP and Hughes Fight won't go 2:30 round 2 $2.60 *1 Joe Rogan

have not decided yet....but Eddie Sanchez at odds of $2.25 does look like a good play....:SIB

and agree with you guys Dean Lister should win easily but odds are really low, he's a huge fav, may be good for parlays:SIB

Yeh Bucks, I knew that Wand had left Chutebox and was doing some training with Randy.
I will say he does look pretty good in training. Maybe he just needed a rest.

Kickserv, Are you from Toronto?
If so, what is your opinion on the Bocek fight?

yep I was born just outside Toronto :SIB As for the fight I think the odds are right where they should be....a pick-em fight in my opinion. I do like the Canadian (Mark Bocek) to pull out the win. Both guys lost their UFC debuts against tough fighters.....but both looked good....it should be a great fight too bad we probably won't see it. I know I am not really answering your question, but let us put it another way....there are other fights on that card that look better...it is a tough one to call.....but with all that being said I do think the Canadian will win :SIB

that was a useless response wasn't it :mj07:

yep.......

wowza...maybe my OPINION is just off base. I'm not certain of my pick, however, I'm sure enough of my pick that I didn't have to think hard about it.

Definately gonna take Sanchez on a bet.
---

As far as the Bocek/Evans fight is concerned...

I took Evans because he was better IMO in his last fight and had a better showing then did Bocek.

Both got KO'd against 2 very good LW opponents.

I'm not sure who I'm on yet in the Chuckie Wand fight but I'll say this. Chuck struggles with Rampage because Rampage is the one guy that can and will take him down but can also stand with him. It's a lot different when you're a striker and you have to worry about the take down against another good striker in Ramp. Ramp took him down over and over in Pride and that was something Chuck had to watch for. Versus Wany he won't have to worry about it. The one thing in this fight that I can't wait to see is if Wany can get inside and clinch with Chuck. You really never see Chuck in a clinch so Wandy's Muay Thai clinch will be interesting to watch. To be honest I think the line is right and it's a toss up. I'm leaning slightly to Chuck becuase outside of one punch from Rampage he's not been ko'd like Wandy has.(I should say as of late since Ramp did it before and so did Randy) Wandy may bounce back but that's the only weakness I see.

I wonder if someone asked Chuck if he loses were does he goes from here. If he even hints at retirement then he is finished.

I watched a Chuck interview on ESPn last night. When asked about his next move if he lost, Chuck said he would get right back to it.

Even though Silva has an good chin, and his conditioning seems to exceed Liddel's, I think you're on the right side here....

I pointed that out in my last post (about the espn interview} but now i see one of the guys saying Wandy is training with Randy? Im just gonna enjoy the fight and bag betting on it. I think unlike other camps Randy has his guy do a lot of film work which i feel is a must. I remember Koschek say before his fight with GSP, that he didn't do any film work because he didn't need it. You think like that you deserve to lose.
Hey Bucks here is my problem with betting the MMA fights. Im so use to winning and losing in other sports it really doesn't bother me anymore. With MMA and Layingwood pointed this out also, betting on them kinda ruins it for me because i find myself looking at the clock a lot and my chest pumping when a guy even gets close to my guy with a submission. That stuff use to happen to me (betting sports) twenty years ago. To me its hard to be a fan and a wagerer on this sport and then trying to enjoy it. I think i will play the part of a fan tomorrow night.

He TRAINED with Randy for a little bit. He no longer is doing that. He came to the states to startup his own camp.

As far as the betting, you're right. I still love the sport whether I lose the bet or not. I just love fighting, simply put.

As far as the KO's that Wanderlei has taken...

I don't think Chuck has faced NEAR the competition that Wandy has.

Bucs, I've always thought Pride had better fighters than the UFC but to say Chuck hasn't faced the near the competition is correct. I'm pretty sure Randy is a good fighter and like it or not Tito has been in some wars and won as has Babalu.

This is a tough call and like Sponge I'll sit on the sidelines so I can yell like hell for both of them to pound it out. Hopefully we won't get a one punch ko, I would love to see a 2 or 3 round fight with both fighters getting hit big and coming back big.

Lay i aint doing any play by play either. Im gonna sit in my big fat recliner, with what could be my last case of beer for awhile, my little dug by my side, and hopefully nobody over (which will be impossible) I think it is your turn to do the play by play. If you want we can rock, paper, scissor for it so just send me an email and i will reply. On second thought who has the least amount of post Bucks or Weepaul? Maybe we go seniority rights rules here.

LOL. I will do a play by play if you want but it won't be the greatest as my fat arse will need to run up and down the stairs from the TV to the computer.

Chuck Liddell (+116) over Wanderlei Silva-medium

My confidence on this one is wavering, but I think Chuck's reach advantage and counterpunching will get him the win.

Rich Clementi (+191) over Melvin Guillard-small

He's durable and a better grappler. Moreover, Melvin makes many mistakes.

Roan Carneiro (-130) over Tony DeSouza-medium

Better wrestler and grappler. Neither have good standup.

Georges St-Pierre (-230) over Matt Hughes-large

He's just better.

I have heard from a number of forums that Clementi has subbed Melvin a couple of times in sub wrestling comps and KO'd him once in a kickboxing match.
I did hear Clementi talking about KO'ing Melvin in kickboxing.

For what it's worth.

I like the clementi bet. He was only knocked out once and that was on cuts and even if half of these stories a true he should have a fair chance of submitting Melvin. Same as boxing : guys with impressive muscular build get an odds advantage.
I probably would tend to Clementi at even money.
What about the under in the Machida fight plus 155 under 2 30 round two. I like it. A little bit of s hedge since i like Machida straight and i believe the longer the fight goes the better for Machida.
But all in all i dont get the odds on Clementi. Thats the one bet that stands. Lots of ways to win for the supposed underdog and a punchers chance for the so called favorite.
That all is coming from a boxing guy so take it with caution.

"the bunker"
guess i`d better throw something out there...everybody else has manned up....

i`ll go with chuck...even though i think it can go either way....small +115 and small inside the distance at +173....i hear couture`s on wandy....of course he trained with him and i think couture`s a tad envious of the way liddell jack-slapped him the last 2 times...had to hurt his pride a bit...

curious to see if wanderlei fights like wanderlei...or he fights chuck`s fight...normally,in boxing, an aggressive guy is tailor-made for a counter puncher...i don`t think that`s the case with chuck...i think guys that press and wear him down are his wolfsbane... he loves that slow pace.....that`s why i was so disappointed when sobral got caught early...he was aggressive, but out of control aggressive....he had the right idea, but the moment got away from him....

nobody was more shocked than me when mediocre keith jardine beat chuck at his own game...that`s worrisome...shows chuck`s slipping...but,jardine did whack forrest griffin,so,i guess it`s not so shocking....

i like the weird rationale that i`ve seen on some boards ..the one that says,"rampage beat chuck twice, and silva beat rampage twice so silva will beat chuck"...... bizarro logic......styles make fights,period..

small bets..chuck`s almost 40...and he`s not the same old chuck....but,silva`s been pretty inactive ...and he`s been ktfo brutally twice in a row.....so,maybe he`ll be a tad reluctant....that`s what i`m hoping...

i feel very uncomfortable with this wager.....please,nobody go with chuck on my recommendation.....

i do like gsp,though...i think hughes` best days are far behind him...i don`t like highes` stand-up....he doesn`t have serra`s punching power(serra really sells out when he punches...watch him next time...he goes for it).....hughes HAS to take gsp down,g&p him or get another lucky sub.....gsp has to many weapons,imo...

i like gsp here...especially coming off the serra loss....

i`ll ride with the clementi backers at +185...i think the longer this goes, the better chance we have with clementi...i also think that guys that can hang early with guilliard discourage him...

but,he`s sooo superior athletically..has so much "burst" early in fights that he`s scary dangerous while he`s fresh.....

i think he`ll get clementi, but i`ll ride with the doggie backers...if he can hang early, clementi has an outside chance...

and i like neanderthal looking dean lister in some parlays...like with gsp...
the machida/soudjoukou fight is interesting...

looks like either soudjoukou early or machida late...so you could maybe finagle machida -110 and under 2.5 at +150 into some kind of hedge...i lean machida...small....another toughie...

maybe small on eddie sanchez...

i`m basically going with most in the forum...everything is small because i don`t feel very strongly wagering on this card...even though it`s a solid card...
