Go try and wrestle someone with one hand especially Penns caliber. You' 'lll be on your back catching elbows the first time you try to grab the guy. At least on your feet you can move around and try to avoid being hit. Neither way you are gonna win but standing you might be able to leave in one piece. On the ground threr is no way to save your hand. You wouldn't have a pray on the ground.

the idea`s to win....all sherk got for doing the stupid thing was a beatdown....

you can`t punch with your right hand,so you decide to stand up and punch?...witha better puncher?...

the proof was right in front of our eyes...

it was like mugsy bogues posting shaq up in the paint...it ain`t working...

Typically, when you break a bone during the fight, and it's of a magnitude that you're unable to effectively do anything, you're going to lose either way.

Now, with that being said, there are cases when fighters do break something but are still able to effectively use those parts.

There was no doubt in my mind that BJ would win that fight. I actually picked it exacto.

Here were my results for ufc84(my ABSOLUTE best ever).

What I predicted is next to the fighters.

Penn/Sherk- Penn via KO/TKO rd2
Machida/Ortiz- Machida via split decision
Silva/Jardine- Silva via KO/TKO rd 1
Gouveia/Reljic- Gouveia sub/tap
Salaverry/Palhares- Salaverry ko/tko rd 1
Kim/Tan- Kim via ko/tko rd 1
Soko/Naka- soko via ko/tko rd 2
Silva/Mendes- silva via ko/tko rd 1
Carwin/Wellisch- Carwin via ko/tko rd 2
Yoshida/Koppen- yoshida via ko/tko rd 1
Clementi/Etim- clementi via sub/tap rd 2

After seeing I picked Gouveia, I don't know what the **** I was thinking.

I parlayed Penn/Silva/Machida
risked $700 to win $1,591
*I wanted to parlay Thiago, but simply forgot, and went on vacation to my condo this weekend with the woman.

As far as the fights themselves, I won a total of $410 on them.

Lay i have to disagree about Tito. He gave his all and it has to be totally frustrating to fight a guy like that. I don't know how they can give Machida all three rounds when if it wasn't for Tito there wouldn't even have been a fight. machida is a talent i know that for sure but nobody wants to watch a fighter like that. He is the type that if he could land a punch early he might run the rest of the night. He picks his spots so carefully he could go a round without doing anything at all. Im no fan of Tito's what so ever but there really wasn't much he could have done in that fight. tito to me is just a bull with limited speed. Maybe shamrock will fight a third fight with him:mj07:

It's just a little taste of his own medicene. Watch the Tito vs Wandy fight. Tito did nothing the whole fight but take Wandy down a couple times. When he did, he did absolutely no work and no damage. He layed and prayed his way to a victory.

IMO, Tito sucks, has always been overrated, and deserved to lose the way he did.

KARMA's a bitch.

Anyone see the payouts for this fight:
http://mmajunkie.com/news/4432/ufc-84-fighters-salaries-payroll-tops-a-million-bucks.mma

Jardine gets $10K base. WOW. Sherk only $35K.
Also losses money on insurance, license, and taxes.
That is pathetic. I am sure they get nice bonus pay from appearances and sponsors, but 10K to get beat down is sad.Clementi got 40K($20K for fighting and $20K for winning). Not sure who Jardines agent is,but he should seek a new rep.
