Prop Bet 22-17
Fighter vs. Fighter 113-173
Parlays 53-73

+21.49 Joe Rogans

Chael Sonnen beat Demian Maia $3.25 (+225) *1.5 Joe Rogans

Joe Stevenson beat Diego Sanchez $3.25 (+225) *1.5 Joe Rogans

I took these now because I think these dogs will get some more love as Feb 21st draws near. Why both these guys are such big dogs is beyond me. I think one of these doggies will win. Sonnen is no joke, and Stevenson is also one tough dude. Sure both guys could lose, but taking these two doggies I think is a solid play. Plus I don't think these two will be as big dogs by fight day:)

Oh and Diego is an asshole, so never a bad play to go against him:SIB

kick, have you seen the new Diego video up on UFC.com? He just insults Stevenson the whole time. :mj07:

I am really looking forward to this card.. I like to watch Koscheck and Maia is one of my favorites... overall a good card for being free on Spike! Marquardt/Gouveia is a great matchup along with Maia/Sonnen.

Sonnen's submission defense is questionable and he's never seen someone even half as good as Maia is on the ground. That said, I think Chael is too big of an underdog in this fight and i've already put a little dough on him as well. He is an intelligent fighter who comes well-prepared and well-aware of his opponents strengths. If he can keep this fight off the ground (something none of Maia's opponents have been able to do) then he can WIN THIS FIGHT.

Maia rolls in this one. I still think his bjj is the slickest in MMA. Good card.

I never ever thought I would say this but I'm starting to like Kos. He doesn't mind fighting a lot, which I like, and I'll never foget the fact that he stepped up on short notice for the fight with Alves. I use to hate him more than any other fighter but he's earned some respect from me.

why do people think stevenson is so good?...cause he`s gotten lucky and guillotined a few guys he normally wouldn`t beat?...cause he out-wrestled pellegrino?...

he`s never beaten an "elite" fighter.....and imo,a bigger, faster, stronger, lefty sanchez is awfully close to an elite fighter...

2 losses...both at 170...to koscheck...and via split to fitch...

wins over 170 pounders parysian/diaz/florian/alessio and jorge santiago.....

your only hope is that sanchez can`t make the cut...

stevenson has been exposed of late...he`s a kotc elite fighter...not a ufc elite fighter...

we heard the same stuff before florian...this stevenson thing has me baffled...

I'm excited to see Diego at 155. If he can make the cut without losing too much explosiveness then he will be a force. He wasn't super tight at 170 so he may look really good at 155.

he looked out-sized vs fitch....he admitted as much.....

like him personally or not,he`s a complete fighter...and i think the prospect of sanchez finally being the bigger, stronger guy is scary...

we saw what florian did to stevenson...and if you remember, sanchez gave florian a beating....

maybe joe lucks into another guillotine...that`s what it`s gonna take...

/i have so much riding on sanchez,i probably won`t watch it...lol

i agree joe is a low level 155er and i'll go a step further and say joe didn't outwrestle pellegrino. i had money on pellegrino that night and was dumbfounded when joe was given 30-27 scores. that fight was bloody close.

diego doesn't have any conspicuous flaws that worry me against joe. wish i got on him earlier though, -300 is upsetting.

gouveia is talented but inconsistant, that combo will probably keep me away from the fight entirely.

glad you agree muhr...if i`m going down the crapper,it somehow lessens the pain when you take a solid capper with you...:toast:

and after seeing goveia and maia on the spike ufc show tonight,i feel a little less trepidation about my initial instinct on marquardt....and may even take a small shot with generous dog chael sonnen...

i had forgotten that ed herman gave maia a fit....i expect sonnen to employ his paulo filho strategy and avoid the ground at all costs....

sadly, almost all of sonnen`s losses have been via submission...

it goes to the ground and he`s through...

Media Call with Joe Daddy and Diego. Sanchez says he has dropped 30 pounds since Xmas and it is a real struggle.

I think he will win this fight, but I gotta wonder how difficult this on his body.

also, talks about training with Joey Gilbert, who is fighting Jesse Brinkley in Reno Saturday.

Yea, i've been very close to making a medium size play on Diego, but the weight worries me........ he said he's eating around 1200 calories a day!? He's bound to lose some strength/mass only eating that much and training 2-3 times a day...... that's not much at all for a pro athlete.

And this fight is really important to STevenson's career..

Diego will probably be fine, the kid has cardio for days... i definitely expect him to win, but not in dramatic fashion like the Penn and Florian victories

Wow, I'm ready to follow GW on this one and lay down big on Diego. I like where he is weight wise and that was my only concern. Diego is on another level when it comes to fighting(IMO). I'm liking it GW, I'm liking it a lot.

Diego will be a very tough challenge for Stevenson. Stevenson typically struggles against fighters who aren't afraid to push the pace and go right after him. The only thing that would scare me is that Stevenson has his fair share of lucky wins via that damn guillotine.

i`m back where i was pre-dlh(almost)...at that point(with xmas coming)i had planned to make a nice little christmas withdrawal thanks to the fruit of oscar`s labors...

needless to say,it didn`t happen....

i`ll either be making a withdrawal come monday or i`ll be back in the shitter digging myself out of another hole thanks to another fine mexican american gladiator screwing the pooch....

diego...when 4:30/5 pm eastern rolls around on saturday afternoon...as i`m watching the fight updates at mma weekly or sherdog and waiting for the tape delay to show on spike that evening,,i sincerely hope i`ll be counting my withdrawal money....not changing my soiled nappy..... :mj09:
