Update 2009 record
8-1 +14.91 units

Hamill 4.65 to win 3units
Gonzaga .8 to win .5 unit
Rampage 3.01 to win 1 unit

I'm hoping and praying Hamill is smart here and is really wanting to win the fight. If he does then this will be an easy victory. Take him down Matt, gnp baby you can't stand with these guys that are good with their hands.

I think Rampage is the best LHW champ with maybe Machida as well. I don't see him losing to anyone outside of maybe Machida.

Gonzaga is a flyer for me but I'll take my chance.

Vera/Sell/Grove Parlay.
I think 170 is a good weight for Sell. Grove needs to tuck that China chin.

Vera/Jardine Parlay.
Jardine could cripple Rampage with leg kicks OR he could get dummied in 10 seconds.

Vera/Munoz Parlay.
This is the first time Hammil is facing someone who is just as good at wrestling. It will be interesting to see Hammil on his back for a change.

Miller to beat Maynard.
I am betting on Millers subs and workrate. Maynard seemed to gas against Diaz.
I think Maynard might score 10 takedowns and Miller will be dangerous during sub attempts and scrambles.
I also think at some point Miller might get the takedown and then Maynard is in deep shit.

Of course if Vera loses, I am in deep shit but I just don't see it.

Good luck all :toast: :toast: :toast:

like all the plays..... as far as Jackson/Jardine goes, you said it best; either a quick KO or a possible upset.

Munoz may surprise some people.. he's been training with Vera, and Vera has had good things to say about him and his wrestling.. Said Munoz is a beast and definitely expects him to win, so that fight could get interesting even though it may well turn into a snoozefest entertainment-wise.

Miller is tempting.. will be a last minute decision... Maynard is just so damn strong, but he'll definitely have to stay awake in Miller's guard.

not much consensus.

i'm liking quinton on account that jardine has no ability to keep his opponents at bay. that works against non-aggressive guys like vera (who i still think beat jardine), but it doesn't work against aggression.

also, hamill due to munoz's lack of experience and from what i saw his mma wrestling doesn't yet match his credentials. his standup looked worse than hamill's as well.

maynard due to strength and power. i thought endurance would be a a problem for maynard against edgar, a workhorse, but it wasn't a problem, so i don't expect it will be here.

and carwin, for what i already posted.

No Fukin doubt!!!

I hate Fukers that wear shades in regards to fighting.

I have a bet on Grove but he is used to the room being dark
:mj07:

I was thinking of betting Gonzaga but I wanted to see his weight.
He might win BUT HE IS TOO BIG!!!
He should be in the 240's NOT 257 :nono:

One other note about the weigh in

Vera looked tight this time, the last couple of fights he looked like he had cut the weight but wasn't in shape. I thought today he looked like he was in very good shape with more LBM and less body fat.

Might have to throw him in a parlay or two.

careful..... Vera is not to be trusted. :nono: rawli has had bad experiences betting Vera.

oh, and Patt knows how to win fights, i'll definitely give him that. not a good UFC showing in his first fight, but good overall.

"It's going to be a great fight," Jardine told event emcee Joe Rogan after weighing in. "Two guys are going to go out there and try and claim the center of the octagon. One guy is going to last. One guy's not."

This is Jardine's downfall..... yes he has a glass jaw, but his major weakness is his ego. He just HAS to go out there and trade punches with some of the hardest hitters in the sport.

STUPID.... ONE DUMB SON OF A BITCH IF HE TRADES WITH RAMPAGE.

"the bunker"
jardine will be moving like his arse is on fire...he may look like the dude from "the hills have eyes",but he reportedly is smarter than he looks...

he stands with rampage i`ll have one big shit eating grin on my face as i cash my parlay...

he`s gonna move, leg kick and try an occasional head kick....

he tends to slap with his punches(doing that chimpanzee schtick) so he`ll either have to get lucky with a kick or run around and decision rampage...

i guess that could happen...rampage isn`t exactly fleet of foot...

he`ll be on his bicycle...pretty sure of that....

and why patt is fighting vera,i have no clue...this is a mis-match on paper(as the odds would indicate)....i can`t think of any advantage patt has over vera....

looks to me like the ufc would like to prop vera up at 205...
