after seeing what jardine is doing here my confidence that machida would thoroughly embarass quinton is increased greatly.

quinton probably won by 2 or 3 points, but jardine is a 3rd rate machida. if quinton beats rashad he'll definately lose to machida.

Rampage better stick true to his words of "I'm going to be 100x better than I was tonight," because if you don't, you'll lose.

So sickening how Dana babies some guys.

Well handicapping Page and Rashad....

I've lost three very big bets going against Rashad, well one was the draw vs Tito but still it's more money lost because of him than I will lose all this year.

Rampage won't be able to take him down and if he does he won't keep Rashad down. Before tonight and Rashad's last fight I would say Page could out box him but I don't know if he can now. This will be a very interesting fight.

i agree...i think rampage has become one dimensional...in pride he wrestled and used his strength more....

rashad`s probably better on the ground...quicker...more well rounded...

and quentin`s cardio is shaky....

curious to see a line...

i think we`re seeing a changing of the guard with machida and rashad...

boetsch won the first round....and then it looked like he gave up....his striking was limp after the 1st...and he didn`t even really try to fend off the takedowns....

i thought he was a real tough guy...:nooo:

Thoughts on UFC 96:

Got to see every fight on the PPV, now ya gotta love that:cool:

Had some great quotes, had to love Rampage with "Gonna be some more black on black crime" and Rashad with "Gonna dig in that ass". Good stuff I tell ya, good stuff:mj07:

Had to love the after fight interview with Tamden McCrory, that was some funny stuff.

Yes, Jason Day lost, and I was wrong with that pick, but Grove is a dipshit. Another dick from the Penn camp, Penn is a prick and Grove fits right along with him. Doing that "grave digger" shit right in the face of Day's corner is classless. I love antics, but there is no bad blood between those two camps so why do that shit:nono: Grove was done if he lost, why pull that crap, win some more fights before ya think your "the shit". Go back to Hawaii with that asshole Penn and never come back....Grove can lick elephant anus.

Why don't more guys use leg kicks...I mean they work...why are so many fighters so dumb....use the leg kicks for fucks sake.

Carwin will get exposed his next fight, count on that. Gonzaga ain't really that good. Don't get me wrong, it was a great win for Carwin, but he loses if he fights Brock Lesnar, Randy Couture, Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, Frank Mir, Cheick Kongo, Cain Velasquez and yes Junior dos Santos. I'd take all those UFC dudes over Carwin. But props to Carwin, good win.

Ya have to love Yves Lavigne, best ref by far, he never stops a fight early, love that guy.

Hamill ain't a top 20 fighter in the division, but I gotta give props to him, great KO...wow:scared

The Quinton/Rashad fight should provide some good press conferences, some good one liners for sure:cool:

For all the complaining....this was a good card:SIB

I have to disagree with you on the Carwin section. What exactly does the guy have to do to impress you? In 69 seconds, I saw him get rocked to the ground, survive with Gabe Gonzaga on top of him, stand back up, and knock his opponent out without stepping into the effing punch! His fists are like cinder blocks. I was doubtful he could be as effective against big names, but I was dead wrong. I would bet him as a dog agaist anyone you listed above, anyone. All morning long I've been thinking about how this is the guy that can beat Lesnar and defend. He's going to get better, a lot better, and those sledgehammers for fists aren't going any where. He has one thing that really hurts him, and that it his age. At 34, he needs to get some fights in, and quickly.

I totally agree with you on this being a good card. I ended up getting the PPV afterall (local blackout for 30 miles at the bars) and was very happy with what I got for my money:toast:.

Updated record for 2009

10-2 +18.11

I think Rashad will be an underdog and if he is then for the first time ever I will be on him. I can't see any areas where Page is better than him. The only thing that will worry me about betting on Rashad is that he doesn't throw a ton of punches and has been losing the last few fights before landing the big one. At some point that will catch up with him.
