- I know a lot of people on here like Luiz Cane, but i thought he was getting his ass handed to him by Sokoudjou until Sok gassed and folded (as usual). Cantwell will be a tough test for him, and if size doesnt play a role (i think Cane is a good bit bigger) i think Cantwell will light Cane up.

- Loiseau trains w/ GSP :))), and Ed Herman never gets better. Herman has been doing the same shit in training for about 25 years now, i think. Love odds on "The Crow," and great to see him back in the UFC. :SIB

- Umm, as for Shogun..... i'm going to need to see a receipt to prove that he has bought himself a treadmill. Until then, i wont lead myself to believe he has what it takes to make waves against the UFC's 205ers.

Liddell has been working on his striking defense, as well as polishing his wrestling, at American Top Team for what seems like 6 months now. Dude is hungry for a win, and Shogun doesnt have the power (or conditioning) to break him.

- I've made it clear, in past threads, that (IMO) Leites is a good value bet. Now, knowing that Anderson has been training with BJJ aces Galvao and Jacare, i think Leites' chance of a submission win is less likely... but i still like a small play on Leites at anything +400 or better.

Joe Rogan said just the other day that Anderson gets submitted by other Noguiera students pretty regularly, so i dont see why a Nova Uniao black belt wouldnt have a chance to sub him...?

Thanks for the warning, GW, but i see Cane as overrated. Of course, there is roughly a 92% chance that rawli is dead wrong. :142smilie

Cane was getting beaten handily by Sokoudjou until Sok blew his load... but maybe that was Cane's gameplan (to attack in the later rounds). Is Cane that smart? Guess i'll jump in head first and find out the hard way....

Agreed great to see "the crow" back. He has never been the same since that 5 round battle with Franklin. He will beat Herman. Back in UFC, and fighting in hometown and GSP in his corner. Can you say win:SIB

Oh and I love Cane.

not playing contrarian...just trying to get some info out there(i finally got the chance to watch some video,so,now i know everything:142smilie) ...

check out how futile leites` takedowns were vs kampmann...and how gassed he was vs martin...

if leites takes silva down and subs him, then it truly is the end of the world...

http://ballhype.com/video/ufc_fight_night_4_martin_kampmann_vs_thales_leites/

he got his ass handed to him..imagine with silva`s height and stand-up what`s gonna happen to leites...

Just arguing my case. I like the big odds.

For those who wanna bet Silva and give the bookies 5-to-1 odds, more power to ya.

honestly,i wouldn`t lay 5-1 on the sun rising in the east.....but i do have silva as the kicker in(don`t laugh) 7 parlays......and luiz cane in several others...

one of us will be happy....

g.l. on the other plays...:toast:

WEll, i just watched the 1st rd of Cane/Sokoudjou, and the fight is a lot closer than i remembered.

Still, Cane looks pretty slow and telegraphs a lot of his shots.... also looks like somewhat of an easy target, very little head movement/angles...

I've seen Cane's workout regimen and no doubt the dude comes in shape, but i still lean Cantwell. His kickboxing is very good, IMO, and he can win by points if he's able to absorb Cane's power shots.

Wow, I'm really starting to dread this night. I love Chuck and would love to see him get another shot at the title but Shogun is my favorite fighter. Whoever loses this is screwed with Chuck being really screwed and Shogun still having a small chance. When I first saw the line I thought I would be hammering Shogun but after really thinking about it I'm thinking Chuck kicks Shogun's ass. Shogun won't be able to take him down and his boxing is too sloppy. Chuck will get a too many easy shots at Shoguns chin and we all know not many people can take those hits. Shogun has a great chin but I don't think he can take one to the chin from Chuck and make it out of the ring a winner. UGH, this sucks.

Silva losing? LOL the only chance he loses is if he decides to place bets against himself and he throws it. Leites doesn't deserve a shot, he's getting it because Nate screwed up in their fight and had too many points taken away.

Raw, you know there's a BIG difference in subbing someone in BJJ class than there is with someone being able to hit or elbow you. The students may sub him here and there but they're not getting hit while trying. I will consider this the biggest upset in a championship fight ever. And yes Kick, even when GSP lost to Serra.

GSP lost to Serra? Nahh that didn't happen.

And layin.....Rua will make Lutter look like a tri-athlete during this fight. Chuck is on his way down, but he will beat the second most over-hyped fighter in MMA. Rua will lose. I mean the guy has the cardio of Betty White for fucks sake. After this fight Rua will go fight Kimbo at the nearest Quiznos parking lot.

kickserv loves underdogs, but he's all over the faves Anderson and Chuck. All over it like a fat kid on a twizzler.

Note: kickserv likes lots of faves on this card:scared

Oh and the easiest pick is the "over 9 pussies" for GSP.

Thales Leites couldn't beat Anderson Silva on Anderson's worst day. This is going to be like "bully beatdown."

I'm getting this in now. I don't know if it will move but I like the line where it is. If this fight stays standing(which I think it will) Hardonk has a great chance of winning.

2009 record 11-2 +23.11 units

Hardonk +235 .5unit
Macdonald -110 .5unit

More to come. Trying to figure out how many and who all to place in parlays with the Spider.

gee,i actually thought that cane fought an amazingly smart fight vs soudjoukou....

who in their right mind wants to stand and trade recklessly with this beast early in a fight?....lil nog and arona learned the hard way......

cane stayed away early...never really got caught with anything...he bided his time with some well placed punches and kicks...and waited for soudjoukou to tire.....

then dropped a bizzle on his arse.....
