KIck what ya got for me on this Al Turk character?
He can get fights to the ground. Thats good enough for me.

I will say this, it would not surprise me in the least to see Al Turk get DQ'd.
Every fight I have seen him win by ground and pound, are with punches to the back of the head. They don't seem to give 2 shits about it in Britain but it won't fly in the UFC.

I hate Nog's weight for the Mir fight. He is too heavy.

i agree with nog`s weight.....that`s not stopping me,though...

every fight that mir has lost has been via stoppage....i wonder if taking nog inside isn`t the way to go.....5 long rounds....if mir can`t sub nog early,i`m not sure he has 5 hard rounds in him...

watched this guy fighting hardonk on youtube...his opposition was absolutely ridiculous....he`s a raw, short fireplug of a guy that likes to take guys down and g+p them....

doesn`t look to me like he can handle a striker like hardonk....i mean,i`m not laying the wood, but hardonk might be parlay material...

massenzio seems to be the sexy underdog pick...everybody...i mean everybody`s on him....which may force me to use dollaway in a par....

don`t know a thing about al-turk...can`t even pull him up on fight finder...

okami and pat barry look like parlay nmaterial to me...because lister, although a great jiu jitsu guy,is totally one dimensional...and evenson is basically a pug...

small on jackson...small on griffin at -120...

it`s really all about nog....we`re basically betting he`s not shot...because on their best days, nog destroys mir....

GW.........Mike Wessel would be good underdog pick, but I didn't play him because he's only had 12 days to prepare. Antoni Hardonk will most likely win, but if Wessel had more time I'd be going with Mike.

Oh and if Mir wins, the planet may stop turning, I think dawg and kickserv and one guy in Uganda are on Mir...that's it:mj07:

I really do think the best play in the nog fight is fight won't go the 5 round distance...that's a long time !

totally agree with you on okami and barry....parlaying the two of them looks like a solid play

guess i'm one of those taking the sexy massenzio dog play...but i really do think he's going to win...

i'm getting a little worried about my hamill-barry parlay...probably should have gone with okami-barry instead....hopefully the deaf kid doesn't let me down....we shall soon see....

good luck all

griffin -130

posted my reasons earlier.

jackson +114

apparently he wants to make this a ground fight and that favors him imo.

okami -350

lister has terrible wrestling and striking, moreover his subs haven't translated well to mma.

i'm thinking about al turk. kongo has bad defensive wrestling, so him planted on his back through out the fight is possible.

lotta talk about nog being "old" and about him coming in heavy....

it`s scaring me a bit...i have nog in some pars and won`t lose a ton if he folds.....i won`t be happy, but it won`t be an "oscar" level catastrophe.....had him with florian at even odds and with florian/dan miller and anderson silva getting 2-1.....

so i`m leaving it alone...mir`s never been a great striker...or had great cardio....if he`s the first guy to ever sub nog, then so be it....

i was a fan of lister`s in pride, but he really hasn`t done much in the ufc...

i can`t wager on or against a guy named wessel...or al-turk....i`m done wagering blind...

maybe a small throwaway parlay on a dollaway/barry(barry has an impressive rep)....

noggie boy......don`t lose to this poser who has never beaten anyone that knows a damn thing about jiu jitsu...mir`s victims have truely been a testament to mediocrity...aside from the lucky sub on novice lesnar(the perfect match-up to give mir a longshot chance at winning)...

if nog loses here,it`s over... if a guy that`s been a jiu jitsu champ in the world`s cradle of jiu jitsu since he was a teenager loses to a guy like mir...who only has jiu jitsu and has never really beaten a decent jiu jitsu guy...then,take my money....

also caught griffin and jackson small as i indicated in a previous panel...

Bham, Al
Baileys is a great place for any event. Watched the Ala/TN game there this year. That pretzel sandwich they serve is fire. I'm envious Dawg. I'm about 3 hours south...

i've read quite a few forums and write-ups, and smart plays seem to be on hardonk, barry, al turk. this is the only forum that's high on massenzio, as far ive noticed.

im on all 4. i might also put some on nogueira, he's a popular pick too.

i dont know anything about these guys, just forwarding what other smart players are saying.

Great price in my opinion.....though Kongo has improved on the ground, he is still horrific. Al-Turk should be able to get him on the ground. If he just lays on him he should win. Kongo is good on his feet but horrific on the ground. Also, Al-Turk is one tough dude, I think he might even be able to handle the massive power of Kongo. This will most likely be a boring fight (if Kongo doesn't knock him out early) but taking the big dog Mustapha seems like the smart play.

Bottom line....if Kongo doesn't knock him out early I think Mustapha gets the win:SIB

Oh and Griffin and Jackson baby......:firing: :firing:

Kick u sure this guys nickname isnt Al Turkey? Don't want to get plucked here.

can i get some advice on evans/forrest props? id like to put a small wager on it, but don't know it well enough to cap it. here are the props:

griffin dec: +350
griffin ko: +400
griffin sub: +300

evans ko: +550
evans sub: +450
evans dec: +550

what do you think the likely outcome is? the lines to jump out at me were evans ko and griffin decision.
