On another note anyone see Baroni's big win yesterday  all this new talk about his new training and living at AKA and he still gas after a round and a half. I think that might have been the least amount of energy i ever saw him use :mj07: and the stiff he fought could do nothing about it.

Yea i saw that, I don't know how you can all of a sudden develop cardio after one training camp.

I don't even think Baroni is taking his training or his career seriously, he is just trying to cash in on his name while he still can.

I took a sht with Nolte (lol) I figured baroni would gas and he did, but like you said the guy couldn't do anything with it. baroni could take a punch, I though he was going to KO'd for sure in the 1st and 3rd rounds.

He said the reason he gassed was because of a knee earlier which could have been the case cause he got hit with a few of them but man I never saw a guy gas so easily in my life. This Nolte kid did nothing from the bottom. Almost like it was staged. Baroni wasn't doing anything special on top. Those punches Baroni was throwing when he was on top, wouldn't have hurt a two year old. All Nolte had to do was try one sweep but he laid their like a complete dope while Baroni laid on top of him like he was covering a grenade. :0002 Nice stand up from the ref also. He just let Baronie lay there most of the fight. Shame u lost the bet. I know it wasn't much but this kid was a joke fighting on the bottom.

Johnson over Sadollah

I was going to lay off this fight but watching Baroni made less impressed with Sadalloh's win over him, yeah he put on a clinic but baroni was just like a walking punching bag. That 9and the blackburn fight were the only really impressive wins).

he hasn't been able to really finish anyone and has looked susceptible at times to weaker strikers than johnson.

The only time his chin was really tested was in the hendricks fight and if that was a legit stoppage his chin is suspect.

Johnson took this fight on short notice, and I think that he is confident in the fact that he can beat Sadollah, which counts for a lot.

I know he didn't have the full training camp, but if you are in shape, why need extra trainng to face a one dimensional fighter.

Sadollah has faced relatively easy competition (striking wise) and the only time he has really been in trouble he got finished.

Bruce leroy over Semerzier

Here are some non conspiracy related theories as to why Bruce leroy can win

Semerzier has basically the same wrestling skills as micheal johnson but is a lot lighter. I dont think he will be able to control leroy on the ground and keep him down. Leroy is also really active from his back from what Ive seen and threw up numerous triangles.

Here is an article about his training http://www.fighthype.com/pages/content9587.html

All of leroys opponents so far have tried to clinch and then take it to the ground, probably to avoid the standup. He dealt with this really sloppy on the show but that was like a year ago and he has prepped for the fight at gsp's camp which focuses on just that. plus the guys on the TUF show were a lot bigger than mackens.

Leroy is going to let his hands go, he wasn't afraid to get hit on the show either. Semenzier has absolutely no KO power in his hands or knees. He connected directly with a knee to cub swanson and couldnt knock him out.

The only fights Semenzier has finished were by trinagle. he has a wicked triangle but I dont think he will be in the position to use it against leroy, as he more than likely wants to keep it standing.

I dont think Semenziers wants to make this a lay and pray fight, because he lost three straight and usually you would be gone but that fight with swanson was great and merited another chance. I dont think a cheesy win over leroy is going to impress anyone.

I think Davis by decision might be overthinking it a bit

Davis has said in several interviews he will do everything in his power to finish the fight

He is showing an ever-improving submission game

Nog is notoriously difficult to finish, but I got a sneaky feeling he might get choked out

In any case, I would rather parlay Davis or lay the straight price on him - I say its 50-50 how he wins this

could be..i have him in a straight par.....just thinking that nogueira has never been subbed....and phil only has 2 k.o.`s....nog did look a little stiff at the weigh-in,imo...those pride wars have taken a toll...

even given nogueira`s struggles with wrestlers, phil stops him i`ll be a bit surprised....i think he`ll be verry careful with lil nog on the ground..

on the other hand, imo, jones may feel the pressure of jones` domination over rua and may feekl the need to call his performance(keepin` up with the joneses:D )...

but who knows?...davis and jones are a whole new breed of mma fighter...

from a fan`s perspective,hardy/johnson and zombie/garcia have my interest...

i`m gonna put a play in on hardy in spite of his physical disadvantages.....he`s a pantload with his mouth, but i`m going on a gut here...

long layoff, massive weight cut and a tendency to slow drastically make me think that a tough guy with very good technical striking and mental toughness has a shot here..

if the entire focus of hardy`s camp wasn`t takedown defense, then i`ll be shocked...

johnson has all the physical talent and attributes of davis and jones.....he should win this on sheer physicality and talent....but,imo,something`s missing....

a small straight on arr-dee at +165...he could get dummied ala condit..but if he gets out of the first,i think it could get interesting...

just a hunch...

and i grabbed nog at+275 as a small hedge on my davis plays...i expect nog on his back for 15 minutes but this is a large step up...particularly standing up..
