72 Hole Matchups -

Gibson to beat Yokoo, 9/10 @ Betandwin
OK, Gibson isn't going to be challenging for the lead this week but he has been plodding along nicely on the Buy.com tour. By contrast Yokoo is having an absolute nightmare of a season, he hasn't broken par since March.

Austin to beat Jordan, 9/10 @Betandwin
After a torrid start to the season Woody is getting it together and has played the weekend the last three events. Pete Jordan has little going for him at the moment with a string of missed cuts and poor performances. Going with the in form guy.

Bjorn to beat McGinley, 10/11 @Luvbet
Have been opposing McGinley with some success this season and see little reason not to this week. Bjorn has played well all season with good performances in the States (12th at the Bellsouth and 18th at the Masters). McGinley has been struggling the last few weeks and he is a streaky player not currently on a streak.

Clarke to Beat Langer, 4/5 @Luvbet
Clarke has a good week last week and tends to keep form going well. Langer has been off form for much of this season - a missed cut in Germany and last week in the Buick do not bode well

Price to beat Weir, 9/10 @ Betandwin
I've said it before......Price is just amazing. He is the most consistent player in the world just now and it's been exactly a year (!) since he missed a cut. Playing his best golf for years. Love has shown signs of form this year but too many missed cuts to support.

DTB after reading your reply to me I was a little confused as I thought the only way to bet there on golf was to call them. I went back to their website and fooled around awhile and found out how to highlite the names and place a bet on the net. Guess you are never too old to be a dumbass.

:) I know a LOT about BOTH old and being dumbass LOL
I have never in my life phoned in a wager. If I had to do that I would not wager at all.To me on my token bets it is just a way to keep score.

Collating picks by others (since I am horrid at golf capping), here are my plays for the week

3x
Woods 2.75/1

2x
Toms 28/1
Singh 22/1
Goosen 25/1

1x
Furyk 33/1
Cink 60/1
Clarke 66/1
Garcia 22/1

Total of 13 units on outrights (using 1/4 of normal unit here). Will profit if any but Woods wins.

Also playing Kite +170 over Allenby in round 1 for 1 regular unit.

Good luck all - bear in mind that since I nearly won with Maritz four months ago I've not sniffed any cash

Was going to lay off Tiger in 1st round as I think his play there which is usually consevative and works against him will be assett here, however he busted 3wood last night which I deem more important than driver here and will have to play with new shaft today so will take a look one time.

Props @ 5dimes

don't worry Padraig, only playing with Tiger today!! I am not sure he is worried though. quote from his website:
Hi Padraig Harrington here - just a quick word as I'm off to bed after that experiance!
I just tried to stay patient all day yet again, played really well and managed to find most of the fairways which is key. Putted nicely and am looking forward to being out last on Saturday with Tiger. I've played with Tiger many times before and it's where all players want to be - in contention!

keep believing Padraig!

looking to back Allenby, as only time I can remember seeing him on tv coverage is when he is holding an umbrella...cannot see any ew betting worth taking though..

Now it's Padraig's turn as the point man with a job no one seems to want. Even a pugnacious fight for a full 36 holes, and evidence of valor among the remaining tribe when every instinct is telling them the cause is lost, will likely fall well short. But anything would be something.
