Check that. Sun really popped out in the last hour. This may prove very lucrative for the long knockers tomorrow. I will be very surprised if it rains today.

at the cut: Todays matches 5-2 72 holes 1-4
(counting doubles on Perry as 2 losses and Langer as 2 losses)
Todays matches
Perry/Allenby Loss/Loss
Lickliter/Coltart win
Love/Monty Win
Els/Monty win
Tigers under 68.5 win
Tiger-Duval u 68.5 parlay Win (as stated in post counting as single play @ +180)

72 holes
Clarke/Bjorn loss
Langer/Faxon loss/loss
Kite/Strange Win
Brown/Thelen loss
pending
Zinger/Monty 5up
Omera/Oly 6 up

Got a good bounce yesterday and 4 bads one today in 72 holes.Clarke bogies last hole to miss cut by 1-Oly birdies last to make cut by 1.Langer bogies 3 out of last 5 to miss cut by 1-Monty birdies 3 out of five to make cut.

Mid point review:Mixed feelings.Being I capped this from what appears so far to be a totally bogus standpoint(driving and majors performance)I quess I should be satisfied but I'm not.Losing both doubles was tough accounting for 4 of 6 losses so far.But I really liked them and would play it the same way.Feel worse about the all 4 swings in 72 holes going one direction.Have to take my hat off to monty with the no quit award.Going into last nine +4 and physically drained he musters up the courage to go out in 31.Thats whats champions are made of.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++=
oops forgot outrights and parlay.
Outrights only Zinger and Dimarco in striking range, both sitting in 11th.
5man parlay two home Duval and Roberts(tie)
Zinger and Omeara with fair leads and only trailer is Kendall by 2.Might do some hedging on last day depending on how they look then.

Update after the 2nd round:

Outrights

Duval -6 (5th)
Furyk -6 (5th)
Bjorn -2 (27th)
Di Marco -5 (11th)
Hoch -2 (27th)

Matchups

Furyk beat Lehman by 10 strokes
Langer lost to Faxon by 6 strokes
Taniguchi lost to Poulter by 4 strokes
Funk beat Frazar by 6 strokes

Damron bet lost as he made the cut.

Mixed results at the halfway stage with most of my outright plays well placed to challenge but the matchups went 2-3. Felt slightly unlucky with the matchups that lost. Taniguchi only needed 73 or better and shoots 78. Langer misses the cut by one stroke to eliminate any chance of a fightback. Damron makes the cut by one stroke when I didn't want him to. Should be an interesting weekend of golf coming up.

Mid-point update:

All six matchup plays are determined at the cut, leaving just one prop and the outrights alive until the weekend. The matchup plays finish 4-2-0 with the following scores: Howell/Gossett 5 up; Kite/Strange 8 up; Tanaka/Waite 15 down; Thelen/Brown 3 up; Katayama/Ozaki 20 up; Sowards/Pate 7 down. A decent return with just two one-unit plays losing.

The cut props finish 8-5-0 for a profit of 4.07 units, but it could have been in excess of 15 units had the cut line stayed at even par. It fluctuating between even par and one-over all evening, but wasn't to be. Damron and Olazabal make the cut on the mark at one-over, while Durant, Huston and O'Meara were the other losses.

The remaining prop, Woods to beat Duval in GIR and scoring remains alive though only just. The gutsy fightback from Woods to make the cut could yet inspire a close match. Finally, all three outright plays make the cut, but with Hoch and Price 2-under-par and Singh one-over, they will need a spectacular weekend to sustain any interest in them.

Wsex sure has some low totals up @ + odds?
Won't let you parlay em today however.

2 under shouldn't be that tough for these on course where even par was almost the cut.

adding totals @ WSEX
Toms U 68.5 +130
Mick U 67.5 +130
Furyk U 68.5 +115
Els U 68.5 +100
Duval U 67.5 +115

I'll take 3 out of 5 at those odds. They been busting these with room to spare and can't see weekend pins being much tougher as they have been playing away from water all week as is and 40% of afternoon showers would be a plus on most counts except for the rough.

3rd round results 5-3
Zinger/Fasth win by 3
Fasth/Huston win by 3
Kendall/Durant loss by 1
Toms under 68.5 win (65)
Mick under 67.5 win (66)
Duval under 67.5 win (67)
Els under 68.5 loss (70)
Furyk under 68.5 loss (71)
72 hole pending
Zinger/Monty up 10
Omeara/Oly up 4
Tway/Norman all square

Outrights Zinger&Calc in top 10,Dimarco top 15.Give me just one,prefferably Dimarco,right Ian.

Parlay (5man) discounting Monty, two legs left Omeara 4 up and Kendall and P Price all square. Will be tough finding hedge on a Kendall/P Price match but will look.

Got my wish on 3 out of 5 totals.Got HUGE break in Fasth/Huston match as Huston took a 7 on 17.AV must have threw some Aussie voodo on him.And what a horseshoe Katayama is packing.Believe Zinger missed enough birdies from 8ft and under to be leading.

Update after 3rd round:

Duval -9 (5th)
Furyk -5 (10th)
Bjorn +1 (50th)
Di Marco -4 (14th)
Hoch -3 (18th)

What was looking like a good day at one point ended up quite disappointing as most players dropped shots late in the round. Still some chance of a return tomorrow. Duval is close enough whilst Furyk Di Marco & Hoch might sneak a Top 5 finish with a low round.

Chances for rain today. Can't really find much else this morning.Might buy a contract of Duval @ $8. Lots of pressure on Toms and Mick for different reasons.Heard that Tiger and Butch had big flare up yesterday.LOL
