I really think Jack is playing great poker right now based on my conversations with him. He played 15 hours and only made 1 mistake. (virtually)

Yeah it cost him some chips but in a tourney like this, that shit will just happen no matter how great you play. It just shows how playing scared poker will never ever work. I wish when he decided not to play a hand he would have just gotten up from the table.

His attitude about it was good though and I think he will come back strong, hes just like that..

Ok guys, just had a good talk with Jack..

He played some great poker last night! He actually had his stack up over 40,000 at one point, when he had 77 and made a small raise from the button. The blinds called, and the flop was 5-6-7 :com: they checked it to Jack who made a stab and they both called, turn card was a 4 kurby everyone checked, and the river was a 5 for a board of 5-6-7-4-5 dance2 giving Jack 7s full. Now the BB bets 4,000 :sadwave: Jack went into the trap routine, thought forever and raised it to 8,000....the other guy thought for a while and then went all in and Jack called him instantly and doubled up when the guy showed 44 giving him 4s full :142smilie Very next hand he had KK and flopped a set but a bad board of A-K-J-?-10 slowed him way down even though he won the hand..

Shortly after all of this and streaking like a mad man...Jack caught JQ of diamonds and flopped an open ended str8 flush draw, but ended up losing 10,000 when nothing came  How can you miss that hand?

Anyway he then got moved it sounds like, and he had a very aggressive player (asian guy go figure) at his table and it also sounds like he got tired. After all they played from Noon till 3am. Anyway, the black cat AQ struck AGAIN and AGAIN  Jack assured me next time he gets AQ it will be in the muck...that was the hand that knocked him out last year.

Anyway, Jack was back down to like 30,000 and popped it up to like 1600 with blinds of 200-400, the AAG (agressive asian guy) went all in from the small blind and had Jack covered...Jack folded. Then 10 minutes be4 the night is over and Jack having resigned himself to having just under 30,000 and having hit his goal for the day and wasnt planning on playing any hands (5 more). Well he picks up AQ suited in middle position and stabs 800 at the blinds, he gets reraised to like 2500 and calls...flop is Q-9-? :com: AAG bets 4,000 and Jack just called, the turn is a blank, and the guy bets 5,000, Jack calls again.....river is a 9, the guy checks (?) so does Jack, and the guy flips over J9  What a ridiculous hand, and nice check by that clown on the river??? Glad he did though otherwise Jack could be in worse shape...Now, Im not on here to critique Jacks play in any way, but my observation is he played that hand horribly and he knew it..he is so gunshy with AQ and even said he was thinking that way. He clearly should have made it 12,000 on the flop and moved the guy out, and he normally would. Thats where I think that tourney is so tough, 15 hours is A BUNCH of poker and fatigue kicks in.

MJ was pretty upbeat, is going to run around with the wife for a day or two but that last hand is really bothering him.The bitch is he has to sit on that fu*ker for 4 days!!!! He already has his seat assignment and table for Tuesday, and they gave him some sort of chart showing the chip stacks at his table. No real monster stacks, so he was pretty happy with his chances to get going again on Tuesday..

For MadJack sports, this is Agent 0659 signing off...

Great update, Agent!! Certainly not timely, but well written and excellent use of smilies to articulate points.

Looking forward to the updates on Tuesday!!

Enjoy Vegas, Jack !!! . . . and make sure you get your nightly 10 hours

And just a suggestion, You may want to try and get in touch with dr. freeze and Sun Tzu ahead of time for the more critical analysis of the play as they, too, have really high opinions of themselves and tend to downplay the accomplishments of others.

As much as it pains me, and believe me it does..I went back and read what I said, and you are right. I took it out, I wasnt trying to be that way at all as just trying to convey what Jack and I talked about and what I know of him. Certainly dont question Jacks ability and I took that part out because it came across wrong. That happens a lot on here!

Yeh the one thing to point out is no one knows what they would do at the tables unless you were actually sitting there playing and having to make decisions with some of the top poker players in the United States.

10k buy in , these are not pee knuckled type people.

Too bad we couldnt view the tables of particular players so we could watch the action live. Maybe Nolan Dalla can work on that.

it looks like hundreds of people are less stacked than Jack.

Jack's in a good position. He made it to the second day.

Anything can happen now.

Just a few good cards here and there, and then bamm... all in
double chips

At first I was thinking its not fair to make them play 15 hours, but when I think about it, that part of the game of poker. Over long years ago poker went late into the nights.

Fatigue plays a big part in separating the men from the boys. Maybe Jack should get plenty of rest the next few days. Not alot of any other gambling.
Sit by the pool drink margaritas and relax.

It seems simple enough
