You conclude with a question as to what to do. First of all, although I do not know for sure, I believe the the fundamentalist numbers are about equal on both sides (islam and christianity). They both need to either be totally quelched or substantially silenced. They are both the root of this problem.

Concur on your sharpest tack assesment. Also agree to get rid of all credit card debt. But not everyone is as bright as you. There are a bunch of uneducated people out there who get duped by the ad offering 1% interest but don't look at the fine print which allows these scumball banks to raise the rate to 25% after you have transferred other balances to their card.
Classic bait and switch. A lot of people fall prey to these predatory tactics and your buddy in DC says let the buyer beware. Although I feel he is one of the dumbest people on the planet, something had to sink in after Dahhhhhd got him into Yale.
