My son works in management for Walmart and he is scheduled to work 2pm to Midnight today. Just another reason as to why I hate Walmart. :0003

Because he has to work today?

I have had to work on thanksgiving before, its not the end of the world.

Not the end of the world by any stretch, not very conducive to a family holiday shared by 90% of the work force in america. Just saying :0008

I'm willing to bet you didn't work at Wallyworld for 10 hours.

Nope. First of all Moose out front should have told you the park is closed.

Second I could not last more then 5 minutes working there.

I do not think they should be open, but its not my business.

I have a best friend that years ago worked as a Supervisor for Wal mart

He invited a female co worker over for Thanksgiving with his family wife, kids .

She had no family in Georgia so he was being nice.

A month later he did something at work that pissed her off. She reported him and he was fired.

wal mart , nice company.

they worked the guy like a dog too. They would call him in at all hours to unload trucks if they got in a bind.

Nick...thanks for putting this in perspective...hospitals never close and the professionals who choose that career don't whine about it.

If your employer chooses to be open on Thanksgiving to be successful so they can offer people like your son a job, perhaps he should gladly make that sacrifice or find another job.

Spoken like a true consultant, :142smilie

How many hours do you spend a week sitting on your ass Bob? That would be the better question?

Nick actually didn't put anything in perspective, and neither did you.
